Thanks for the info regarding the board
Had no idea this existed. “What a day for Homer J”.
haha, yeah, its quite fun for sure
I have mas respect for you, Luke. Ever since you helped me fix my NGCD, I've been watching your vids religiously. Hope you're okay with all the taifuu troubles hitting Japan. Cheers!
Thanks a lot for the kind words Eduardo. Im glad that the vids could help. The Typhoon here did cause damage around Japan but luckily I wasnt affected by it.
So glad it’s all working for ya man. It actually looks like it would be quite fun . Great work bro
Thanks a lot for the info and how to get that disk made up bro, really appreciate it a lot! Some gameplay coming up next
always fixing and leaving notes for others, nice work Luke
Thanks as always my friend. I have had lots of help fixing boards and Its a game of give and take I suppose. Just trying to give back a bit.
Fun game. Glad you were able to get this running again.
Thanks again man for the info. Glad to have been able to get it running as well
YES! Finally a new repair video :D
Thanks :) hopefully it will help out a few others
Great job Luke! Never seen this one before!
Thanks a lot man, Hope you are getting your repairs done as you always do too! Yeah, its quite need
Bowling and Golf being only sports games I usually like, this one looks right down my alley :P
I totally agree! I can enjoy playing both of them as well. Try this one out if you get the chance :)
Sad this never got a home port released with a trackball, or at the very least a Wii version considering how popular Wii Sports bowling was back in the day.
I agree, this is a neat little game and can still be used via mame but yeah, a port would be nice
@@lukemorse1 No doubt MAME is an option, but I was thinking accessibility for the masses. Heck I'd even take something like the Plug N' Play Golden Tee Golf(I own both, and the are good at family gatherings) games for this one.
So sleek and nice!
It plays quite well without any loading time at all really during gameplay.
@@lukemorse1 So its load everything to ram? no access to scsi drive during gameplay?
I never actually played this one that intro took me by surprise! LOL that's so perfect though. :P maybe if I see one in the wild I'll give it a spin. great video as always good to see new stuff from here!
Good to hear from you man. Yeah, if you have a chance to play it in the wild I think you will enjoy it.
Bowling game?? Wow! Thank u for the information 🙂 now I want to play but I guess it’s hard to find and probably expensive 😭
Yeah, It can be found, usually around $375-$400 but you can always wire up a mame cab and play it that way as well.
What an awesome game to have. Would be quite enjoyable to play throwing back a few beers!
Excellent video my dude
Nice repair 👍
Thanks a lot Tony, I appreciate it a lot
Luke does it again, Great job ;)
Haha, thanks a lot as always. much appreciated my friend
Hey nico, cousin. Lets go bowling
Haha, GTA 4, Nice one
@@lukemorse1 literally the first thing that comes to my mind whenever i hear the word "bowling" :)
very cool
Glad you liked it Eddie! thanks for that man
"Hey, let's bowl!" :)
lol, Leeeeeeeague Booooooowlllllllling
@@lukemorse1 Oh yeah! One of my favorite Neo-Geo games.
I have a VHS video of me playing this in 1991, on my way to a perfect game... UP UNTIL the very last frame 10-3, where I screw up and end up with a 299 score. It's still my best score by far, but also an epic fail if there ever was one. Haha
Some day I need to capture it and upload it to RUclips. I haven't even watched it in nearly 30 years.
I like your videos and I like aracde games also the MCDOG video is my favorite video
Are ya still in Japan? If so, I hope the typhoon didn't hit ya too hard.
Thanks, yes, luckily I didnt get hit too hard by the storm but there were some places around here that were pretty bad.
@@lukemorse1 Good to hear, but I've been following this storm as a wrestling fan, because it's the fist time I've ever heard of a world title being dropped (NJPW/AEW's John Moxley) due to this type of storm, and not being able to travel to defend it. Crazy stuff indeed!
I've played that game a lot this year and i know that if the game reboots unexpectedly during gameplay as it loads up a voice sample, its 100% the drive that's being dumb. BTW does the audio cable needs to be plugged in for the audio to be heard? I've checked the original disc and there's no CDDA tracks for the voice samples.
And also, can the CD drive be swapped out with a SCSI DVD drive? I'd love all the help i can get from the community to help the local party place in my town that has a Simpsons Bowling cab get their cab up and running again.
As it stands at the moment, the board throws a CDR ERROR message before it reboots.
CDR ERROR is caused by a bad drive as well as the other points you mentioned above. As for the SCSI DVD Drive, Im not sure if it will work or not but it is worth a shot. If it does work and you could leave a comment here about it, that may help out others. Just by replacing that drive, you should be able to get the bowling game up and running again. Make sure there is a fan on it as well to avoid the overheating. Also, Check the Jumper settings on the new drive and make sure they are set right like the ones in the video. If you do get yours running, feel free to make a video and a link to yours so others can check it out :)
Also, about the sound, it will come out from JAMMA so you dont need to use the other cable at all :)
I just picked up the arcade machine today! It was working no issues when I went to look at the system, but after a long journey home, I'm getting stuck on the media check. No error just sits on that screen. Any suggestions?
cool video
Man, if only KONAMI kept the Simpsons license. I thought KONAMI Co., Ltd. developed the game- they did not. It was KONAMI of America.
Seriously agree. If Konami only .......Kept being like old Konami lol
Any way to change the SCSI to a SD card? Just saying that would be a great long term fix.
Hey brother, how did you get it to play on a computer monitor?! I’ve been trying this for years with adapters and what not but nothing!
Can you replace the drive with a hard disk or are there SCSI emulators?
This uses the PlayStation Sound chip so this is a modified PlayStation that KONAMI used for their arcade games.
Really need a CDRwin copy of Simpsons Bowling CD with rawcopy option turned have board and harness no CD :(
Hello do you work on these, haveing issue with my Simpson's bowling board and or rom player.
I cant find the Chadman (sp?) program. Any more info? I'm working on resurrecting one of these right now!
ohhhh, chdman! Any link to this Killer Instinct technique you stated?
Was this in Japan only?
No, this board is from the US and may have been a US only release
"Wii" bowling 🎳
That would be great for sure
Simpons...
Oh! didnt see the mistake, thanks for pointing that out, Ill correct it now
