I've used the blue eye trick all my life, starting when I was 17, and now I'm 67, and still doing this! But I do it more subtly than the tiktok girl, as too much blue doesn't look classy. These Tiktokers make me smile as they really believe they've invented everything. :D
Totally agree, i have been doing this since i was 14. Im 58 now, its the same for green kohl on green eyes , but yes, the kids do think they invented everything haha
They do it for Likes and Comments. And negative reviews are better than no reviews where social media is concerned. Sad.

Yessss!! lol, I saw another girl explaining how to apply eyeliner to the upper lid right into the lash line for a minimal eye makeup effect and tik tokkers were just amazed at how it opened the eye! I said to myself, this is called "tight lining” and it’s been around since as far back as I can remember.
Even though my eyes are a medium brown ... nothing special except that they work, lol ... that didn't stop me from generously using the brilliant blue mascara which was popular in the mid sixties. My optometrist almost fell off his stool when he looked through the bright lights of his equipment and was nearly blinded by my efforts at ocular beauty! I'm 72 years now and still chuckle at that memory ... I hope he does, too 🙂 We ladies of extended experience will smile fondly at the youth of today, and I know we will wish (most of) them well as they live and learn.
For years I have dyed my eyebrows with “Just For Men.” It’s meant for men’s beards and mustaches, but our eyebrows are also made of hair, so it works. It’s a vegetable dye and I found it lasted about a month. After you’ve applied it and you’re waiting, you’ll start to look like Groucho Marx, but don’t be alarmed. When you wipe it off, your brows and the skin underneath will be the colour you chose. Then it gradually fades over the next 3-4 weeks.

That blue waterline trick has been around for decades, and not just for blue eyed people. Years ago my mom went for a makeup consultation with one of the Westmore family. (They dominated the film makeup industry in Hollywood for generations.) She had green eyes and he used an almost turquoise blue liner on her bottom waterline. Makes a difference! It was also the first time I ever saw contouring. Women didn't do that much (if at all) in the 1960s.
That trick with the blue eyeliner we use to do stuff like that back in the 80s

I was doing my makeup while watching this video and decided to try out that blue-eyes eyeliner trick. It did help extend the appearance of my eyes. I also used a white eyeliner to help extend the whites of my eyes, and I would recommend using the beige instead. I mean it works and makes the eyes look bigger, but I just felt like it looked a little too unnatural.
luminese eye drops work really good along with a nude colored eyeliner in your water line 🙂

Buxom makes glosses that look scary blue/purple in the tube, but are quite sheer and give a beerie look. It also makes your teeth look more white

I have light brown eyes and I've always leaned towards the olive green or "army green" eyeliner and shadow. I discovered burgundy eyeliner and shadow about 7 years ago and I've been using it often (I really don't wear makeup every day). But it really makes my eyes sort of highlighted and they appear to stand out. I never get compliments on my eyes but I have since wearing the burgundy shadow and/or liner. Looking forward to trying the masscara! Thank you!
I have barely any eyebrows so I use the tattoo brow. It always peels off perfectly , people always ask if I’ve had them done professionally. Love it😊

Thank you Shea. I have found that a very light blue liner on the bottom waterline really works wonders even on my green eyes. White works well as long as it is not too stark white. The other tips are great. Hope you are feeling better.

Shea, did you know that if you use black mascara, tip your Lashes with brown mascara and it will make them look longer too.

I have blue eyes, and I love the Maybelline Nudes of NY Eyeshadow Palette. I do the base of my eyes using the same bronzer I use on my cheeks. From the corner of my eyes, to about the middle, I use the shade Fighter from palette 💙🧡💙🧡I line the top of my eyes with, Loreal Make up Matt Signature Eye Liner in Burgandy. Once it’s dry, I go over the burgundy eye liner with the shade Globe Trotter from the palette, just to seal the deal. I use black eyeliner on my waterline. I love Loreal Infallible Lacquer Eyeliner in Black, comes with a brush. That stuff stays on your waterline🎉🎉. On my crease, I use Voyager from Palette. I dab on Julep Eye Shadow Stick Pearl Shimmer 101, which you recommended, in the inner corner of my eyes, and under my brows. Orange makes blue eyes crazy. Also, Burgandy eyeliner along with the orange is ridiculous. This for me, would be a night look. I’m 63 years old. I have loved makeup since I was 10, but wasn’t allowed to wear it🤣🤣
Haha I'm watching this right after finishing my blush lip tattoo appt. I had my brows nano tattood a year or so ago too. I'm loving it. Low maintenance!

Oh my goodness. You are so right! I just got the Maree lip butter in the mail and put it on. It is really the best lip product ever. I have dry peeling lips that hurt. I put this on just about an hour ago and my lips feel so good and look good too. Thank you! (PS. I'm not just saying this. It's the truth)

Great tips. Thank you Shea. Copper eyeliner for blue eyes makes them really pop too. I got mine from charlotte tilbury called coooer charge. She has a lot of liners and shadows for eye Color’s but of course you don’t need that high of a price tag by shipping around using those suggestions

I like alot of these ideas! One thing i have started to do, is be high maintenance so I can be low maintenance. I got laser hair removal, so i almost never have to shave. I got my eyebrows microbladed, so I never have to mess with them. I plan on getting lash extensions as well, so I don't have to fiddle with mascara. I take very good care of my skin and get facials, so I don't have to wear foundation (or very little). Things like this are expensive, but for me the payoff of being able to roll out of bed, throw on clothes, and get out the door while still looking good, is worth it. Just some suggestions, obviously to each their own 😊
I've had one of those mascara fiber thingies for a while now, and they really work, however, they are very light and have the bad habit of getting in my eyes. When you wear contacts, a little piece of fiber feels like a boulder in your eye, so I learned to never use it when I'm in a hurry. When I have time, great, I'll apply it slowly and carefully, and I like the result a lot. But in a hurry, I prefer to skip it.
My favorite brow product I’ve ever used (as a strawberry blonde)is brow wig by too faced ! I got it at TJMAXX lmao

Thanks for all your great tips, but I think the one with the blue undertone in lipsticks for whiter teeth will literaly have the opposite effect, because blue and yellow are on the opposite sides of the colour wheel, so it will make your yellow teeth pop instead of tricking the eye into thinking, that your teeth are whiter than they actually are.

I have the cocoa stain in that brands lips stain .
It’s more natural color than there pink option , it’s not a nude, but a pretty brownish pink .
For the lip product it would have been good to see a large close up of the before like the after photo. Also the before should also include a random gloss to see if its just the fact that they are glossy which always improves how your lips appear.

A subtle lip product is less distracting than an overly glossy lip product.

I've always worn green on my bottom waterline for my green/ hazel eyes. But, the issue is it smudging... any tips??
a good eyeliner is more expensive but seems to not irritate my eyes and stay longer. maybe if your eyes are sensitive try a brand like allay? i also use luminese eye drops and they are everything 💙

I’m 31 and I’ve never dyed my hair😬😬😬 I’m so happy with my natural color and I’ve always been told by hair stylists not to dye it. I’m also way too lazy to keep up with it.
Looks are important too look groomed n pretty everyone should try their best. It’s a reflection of self care and interest in one’s own existence. We are body and soul n personality. Work on all of the above
Maybelline has the same brow gel tint (called tattoo brow?). It was great & I used it for a couple of years until I got my brows micro bladed 4 yrs ago.
