Lovely to see another English podcast from you, Anna. Your designs are keeping you busy! You are definitely not alone with the reluctance to sew versus knit. My little girl just turned 2 and I find knitting so easy to pick up and do a couple of rows here and there during the busy days with a toddler. It is also more sociable as I can do it anywhere and sewing is a bit less portable. Hope to see you again soon and find out what else you have been knitting/designing. :)
Very nice podcast, as allways 👍 I’m watching both the french and english versions for each episode 🙈 It’s such a pleasure to see your projects and designs 😉 Just one question : maybe did I miss something (or did I misunderstood 🤔) but could you explain a little bit the problems with the Drops yarns ? Many thanks in advance 🤗
Gwendoline E hello Gwendoline, thank you for your sweet comment! Well if you look at Drops designs patterns (especially the last collection) you can see that a number of their design are very very very (too much) inspired from indie designers. The two I can name are a sweater with a brioche yoke from Fiber Tales (too similar) or a jumper they made using the exact same colourwork chart as the Baable hat... it’s not a nice and respectful behavior sadly, especially from such a big company... people tried to confront them about the (too) many similarities with other people’s design but they never answer... very sad :(
