Meniscus Bucket Handle Tear

- A meniscus tear is a common sports injury that can occur as a result of twisting or turning quickly. A longitudinal, or bucket handle tear, occurs when the entire inner-margin of the meniscus is ripped, and becomes displaced. This may cause the knee to lock intermittently.

You should do a observation of Temporomandibular joint displacement in the jaw. complex joint with bilateral movement!
Helping me straighten out good video.
Currently recovering from this after a BJJ injury, fucking sucks.
Same here buddy keep your head up, mine was last week any updates?
@@samnazar6062Yesterday a snap sound came from my knee and i lost my balance and fell down......and now my leg is stuck and it won't get straight....i am feeling something is obstructive movement...Doc said it will get back to normal within 3 days🫠🫠
Me too! How are you guys doing now
Haven't gotten officially diagnosed. My appointment is on Wednesday but I'm pretty sure this is what the prognosis is going to be
About a year and a half later now, another tear generated after my first surgery and wasn’t making great progress so I had a second repair this past February. Doing much better this time around.
This is like mechanics for the human body
Knee lock position and more pain
What does knee bursitis look like?
For anyone out there suffering from this injury who doesn't want to or cant get surgery.
I had many set backs but after almost a year it's finally healed.
The key for me is doing bodyweight exercises. Doing lots of Yoga and then doing heavy weights especially squats.
Just stick with it
How did you know you had meniscus tear. Had you undergone MRI before your therapy began.
@@brakehorsepower2509 yeh I left it for a while hoping it would heal. But trying to get back into sports any time i would change direction or twist my knee would lock up and flare up.
Got the MRI. A tear in the medial miniscus.
Lots of people suggesting immediate surgery but also lots of people complaining about problems after surgery. I did lots of bodyweight stuff and then started doing some dumbell work, squat, calf raise, lunge, abductor/ adductor machines Physio also said leg raise machine with emphasis on the final çouple of inches of movement would help.
I had more setbacks but about 8 months after the injury I started going to Yoga classes and felt it helped a lot. Then I started doing barbell squats and increasing the weight each week.
Feels like it's healed now, i'm back competiting in BJJ.
Thank God! The body is amazing, trust in it
@@pllastmanstanding9716 Thank you for your advice. I have got medial meniscus tear as well and had done my MRI. The doctor told me i need surgery. But i told him i ll think it first. I decided not to go for surgery. Im taking glocusamine and doing some exercises.
@@brakehorsepower2509 yes i recent started taking Glucosamine sulphate for my ribs haha, works a treat and could be helping with the knee too.
Best of luck man!
@@pllastmanstanding9716 hello, well done for ur healing process.
Congratulations.
But I have an MRI next week, will it show the whole meniscus
It this a scary surgery its awful dont crate
Yes
Y xq raioz pasa eso???
If I bend my knee when the leg muscles are tense, my knee makes a loud clicking sound. I wonder if this might be kind of a reason. Doctors couldn't explain why this happens
Hello there, unfortunately we do not conduct any medical service. Please contact your local doctor.
Thank you, 3D4Medical from Elsevier
The clicking is likely your kneecap “clicking” back into place as you bend your knee, it’s caused by some of your leg muscles that connect to it being too tight and displacing it while bending. You can likely stop it by making sure to stretch all muscles in your leg quite well and then bending the knee to see if that solves the issue.
Source: not a doctor, watched another doctor’s video about knee clicking and followed his advice (which worked for me)
This is happening to me too rn i don’t know why
Maybe you have the plica syndrome
Is it painful
Eu não tenho cartilagem nos dois joelhos não posso pisar no chão que os tornozelo dói muito meu ombro Des coloca com facilidade tenho que fazer cirurgia mas estou há dois anos esperando pelo SUS.
I've dealt with this twice, wouldn't recommend
Feel the paiiinnnn!!!!!
I have had one twice now, it doesnt really hurt at all.
I have a meniscus bucket handle tare and I have not been able to walk in 4 weeks. I will be having surgery in a few days, will I be able to walk again after surgery ?
I have also meniscus injury
I'm on rest from last 2week ...
How much time taken for slow down the swelling
Yes. 😊
Can I ask how you walked when you did? We’ve been fighting with my daughter’s knee. Hers buckles with every step.
Semoga sehat selalu.Aammiinn.
Yep just found out I have this now I have to decide if I want surgery or not
Don’t do it. If you have no pain I was very fit decided to have it told I can’t squat run walk long distances. Makes you old over night just get a good physio
@@keystosuccess980hey bro, so you didn’t get surgery and are still able to run and lift?
@@GdogRBLX I did but a broken meniscus is better that none. So I advise against it try physio take it serious.
@@keystosuccess980You didn’t get surgery? I think I might need to, I can’t fully straighten my leg because of it so I may need it
i have same thing
I think this happened to me! I twisted my knee by stepping up onto a water trough to sit on my horse and I have pain and my knee clicks and locks a lot. dr said to just go easy but I'm still hurting (this was about a month ago)
Guess you should visit another doctor then. That sounds serious.
@@olyn8683 I've tried to tell my mom but she says I should just wait it out a little longer. We were told that I should wear a brace and if my knee isnt better by 6 weeks they will do an MRI to see if i pulled/ripped anything
@@Artax_The_Magical mmh that sucks. I mean twisting a leg like that definitly is not a thing that happens naturally so there definitly happens some damage. I wish the best for you and really hope that they will treat it seriously
@@olyn8683 thank you, I hope so too
This did happene to me, I hyper extended my right knee playing football and I couldn’t bend my knee at all, like I could normally bend it more then 180 degrees which is crazy for a boy who doesn’t do gymnastics and I couldn’t bend it 50 at that time, I had to get sergerey about a few weeks after that, I was out for a week, and was on crutches for about 3 months, and had to where a knee brace like Forrest Gump lmao, and it sucked, I had to where that for like 4 more months and that whole time I took phosical therepy, and I live near a PT place for old people and the one for kids was on the other side of the city so my mom just went there with me, I had to do stuff with like people on there death beds 🛌, but this is all like a year ago I’m fine now, it hurts from time to time, but I have to not overuse that it, I can’t bend it as much as I used to be able to but I’m fine now, and you shouldn’t have anything to worry about because of you can still bend it and twist it and do squat jumps on it, it’s most likely fine 👍
