Neat tools, basically there is a big similarity (almost a copy) of the ASE plugin. But this version is visually better processed.

    ASE.

This is basically ASE with a more polished interface, but less options (I believe)

ASE seems to have a lot of these features... some better. Eg: hide notices doesn't remove them totally, but puts then in a NOTICES menu that appears next to your user name.
Maybe make a video on ASE or at least one that compares ... and hopefully not all dependant on affiliate links 🤪

It appears to be copying the functionality of Admin & Site Enhancements (ASE) plugin with probably a more streamlined interface. Functionality wise, I like ASE more than WP Extended. A comparison video will give more clarity to viewers.

Use case for external permalink - page has SEO friendly URL, but want to share page with shorter URL ... kinda like self managed url shortening.
I'd just make my own redirect to do that though

How does it stack up against ASE?

I'm not sure - have you used ASE?

I was wondering if this is competition to a plugin called Admin and Site Enhancements?

      Absolutely it is
We can't have both so gotta pick. I am an ASE man now, but there will be jealous glances at some of the features listed for the plugin reviewed herein 😮

54:57 Exporting posts without an import feature is like backing up without a restore feature. Small things like this make me lose faith in the entire plugin and developer.

My takeaway question is: Do I want something like this that is supposed to do everything, or do I pick and choose some of the features I need at the cost of having a few more plugins (when I need very few)? My conclusion is: I'd rather have a few plugins I know are the best, rather than one bigass kitchen sink with a bunch of junk I won't use. It's all code. A couple more specialized plugins isn't more overall code, it's more focused code. I need to choose the very best for my needs without complexity, or worse, bloat. Jack of all trades or master of some that I can choose? It is crystal clear to me. I appreciate what they have done, but the dudes need to learn how to focus. Way overcomplicated.

This plugin is trying to do what ASE has already perfected. These plugins exist so you can do most of the very simple things you'd normally install a bunch of different plugins to accomplish. For example, it seems insane to use ELEVEN SEPARATE PLUGINS for adding header/footer code, connecting an SMTP server for emails, uploadings SVGs, ordering your posts/pages, cleaning up the admin interface, simple security features like a custom login URL, disabling comments, cleaning up metadata, obfuscating email addresses, resizing huge images on upload, and managing robots.txt, when all of these items are very simple and can be consolidated in one app. Use dedicated plugins for more complex tasks.
