True testament to how crappy Android Auto is when you’d rather use the Volvo navigation lol. Thanks for spending over a minute on explaining how to fast forward an .mp3. We totally needed that. This video didn’t need to be 16 mins lol
If you come too close to an object while manouvring, the screen automaticly shows the parking sensors. Is it possible to set it up so the 360 camera's show up instead of those parking sensors?
'In depth' may be valid here in respect to what the average consumer needs to know. What I like to learn is where are the camera's located, how are they wired and connected to the census system, and how these images are getting processed, the 360 degree view requires tricky image mapping and likely some calibration too. As these camera's, wires, or the census system may need servicing one day, in case of any defect. So, this information must be available somewhere. Is there any service manual available ?
There are four cameras. 1- front center in the grill, 2,3 under each side mirror, 4 rear hatch or trunk (also serves as the backup camera). ruclips.net/video/RQo6n3bgaP4/видео.html I don't have any first hand experience with the wires or software. Maybe a technician's channel might go into that. Image stitching software is very common. Most phones have the capability to stitch together a 360 image by moving the camera around and collecting images.
Is there a way to use the built-in apps like Pandora and Spotify without buying a separate cellular plan? I've made a hotspot on my phone and connected it that way, but that's a big hassle. I can use the same apps in Apple Car Play, but I'd rather use the built-in ones. Thanks for the video. Just bought an xc90 and figuring things out.
@@teeth-man Thank you! I have just started using my own Wi-Fi hotspot instead. It Beats having to have a separate Sim card and is relatively painless to set up each time.
@@tikishark1 If you ever consider using a sim, I've heard of people using Google Fi for their cars. 70 a month for unlimited. I haven't looked into other cell plans but that's the one I've heard of people using. Good you figured things out! Cheers!
I still dont understand how the camera is above the vehicle. Satelite? Edit: Oh wait, I'm guessing it collects the images from all on board cameras and puts them together to give you a Theoretical 360 skycam
I have just purchased a 2019 MY20 s60.. I must say the sensus system is a little buggy & also it has an annoying feature that varies audio volume according to speed.. I am very annoyed with this as you cannot switch this dumb useless feature off due to latest software update.. I hate this feature & I'm sure others would agree!. I hope they will bring out another update to return the sound compensation feature on/off button back.. I hope they will be able to switch this system to Android.. It would be a much better user experience thats for sure!
This system is a piece of crap. I’ve a 2020 XC60 and this is the most distracting system of any car I’ve ever owned. To top it off, the entire system just stopped working.

Great presentation. Much more that the sales rep explained!

How do you add a favourite to the navigation system?
So how you get the graphics on the left hand side? My 2 week old XC60 only has the text but not the graphics. Not the best user interface.
Can’t find Spotify app download option on my 2019 MY XC90. How do I go about it? Thanks.
Very clear and helpful video. Thanks.
Thx didn’t know I can change cams thought it was only 360 and didn’t know how to use park in properly.

You will need a sim card for the connection to work.

Really nice.
You showed me way much already know.
I drove the V60 twice for testing...maybe I will by one in one or two years.
Great car by Volvo, love the 360 birds eye view camera!

Elon Musk has left the chat
Yea Tesla doesn’t even have 360 degree parking which baffles me cause they have all those cameras on the car

Design looks a bit old, no?
