He’s finally starting to realize that games aren’t just about how they look graphics wise but instead they are more about how fun they are to play.
the reason why so many of the trailers seem "unprofessional" is because they are made by hat films, a group of youtubers! They often play with the yogscast, and they were all pioneers of the minecraft youtube scene way back when the game was new.
and its a indie game and its old mix those together you get some weird trailers

I'd love to see Dee Bee react to Etho's single player Lp at some point (One of the more recent world tour vids maybe?) He is one of the most influential MC RUclipsrs of all time after all (Was even the biggest in terms of sub count for a time back in the day). His LP is almost at EP 600 which will most likely be another world tour vid so it would be a good one to react to. Not to mention that his Singleplayer LP Season 2 (His current world) hits it's 10th anniversary this September.

There is a man, I kid you not, that made a playable version of the original Pokemon games in Minecraft using an extremely complex system of music boxes, pistons, etc. And he could tell you what each individual part does. It is one of the most insane things I have ever seen.
Also, you should look at the alpha and beta of Minecraft. Before it was officially released as a purchasable product, you could try it out online, and before it was available to the public, there were literally only 2 blocks in the game, and it was just a flat building plain. It shows up in most compilations of Minecraft updates. There was even a point where they removed Steve entirely and had some weird protagonists, but they removed them in the next update, "infdev".
"That world is huge" that's just what you can see in the render distance, as every block is 1 meter, an entire Minecraft world is larger than the entirety of earth not kidding.
It would take you eight hundred and twenty hours to just walk to an edge from your spawn point (we know that because it's been done, people are that dedicated.

Many people didn't really believe Steve was going to be added. We just made memes of Steve and then it became reality.
The most genius thing with Minecraft is that Notch made a simple game with simple graphics but with an enormous potential to improve and make literally whatever you want in game. Minecraft is a set of tools to create your own game. If you want Minecraft to be superrealistic - add some mods to access RTX or other technologies, install more detailed resourcepacks etc.

There are events that happen throughout the year. On April Fool’s day the staff trolls the entire Minecraft community by changing something or a fake update.
On Halloween skeletons and zombies have a chance to spawn with pumpkins on their head.
And my favorite is around Thanksgiving they change chests to like presents for the holiday season.
The problem is that minecraft is so open ended that some people find a hard time figuring out what to do. DeBeeGeek if you do plan on playing minecraft you should consider hosting a server to see what your community can do in minecraft
exactly, you don't need to kill the ender dragon or become a redstone engineer, you can do whatever cross your mind, and that is good, but sometimes is a problem, cause sometimes you don't know what to do, so that's why some people like more the "linear" games, cause it tells you what to do, and that's ok too, the only important thing it's to have fun :D

The original trailer, the 1.1 trailer, 1.2, 1.4, 1.6, 1.7, and 1.8 trailers were made by fans, with 1.1, 1.2,1.4, 1.6, 1.7, 1.8 being made by long-time big names of the community Hat Films.
It's worth mentioning the reason the higher numbered trailers were before 1.1 and 1.2 is because they were trailers for the beta, with 1.1 being the full release.
If he ever start playing minecraft we should tell him to sleep in the nether for an Easter egg...

So, I'll be honest, when I first played plain old vanilla Minecraft back in the day, I wasn't thrilled or impressed with it. I struggle with vanilla Minecraft to a certain degree, though I am having a lot of fun mucking around on the Ultimate Survival World from TrixyBlox (which he's finally finished after over a year of work, and has up on his Patreon) with some of my friends (it isn't designed to support mods, at least not using the Forge mod loader). All in all, I'm a moded Minecraft guy, and my favorite mod for the last few years has been the Minecolonies mod, where you get to build a working colony, with citizens who can be assigned practical roles, from mining, farming, and tree cutting to smelting, forging, and even enchanting. Part of the reason I like it is because it gives some good structure to the game, requiring you to go and find more and more involved resources as you go up through the ranks of the structures, since each building goes through five upgrade levels (with a couple of exceptions). The first two take regular overworld resources, the third needs materials from the nether, fourth require materials from the underwater monuments, and tier five takes materials from the end, on top of each tier requiring progressively more obscure materials from the overworld as well. So, you'll really never be lacking for resources you need to find in order to keep your colony growing. But Minecolonies aside, I generally have most enjoyed modpacks that have questing mods, because I like how they often help you develop your understanding of the progression that the different mods require.
Either way, Minecraft is one heck of a rabbit hole to go down, and on the whole, it is a lot of fun! And building on your closing thoughts, yes, the creativity is the cornerstone of it all. Not even just your own creativity, but especially the creativity of all of the people who make the mods and build the maps with so many things to explore. A lot of the old Yogscast videos are worth watching, as they go through adventure maps. Those videos were a lot of fun XD
It's also interesting having played moded Minecraft over the years to see elements from it getting pulled into the core game. Like there's different kinds of stone that were first introduced through a mod called Chisel, but now Diorite, Andesite, and Granite are vanilla elements within the game. On top of that, with the 1.20 patch about to go out, you've got things like cherry trees being added to the game, along with straw golems, both of which go very far back within moded Minecraft (straw golems were part of one of the old magic mods, Thaumcraft). Eh, would that they would give more credit to the mod creators who added these things, but... with the game continuing to grow the way it is, I guess the rising tide raises all boats equally at the end of the day.
But, ultimately, welcome to the adventure.

I could see you get more and more interested. When you look at Minecraft it's a bunch of blocks, but when you start playing it you soon realize there is more to the game than meets the eye. Minecraft mechanics are very interesting and they change quite often. I was like you about Minecraft, then one day my daughter showed me some Minecraft videos and I was intrigued. I started playing Minecraft in version 1.4 that was back at the end of 2012. What you've seen here is just the tip of the Minecraft iceberg. Especially if you play on PC. People makes games within the game of Minecraft and there are many, I'll call them genres. One of my favorites to watch is UHC(Ultra Hardcore). It's basically like the Hunger Games. And there are either teams or individuals. Last one standing wins. My other favorite genre is CTM maps. That is "Complete the Monument" where you have to find all the wool in special boxes on the map and put them on a monument. The creator/father of CTM maps is Vechs. But there are many many other talented CTM map makers out there. And then there is modded minecraft. Another favorite of mine. I saw in another comment where someone listed all the other genres. Very fun. Now I have to go see if you actually played the game. You can play any version of Minecraft you want going back Beta versions. As a matter of fact many custom made maps need to be played in the version they were created in. Anyway, have fun discovering.

I think one of my favorite modern overhaul updates is the Village and Pillage update. Having villagers with different classes, the illagers, and woodland mansion, the best overworld structure hands down.
I am so excited! Only advice: go in as blind as possible if you want the experience to be magical, or don't if you don't want to

Those thinks that would be cooler if he did blind are worth it in my opinion, as most viewers haven’t seen a new perspective on Minecraft in a long time. Also your comment on me saying not to delete his first world sounds rude and cringe. What do you mean “of all the things I could tell him?” There are other things I could tell him, and if I wanted to, I would. This isn’t taking the spot of other advise. I don’t understand your insult that I’m just salty that I lost my first world. Here is why:
A): I never had a first world that I got attached to, so your insult is wrong
B): even if I was, why would that discredit me telling him not to lose it? The fact that it is based off of my lesson would only make the advise stronger.

I mean obviously the first trailers won't be like super professional and epic but that's bc it was an indie game at the beginning, now obviously it has become a bigger thing but I still think those first trailers were so fun and they made them with love for the game

The only true Minecraft experience is playing survival for yourself.
Relaxing to the lush music, finding a new biome, getting swarmed by nobs you've never seen, finding new materials and making new stuff with them, hearing a cave sound while in an abandoned dungeon or building literally everything you want.
Minecraft can only be understood by playing it.

I watched your Minecraft Let's Play videos first, but I am glad that I have checked out this video too. I now understand how somebody who didn't grow up with Minecraft could come to experience the game for the first time. I love this game it is the only game that I actually played during its Beta. And I myself am glad to see you as a RUclipsr experiencing Minecraft for the first time.

I would still recommend waiting to play Minecraft for its update that releases in the holiday. There it'll overhaul the terrain generation, including some incredible looking mountains and many new cave changes, which has been highly demanded by the community for many years.
(If you start now, your explored area won't be able to receive these changes.)

But to leave two sentences on Minecraft here:
In my opinion Minecraft is the best game for creative people.
And redstone alone is one of the greatest game mechanics that got ever invented.
Yeah, I love the new caves. Soooooo fun to explore. They didn't show the abandoned mineshaft. Good loot in them.
As for minecraft dungeons...yes, it's different. Very fun...lots of fighting. Leveling up is easy-ish. Lots of quests to do.
Sad, not so fun fact: there was this guy recently who uploaded a video beating his own world record for the biggest minecraft pixel map art with a hololive (vtuber) landscape painting of 11 million blocks in the end of his life after 10 years fighting his disease, his name was kelanduo and the video was posted 1 week ago titled thank you, goodbye. His map arts were freakin unbelievable and his last video is so sad but so amazing.
Caves and cliffs update is also including wireless redstone electricity blocks I'm super excited! Plus finally they are releasing lightning rods so houses aren't burned down being accidentally struck by lightning
Minecraft Story Mode is basically how the players feel like when playing Minecraft, but in a trailer.
Don't misundestand, I **love** good plot in games as much as a plant loves the sun. But Minecraft has the magical effect of writing a story, your story, as you play it. I wasn't expecting it, but was quickly charmed by the experience. Do consider giving it a try. :)

honestly the best thing is to get a group together to start playing. I am a casual Minecraft player (started in like 2012) and even I struggle at times because I still don't have a group. So I end up playing a lot of mods. This is a good time to get into it, or at least try because a huge update is happening this year.

When Minecraft first came out, I was worried I'd get addicted, because it's like an infinite Lego box. That, and I was already playing a few MMO's that took all my time.
5 years later, my xbox fried, and 9 months later, family bought me a replacement for Xmas, which came with Minecraft.
And I've been hooked ever since.
And I love that it's a game that you can pick up anytime and pickup where you left off. Can be as stressful or chill as you progress.
I'd love to see you have fun figuring out Minecraft, and the community loves to help.
But do your research on the Java or Bedrock versions of Minecraft to figure out the differences, and how you'd like to play.
Both have their strengths and weaknesses.
And if you do play, and you're not sure, I've seen some youtubers make like 1 episode every 1-3 months.
But just have fun with it!

With regards to playing with different profiles and different devices: There are currently two main versions of Minecraft. The original version is currently sold under the name Minecraft Java Edition, which is for PC. The engine isn't as well optimised, but most new feature updates are coded for it first, it has a larger modding community, and isn't really monetised beyond the initial purchase price. The other one is just Minecraft, but it is the version for pretty much everything else: Windows 10 edition, Xbox, Playstation, Switch, and Mobile. These are all built on a newer, more optimised "Bedrock" engine, and can be played using the same profile on any similar version, even between console platforms. So you can absolutely have a world running which has players from Xbox, Switch, Mobile, and PC all playing together. The downside is that Microsoft have monetised it a little more heavily. Mostly a marketplace where you can buy skin customisations or pre-built adventure worlds.

I remember when I moved when I was young. I changed schools and didn't know anyone. And, of course, there were groups at school. The coolest guys hung out with the 6th grade seniors. They were real goons. They smoked cigarettes, they could get marijuana, they had drunken parties every week or two.
My brain exploded when I heard them discussing something lively in the backseat of the bus one day. They were talking about minecraft. Not about whether it's a good game or not. They discussed what they would do on their server and how they would spread the cost of funding it.
The world in minecraft is not big. It is almost endless. Worlds are procedurally generated on the seed. Invisible walls were created to prevent data corruption at extremely large coordinates. This wall is 30,000,000 tiles from the first spawn spot. This means that the world is square with a wall 60 million meters long.
The area of the world in MC is more than 7 times larger than the entire area of our planet.

this video really made me understand the power of trailers. Ive gotten used to them but for an outsider they mustve looked insane if they liked it.
Minecraft was very community driven, still is to some extent, but a lot of the older trailers were made by youtubers like yourself back in the day.
as someone who mostly only got to watch minecraft, i feel like crying and it feels weird being able to grow up in the generation in between new and old. minecraft will forever be part of my childhood, even if i never had much of one.
I will say Dee Bee geek, starting with the trailers is a smart move before playing the game, the game isn't clear on everything and the trailers help make things more understandable (to some degree)
