Pipe Cleaner Curls for Locs! How to prep & curl using pipe cleaners!

- I hope you all enjoy this quick breakdown of how I installed pipe cleaners and curled my locs with them. (Excuse the few seconds of no sound in the beginning. Chile idk why that happened lol) I did forget to mention that I did air dry my locs (no dryer) and kept them in for 48 hours before taking them out :)

I couldn’t hear it was well as the other videos so I had to turn my volume all the way up but I can’t wait to do these when my hair gets longer.
I notice the volume difference too! You can do them now if you have some length, your curls will just be super tight. Can’t wait for you to try, It’s such a bomb look! 🤍
@@Prettylocd yea I tried it before but they shrinked and made it look like I had a faux hawk or a short loc haircut since I do have shaved sides. I was expecting them to shrink but not that much.

Can you do this style without wetting it?
You can absolutely apply the pipe cleaners whenever you want but if you are looking to achieve any type of curl, your locs do have to be damped or wet initially of some sort. Otherwise, you will get some type of outcome but not a defined curl and it won't last. Keep in mind, your locs don't have to be soaking wet from the roots, just the loc itself. I hope this helps!

What size and length and how many
oh and how long did you leave them in?? im trying to see I can do my hair on my 2 days off before I return to work on Saturday
Always on wet hair. The wetter, the better lol and I left mind in for 2 days before taking out. Depends on how wet your hair is too. If it’s soaking wet leave in for 2 days but also hit it with a hand held dryer for about 30 minutes also.
