  • In this video I explore some beautiful creeks and do some redfish fishing with lures. We even caught some nice speckled trout on this trip using soft plastic lures. Our main goal was to catch big redfish with lures but we also explored deep into this Nature Coast marsh for some bass and speckled trout. If anyone has any questions, comments, or concerns please feel free to reach out using the comment section or Instagram DMs. Tight Lines!

What type of chatterbait do you and Josh use at Yankeetown I'm interested in trying that out for snook and reds

We usually use the zman ones but we don’t always use an actual zman lure on the back. When it comes to spinner baits I think I prefer the strike king or redfish magic ones cause they have less of a tendency to climb up the water column. Let me know if you have any other questions. Also spoons have been killing it in Yankeetown right now 👀

I’m doing something wrong lol I’m 20 miles south of you and struggle hooking up on reds consistently 😂😅

😂 sometimes they just like to be difficult man! I would say throw some 3-5 inch soft plastic jerk baits and paddle tails while covering high likelihood areas for early spring. Creak mouths, grass lines, oyster bars, and shallow flats that have structure or land nearby. Topwater is also coming into play as we get warmer days!
