He misunderstood the 3rd Noble Truth. The detachment is the detachment of our 'ego self' which in reality does not exist. All the phenomenas in the universe including ourselves, emotions, thought, perceptions does not have the independent existence. They exist due to the interdependent of all the causes and conditions. Thus, it is our illusion that the 'self' exist and our attachment to this 'ego self' is the cause of our suffering. To understand this insight, mindfulness meditation and calm abiding meditation will reveal this reality. Detachment is a natural and effortless with this spiritual cultivation. Compassion is selfless, so Buddhists will save and help if someone is falling into a pit, with unconditional love, pure compassion motivation without expectation. The purpose of spiritual cultivation is to teach love, but not to distort other tradition, in which it reflects the negative side of you with this ulterior motive.

People will alleviate a dog suffering from worms..but will not hurt with and for the person suffering from.tbe worms of sins and death? Love and empathy is the answer. Jesus is perfect love. Perfect love casts out all fear.

I guess you missed the teachings on compassion when you skimmed through Buddhism 101?
Maybe worth checking out "bodhisattva vows".

@@augustine.c8204 I don't misunderstand. I know the Gospel Coalition; for Christians, they attempt to shape Christianity toward more Reformed principles; for non-believers, (like me) they attempt to offer compelling reasons for Christianity's truth claims. They are not simply offering information about Buddhist longings; they are trying to show the error of Buddhism and how those longings should find their source and comfort in Christ. I was a Reformed Christian; you can't bullshit me.

Buddhism is the true religion. This world is decaying and all you have to do to be saved in the next life is to praise the name of Amitabha Buddha, the Buddha of infinite light and life. You will be reborn in his land, where you can hear the holy Dharma and reach true salvation.

I am a bhuddist that was a Christian misinary, frist of all Jesus was a bhuddist monk named Issa ...if you had studied long and hard enough you would have found out he became bhuddist during those missing years the kj1611 can not account for ...his name was Issa .
Just Google Jesus was a bhuddist monk on RUclips...
We can debate if Jesus really had anything to do with christanity or was it Paul who twisted bhuddisam and added a god head ...Jesus never walked with Paul , he only blinded him and ran from him....Jesus was one of 5 who started mahiana bhuddisam, he did not start Christianity, Paul Evan fooled peter..
I am here if you have any questions that need answering...
