The one and only time I remember him calling her on her two-faced actions and yet did absolutely nothing else about it but indulge her to the point of lying and protecting her from her actions in regards to his actual girlfriend that we're supposed to believe he loves more than the schemer.

The entire group in this show is trash. Even after knowing his "friend" did all that to his gf he still hid it, let her move in with him, and defended the "friend" who had confessed her love to him. And when the girlfriend caught the "friend" kissing him they gaslit her and said they told her nothing because they knew she'd be upset and that she was too young and naive to truly see the situation as it was. FL should have left and never spoken to any of them again.
She is not his friend. She was raised like his sister with him. He feels some sort of duty.
