Love the thrift with me videos! My best thrift was at a church garage sale, where a very tired looking Dad was selling an original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Party Wagon - complete with all the action figures - for EIGHT DOLLARS. I screamed internally, paid the gentlemen, and then ran to my car cackling like a witch. His adult offspring are probably so mad at him now lol he had no idea what he was selling!
I love to hear these!!!! Nothing better than a true secret treasure score. It wasn’t a thrift store, but I found a midcentury coffee table (with furniture stamp) in the dumpster of my first apartment. At the time I didn’t know what it was, but I’ve had it ever since and so glad. Maybe I’ll refinish it for an episode sometime.
I find it amazing that you see shirts or other kinds of clothing and imagine it as a pillow or whatever 😳 beyond me! I don't have eyes like that. My favorite thrift store find was a handmade vase which looked like a swan but I dropped it on the way home so maybe I am idealizing it 😅
Oh nooooooo! 😂😭 My heart breaks for that. I would feel the same way! I have some little brass swans that I like a lot.
I've literally thought of this idea all along but too chicken to sew anything. However, I'm going for it. I I also have this hideous ottoman my kids won't let me get rid of that is dying for a cover. My fave thrift find was an authentic Stickley lamp I purchased for $10 at a church yard sale from a kid. I didn't know what a treasure it was til later.
Do it! Do it! I bet you could find a great curtain for the ottoman especially. And wow. I love to hear these stories. (I also just googled what a Stickley was, and now I know!)

Many a pair of flowy patterned trouser legs have been amputated and transformed into cushion covers/trim to hide frayed rug edges in my hoose!
I'm amazed that you were able to resist such a romantic suggestion from that fine gentleman 🤔🙄 but just to help a nice fella out I would've shouted out his request to all the other shoppers to see if any one else was willing to oblige 🤷♀️😂

I need the pink flamingo placemats 🥺 I found this printed heavier material for curtains and I didn’t want to pay $11 for it. The cashier told me to come back on Wednesday and if it has a blue tag on it I would get it cheaper. I went back on Wednesday and the material was still there and had the blue tag on it. With the blue tag and the extra money they took off for my senior discount I paid $1 for a 21 foot piece of material 😂 This was the deal of the year for me 💯🌟💜🌟💯

My best score at a thrift store was a pair of shiny, patent leather tap shoes IN MY SIZE! They were just sitting there, they’d clearly been worn exactly once (if ever) and never used again; I bought them and have used them so many times since. 🥰
As a dancer myself, that makes me SO happy. And patent leather! The thrift gods wanted you to dance your heart out.
I just need the pillow cases. My eyes lit up when you showed the dark purple scarf, so I am definitely looking for one of those.
Best thrift find: coffee mug that was marked on the bottom and looked quite high quality. It was 50% off that day so got it for $2. Looked up the marking when I got home, and it was a company owned by a couple in NM who handcraft ceramics, and while my particular design wasn't on there, the mugs on there were priced at $90-$120.

Best thrift find.... a 1940's gentleman's overcoat on a trip to Amsterdam back when oversized coats were très chic monsieur for ladies (likely before you were born 😬)

We cannot allow crazy men to keep us from thrifting!!! There’s a guy in my city that I run into frequently at the grocery, thrift, convenient store and he uses the same pick up line every time. I just stop him when he approaches with ‘Yeah, already heard it!’ Why won’t the let us shop in peace ☮️

One of my favorite finds at the thrift store was during the pandemic, my daughter wanted to have a tea party at the park so we went and got all different tea cups and trinkets and the picnic blanket, went to the park and she had a badass birthday picnic with her friends. Super cheap, super cute!!
Agh! Sorry I didn’t show that. I just centered the button part and cut/stitched a square around it so that I knew the buttons would be in the middle. But I love love love love love love that tea party idea!!😭😭😭 I have some heirloom tea cups that I wanted to throw a tea party for. Maybe today is the day!
Okay first off yuck on creeper guy, ugh!.. I don't know why I have never thought of using shirts for pillows! Love how you left the button part of shirt on orange pillow. All of them are so awesome. Most amazing thrift I found was a Zara dress with the sales tag still on it, brown corduroy bell bottoms, and costume jewelry.

My favorite thrift store find is a rattan end table that I got at Savers in Glendale, Arizona. Makes my apartment feel very Tales of the City!

A few years back, I was shopping in our local hospital auxiliary thrift shop for Christmas gifts (yep, that’s me). They have one round rack that is right by the registers, just in the window at the front of the store. It only ever features “high end” clothing from designers and boutique “beugie” clothes. Not only did I find a petite green blazer exactly my MIL’s size and taste, it was certified as never worn and still had the original price tag on it: $220 bucks, retail. I got it for $10. My MIL adores it and will never know where it came from. 😉
🤫 I love it. Although I do wish it weren’t so stigmatized. Because if you gift someone an antique object, it’s second-hand but “glamorous.” Haha.

You want to get to know us... okay... I have a kid who's too little to be vaccinated so I basically don't go anywhere to protect him. I haven't been in a store in maybe 6 months so I loved the thrift store part of the video. You could do a sub-series on thrift store visits and I would watch it. I am slowly losing my mind and I look forward to your videos because they are such a breath of fresh air.

Oh wow, I used to thrift shop at St. Vincent's since High School (back in the day)...but these last few years, I've just donated. It's long over due since I've shopped there. It would amazing if I can find an apothecary cabinet❤🥰😍

Best score at a thrift store: pair of skis, ski boots, and poles all for $10 when I was in college at a school that had a ski hill
Yesss! When I was 10, I found a pair of pointe shoes at a garage sale, and it made my LIFE.
Coolest thing I ever found in a thrift store was a set of Laurel and Hardy wine decanters that double as musical spinning figures.
I've never had Starbucks so I have no idea what my favorite drink would be. I'm not a coffee drinker, so maybe hot cocoa with whole milk
