    because of the missing wheels I would look in the riverbed under the bridge and because of a technically correct restoration I would inquire at the Museum Full in Switzerland. Good work.

    • @PanzerPicture
      @PanzerPicture  4 года назад

      The wheels were sold off, and some were scrapped after the war.
      The full museum is doing a great job, but it's almost taking them 20 years to do it. I have seen much better projects being done much faster.

    Such a shame to see a once beautiful tank in this very poor state. Good luck with the resto.

  • @rodhayes7777
    @rodhayes7777 9 месяцев назад

    This Panther Ausf G tank is intact. It's mostly there.
    It's amazing what of this tank is still with us. I like the round gun mantlet.
    This can be made complete very much like the rest, like the ones in France, America, and Australia. It shouldn't take that much.
    And if its replacement wheels don't match (i.e. Ausf G wheels mixed with Ausf D and Ausf A wheels), then it'll appear as if it was sent to the shop a number of times during the last great war.

    I hope they will restaure it well. It's a shame to let such a piece of history become like that, so rusted and nearly everything lost...

    Pretty sad sight. What can they realistically do,there aren’t any left in the world. Hunt down parts or make new ones. Too bad all were scrapped after the war.

    • @rodhayes7777
      @rodhayes7777 9 месяцев назад

      They've got enough to revive this, if they can get the support. I saw what Bruce Crompton to was able to accomplish.
      It could be worse. This tank can be restored.

  • @MirceaD28
    @MirceaD28 5 лет назад +1

    My advice is to restore the engine full running order because they are rare. Tanks that have been salvage from lakes had their engine fixed so this one can be also.

    • @PanzerPicture
      @PanzerPicture  5 лет назад

      Engine has been traded to restore the running gear and it will always be a monument, so they will never restore it to running condition.

  • @JohnW852

  • @fw1421
    @fw1421 6 лет назад +1

    This Panther is about as far gone as I’ve seen. It would take millions to bring it back to running condition and I doubt they will be able to get the parts necessary to make it presentable as a monument,but I wish them luck.

    • @PanzerPicture
      @PanzerPicture  6 лет назад +2

      It's for a monument, so they only need to clean it up and restore it for static display.

    • @rodhayes7777
      @rodhayes7777 9 месяцев назад

      @@PanzerPictureStill, if the right people get ahold of this antique, the impossible might be accomplished. Bruce Crompton and his team have done it before.
      Still, give these guys here that produced this video the credit they deserve. They are the stewards of this valuable Panther tank.
      It needs its light, its wheels, its exhaust pipes, and a whole lotta extra. Folks make rebuilt engines for cars. It's not so far fetched.
      Granted Bruce Crompton got engine parts from an available Panther Ausf D to fix the Australian Panther Ausf A.
      Thanks for this video.
