jt rollerson is a standup dude. always replys when i have questions about gear and drums in general. wish more drummers in his position were like that.
It’s really enjoyable to watch cool, polite people with mutual respect work together on projects. Relaxed attitudes and cooperation breeds innovation. Well done.
Thanks!! It helps to hear what you want to see in the videos we are doing so we can do more like them. Each week we produce a new video and we try to make it informative but also entertaining. Appreciate the feedback!
thanks for the comment! yes it took most of the day... mostly it's coming up with the concepts and then customizing the set ups that takes most of the time as opposed to just "putting the parts together". I think my first edit on this video was about 40 minutes :-))
You're right about keeping everything, Brent. My drum set up constantly changes and although I don't use a rack anymore, I keep my Gibraltar rack hardware on the side, it comes in handy once in awhile for new changes to my kit. Definitely hardware I can rely on :)
Hey Brent, please do a rack makeover for Jon Fishman of Phish. I love the look of Van Romaine's kit in the most recent Gibraltar ads, and I think Fishman's kit is long overdue for such a transformation!
this is easily the roughest part of getting a rack. after the first setup, it's so much easier. cant believe you guys chopped this down to 16 minutes... i know it took all day. :)
Dude, where can i send a picture of my gibraltar to? I did a hybrid rack, using One tripod in the middle and One bar, and One tripod on my right side, replaced the whole rack with two stands pretty much. haha D roddy helped me out
very nice? any thoughts on the best setup for a roland vdrum td30 kvs pro? Also, do you have the ability for each tube to be slightly different diameters so I could put them inside eachother for storage or travel?
Does the rack come with the cymbal booms or no? I have really old cymbal stands and want to get this rack but dont wanna buy new boom stands for this rack:/
Only problem is most drummers want to use their drum brand hi hat stands because they are better and more responsive. Id feel uncomfortable using a gibraltar next to my speed cobras and replacing my iron cobra hi hat.
Because of the music genre. Pop music drummers have cymbals with lots of attack and short sustain so they will sound trashy on their own, but sound really great with the music once you hear all of it together.

Been playing a Giblartar rack for almost 20 years now...
I love it.
Rock solid!!!

i enjoy watching him play
Beautiful drum color, nice to show that off for sure.
Hard to say exactly... we built the rack over a 4 hour period at Center Stage but the process was slowed down due to the filming.
NEW CLASSIC
Really hope you guys are planning on doing videos like this more often :)
Just bought a new Gibraltar rack and can't wait to try it live !!!
The best thing about the video is that sand ride.
Nice work mate....
I really like the look and sound of that hammered brass snare

I love the look on the spider rack, and Brent I like that v bar next to that flour tom on his left side...cool idea!
This was fun to watch.
congrats on the new rack! once you get some pic's post on our facebook page-always love seeing what you guys are doing!
you know Brett I love you
yes it is! Sometimes it's difficult to photograph how sexy these bigger racks are! So much detail and sooo much Chrome :-)) Thanks for watching!
Awesome!!!
Thanks for your help. I'll post some. Your videos have so many ideas, thanks too.

that drummer seem to be a really cool and humble guy

great video
some day I´ll be there
Best thing to do is post your pic's on our facebook page. The link is in the description box.
Lots of parts to loose on tour ha . I know I always carry a pipe cutter in my snare bag with a full set of blue prints.
Is his stack a 16" meinl trash crash and 12" trash splash?

Incredible man. Wish I had gone this route instead of a zillion stands.

Did you ever buy anything for your TD 30 kit I like to know I got the same kit
my KIT!!!!!!!! but mine is BSP VG BLACK SPARKLE
Surely I am not the only person that questions using the brass snare as an aux and not the main.
Setting that up throughout a whole tour would be miserable. But still fun.
thats the whole reason for the rack...
Good thing they have memory locks
That is why God made rodies...
I want to learn this
This should be called unintentional ASMR
Has anyone said to you that you look like Tony Romo?
Bring back Brett!
Around 16 mins in I heard someone start doing the Jeff Porcaro beat from Rosanna lol.
haha I set you up nicely for that one!!
I don't know if I should get a curved rack system or a straight bar system?
It boils down to the look you want for your set up.
Where did the V shaped rack go? I don't find them on the website anymore and i see them used often.
What mics do you recommend for the drums (making live music).
Thanks

Hi! is there somewhere I could send some pics of my custom rack? I need some new ideas from you thank you.
What was the total build time for the rack?
why does brent not look at a photo of the guys set up to get a brief idea of what goes where?
Muito complicado, prefiro os convencionais.
Only problem is most drummers want to use their drum brand hi hat stands because they are better and more responsive. Id feel uncomfortable using a gibraltar next to my speed cobras and replacing my iron cobra hi hat.
Just bought à
Those sand rides really do work well for just about anything, don't they?
what is the drum?
These videos are my new drum and drum rack porn!
So to speak ;-)
I knew he played meinl
Same stack as mike johnston
Wear gloves to keep your prints and oil off the chrome.
Wat grestch seris is that
USA Custom
Gunell Vaughn- Jackson No USA Custom, that's a New Classic kit ;)
Why do most of his cymbals sound like rusty bin lids? I think that was meinl's inspiration when creating the byzance series.

looks like tony romo...
