Oh, This is going to be very challenging for me. But is to be expected, I only picked up guitar 10 months ago at the age of 68. You've been so helpful all along my new venture.
Very cool acoustic style that is way better than I would expect I'm thinking my band could pull this off I would go 15:45 acoustic to add a different contrast
There’s a middle ground between a full on note for note solo or just playing chords by themselves for the outro. Just mix in some bluesy embellishments around the chord shapes
Can you do a further lesson on how you pick the melody while strumming @4:50. I’ve been trying to learn this technique for so long, I think it sounds better than finger style. I’ve never seen someone do a cover of this song using that technique either.
Hey Andy would love the tutorial for all the mini melodies in this song for electric just to get that full song learnt feeling of accomplishment. About to buy an electric after playing acoustic for 1 year. Really excited!
Not of the greatest importance, but... Primarily the first time thru the opening i VI V iv chord progression under the solo, i swear I hear the IV chord rather than the iv chord, at least in passing. I've found some dissension on this matter online also. The first two times through the progression, Slash doesn't solo using the sixth degree of Em i.e. the defining 3rd of the A chord... which makes it easier to hear the underlying progression. Last two times thru however, he does... via hitting the C (and the C only); and while it could be a "blue note," my ears pretty much hear Am there. Best guess, the first time thru the progression it sounds to me like this (playing on 1 2 + + 4 +): x022xx x0222x x02221x x02221x x02221x x02221x
amazing video been practicing of another video for a while but this makes so much more sense. I can't figure out the bit at the end of the intro can anyone help me out ?
Hey Andy, Am a beginner guitar I have had a guitar for a few years playing on and off, but recently started playing it daily strumming the basic 4 chords and don't seem to progress. Am 38 and I think my dexterity isn't up to the younger peeps is there anything I can do to practice that? I bring it up in this video as I am absolutely unless at picking
Amazing arrangement, PLEASE could you do either a video showing the melody or do a tab? The tab linked shows intro and chords but not the melody and it sounds so good!
I imagine I will most people, hence why I did a play through, not a tutorial. I plan on doing a full electric tutorial for all the solos, so you might have more luck then. It's easier on electric guitar for sure.

Absolute legend for this, Andy! Slash on the acoustic is a tough one, but always a feel-good classic.
Amazing. Very helpful. Quite challenging but the simple version should be achievable.

I’ll comment again in two years, once I’ve mastered this song.

I'm a guitarist and have to learn this song for a New years party . This was a great lesson thanks . AJ.....
Because of the standard tuning, I think it is very reminiscent of the intro to More than A Feeling 😮😮. Anyways, great tutorial as always!!! 😊😊

Awesome lesson. Great vocal too
Awesome tutorial Andy! Is that solo mainly in D major pentatonic or E minor?
Glorious! I love this variation. Thank you!
Nothings gonna change my love for you- tutorial please
was waiting for this one
Very cool one. But I'm still Stirling through the electric Paradise City. I don't think you have a tutorial one that one, did you?
Awesome😮
I'm still waiting on that solo tutorial and the lower standard tuning one
if you tune your guitar to D#, it will be same with original ;-)
great but i prefer elettric guitar can you repet whit this?
Thanks!
Hello sir, what kind of mic do you use in your videos? Hope you notice 🙏 I'm from philippines
Excellent 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you! Cheers!
Thanks❤
Were you in standard tuning or tuned down a half step?
I'm in standard tuning, so you all can jam along to me without tuning down. Just tune down 1/2 a step to jam along to the original recording
Thanks. You do great tutorials.
That’s a nice class
I like this
Great video Andy and great song but lost me on the solo.😓
I imagine I will most people, hence why I did a play through, not a tutorial. I plan on doing a full electric tutorial for all the solos, so you might have more luck then. It's easier on electric guitar for sure.
Go to playback speed and slow the video down
@@andycrowley mate, you've got guitar lesson/tutorial in the title

Fantastik!
What abt the end of. The intro
Loving the melody added in, thanks for this one
I always thought the chorus was c to d not c to b? Maybe I hear it wrong?
Use electric guitar strings on your acoustic guitar your solos will be easier to play and sound better too 😉
Watch Alip Ba ta's child o mine acoustic gitar cover, you'll find amazing sounds
Awesome I just wish I knew what it all means 😂
Weird... I always play the first part on the 9th to 12th fret.
