This is exactly what is going to happen for 2023 hunting season. In east Idaho we had a dry fall and early winter, as well as a very long hard winter. I hunt the way you are describing in looking at food plots, as well as water. Thanks for the podcast, I enjoy and learn everyday in the field.

Corey, I agree with you. My mind is blown with this information. As if the elk don't make me feel dumb enough. Now I got to think about this. 😁🤔 Great Podcast guys. I have a lot of respect for all the camera folks. I couldn't keep up with Corey on my best day, never mind carrying around a camera and all the gear, then having to edit all of it.

Corey on the atv or more like a sxs last year I hunted an unit in Idaho that has road restrictions on it. Being a non resident I try to keep it legal all the time, but I guess if your a resident you can do whatever you want. It seemed like everyone and his brother drives a heated, covered sxs wherever they fell like.

Carry a motor vehicle usage map, then show it to them.....it's the only way we can ever educate people

@@Dyna2023 I was hunting with my cousin from Idaho and when he confronted them on it most of them just laughed it off. I find it very disgusting when residents complain about non resident, but act like this when out hunting. Reality people like that are the problem no matter where they live.

@@billysilva6388 yeah that sucks...if they blow me off or take off (run away) before we I turn them in to forest service all the time, if they are illegally using vehicle under fish and game regs, then I call fish and game...Fish and game probably carries a little stiffer penalty...I hate to resort to that, but if people won't talk to me then they can figure it out with the law. There are alot of residents that do obey the rules, and I don't run into out of state people with vehicle misuse, it's a few bad apples. The sense of entitlement that some have is really sad.

This is not nerding out. This is valuable info. I use it for muleys. It works. They will give up cover to eat in a burn .

Corey, My father and I just drew the same tag you just drew in Colorado. Are you going to be hunting private? Unit is 70% private. Just wanted to make sure I dont call ya in... or vice versa😄
