    What's amazing is that multi finish product that goes on the wall and back off onto the hawk then back onto the wall over and over without drying out! The surface is super pourus so usually dries it out instantly! Good stuff 👌

    I've seen people lay tape with the inside corner trowel, but it it seems easier to fill and feather with a knife, then use the trowel to finish. Touch up with the knife if necessary (just observing), and move on.
    I've laid tape and did everything with the corner trowel but its messy and cumbersome (was my first time but got good results). Nice to just observe how other people approach it. It doesn't really matter how it goes on, just how it comes off.
    Just some thoughts from and American DIYer. This was satisfying to watch.

    Question? Why did you leave a gap on the corner by the sealing?

  • @endoalley680
    @endoalley680 4 года назад +5

    Why not ditch the butterfly trowel and use an angle head to wipe the mud down over the tape? Or a flusher? Maybe cut a pole down short for hand work if you like getting up close. You can apply the angle mud with a 3" corner roller. Less effing around and a whole lot faster. Of course a proper angle box or mud applicator with an angle head is better still.

    Which brand of mud tools did he say leaves smooth, feathered edges on the internals.

    Is it faster to apply the mud with a corner trowel and smooth with a corner trowel vs applying it with a knife then smoothing it with a corner trowel? I saw this one guy who said he never sees anybody applying the mud with a corner trowel on these videos but said that was the other half of the corner trowel that nobody seems to know or use. You have to use it in tandem with a hawk because you cant dip a corner trowel in a mud pan. He was the only guy i ever saw do it but could do a inside corners really really fast.

    Are you using adding yellow dye to spackle ? That is nice so you can easily tell if it was second coated. Would like to know what use.

      Hello! I use chalk for chalk lines to color my drywall mud. You can buy a big container of chalk for like less that $5. Just add a generous amount to a bucket, mix, and you’ll be good to go!

    Ive noticed that a lot of guys over tgere in australia leave a huge gap between the ceiling and walls. Is tgere a reason for that? We always do the ceiling first here in the states and then push the walls up to meet the ceiling with a half inch gap on the floor for expansion/ concraction. I also notices that yall use very few screws and glue the sheets to the frame. Buulding code wouldnt allow us to get away with that where im at. We can use adhesive but they cant see behind the sheet so we have a minimum allowed number of screws to pass here. Only time we use glue is usually for sound proofing purposes. Either way, looks good. Cheers from the states
