I wish we have that kind of system in my own country and of course all over the world. we can save a lot of water and we can save the future of the next generation.
It's a nasty business for the team, somehow, they managed to do it well, so the country can keep going without filth. 😉😉Be grateful to these unsung hero living among us, they not only did their job , they done it well so you can live comfortably without stinky smell from your sewages.
👏👏👏👏👏 beautiful and very interesting presentation! Kept me amused from start to end!!!! Maybe you can come up with "How Singapore dispose of food waste?" Also, "how does Singapore control business & industrial waste? " Does your school system include waste segregation as part of the educational program?
Just watched a documentary in rural America where they had a problem with pig poop water. They don't have any good way to dispose of it, and it's causing environmental problems. They could in theory build a whole sewage system, but it seems that it isn't profitable to build and run yet, so the problem is still there. I'm imagining that they might be able to just truck it to a treatment plant and process it into fertiliser and natural gas, but then the people working there would probably be on less than minimum wage for awhile due to business not taking off yet. Also makes me realise how Singapore is literally carried by our previous generations who settled these problems for us, and maybe in the future we would have to do the same. Cause like the example in the previous paragrah, the first solution to a new problem will be really unprofitable and the people working to solve the problem will be paid really little until they find a good solution.
Every one that has been through field camp in NS knows to appreciate toilets in Singapore. Digging a hole to poop in and then burying your own poop in the middle of a jungle while mosquitoes attack you, makes you appreciate toilets for the rest of your life.

Singapore has achieved so much but it must be careful Not to get complacent like what has happened to all Western countries.
it's such a small country that's why but nevertheless, great job to the gov and pub!
