Hello Sheila, hello George..the💥 funk 💥is in your house....🔊🔊🔊 the Mothership is on the way! 🛸
I have been a fan of the Funk since I was a kid...my late uncle -RIP- introduced me to the funk...
I remember George Duke
" The Dookie Stick " featuring the one and only 💘SHEILA E. 💓...
As a kid I listened to Mothership Connection., Bootsy Collins...the list goes on
I wish that I could find my airbrushed hoodie with the Mothership Connection Photo front & back 😉
I think my favorite album was Gloryhallistoopid...🤘
I'm right here in Charlotte NC...close to the home of G.C....
This was amazing. Thank you Ms. E. and Mr. Clinton.
Great surprise interview! I'm so blessed by the funk! I've seen the Mothership land and ALL P-Funk concerts that came to D.C., Bootsy, Prince & Sheila and George Duke!! Funkateer and Rubber Fan 4 Life!!
Awesomeness flows through Sheila E like sands through an hour glass
It is thoughtful how Sheila E. TV is showcasing African-American musical legends and rising prodigies during such a important African-American history-making time. Kudos for highlighting and celebrating people of color. ✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽✊🏼
If it isn't apparent by now, Sheila E. is selfless, noble and gracious. In this episode, George Clinton even pointed out that "purple one" would regularly (maybe even covertly) commandeer Sheila's band members and take advantage of her endless musical connections. 😳
In any case, this is a testament to Sheila's gift of musical discernment and her major supportive contributions. George also complimented Sheila on how her on-stage style during her time at Paisley was on point. He basically said that Sheila was the only one that accomplished and surpassed the look they were going for by adding her own personal swag. I would agree with you, Sir George Clinton. 🎯
Sheila E. is the G. O. A. T. and an exemplary talk show host as well.
Finally, to Ia's funny "Not even close!" 😂 at the end, I say Sheila was...not even trying to hit that 3-pointer. Everbody know she got skills. 😉🏀❤👍🏾
100% Agree!
"In this episode, George Clinton even pointed out that "purple one" would regularly (maybe even covertly) commandeer Sheila's band members and take advantage of her endless musical connections."- 100% agree. Nice interview. I really like their discussions on the music, style, etc...
This is awesome. I was there in Oakland at the concert when the mothership landed. It was WILD! So glad to have that experience. I tell everyone about it and they can't even imagine it but I saw it with my two eyes. Awesome. Thank you for sharing this interview.
I was young just being introduced to real funk. My older brother went to see the Mothership land. If memory serves me it was at the Providence Civic Center in 1977. P-Funk earth tour. I still remember sitting around my ooder brother and his friends as they continuously talked about that tour. It was deep man, a cultural movement.
Great interview Sheila. I like his thoughts on George Duke and your P-Funk introduction.
Parliament, Funkadelic, Boosty's Rubber band, the brides, parlet, horny horns, Eddie, Bernie, Mutiny, Fuzzy, Quazar, listen to all that 👍🏼Fly on
Absolutely both are geniuses, loved by all races! You guys look amazing!

Sooooo THIS was amazing! I never got to go to a Parliament/Funkadelic concert but I use to wear the grooves out of their records! And to hear George Clinton created More Bounce to the Ounce?!?!? It makes total sense to me 👍🏽👏🏽👍🏽👏🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽😊
Lookup Zapp and Roger Troutman for More bounce to the ounce. Part of the funk family

I just want to testify, My first Funkadelic concert was at a small venue in Newark NJ called the Continental Ball Room in the 70’s and I’ve been funky ever since. A joyful process indeed!

BOOTSY, and now CLINTON! Thank you Sheila. These performer's live, along with yourself and Prince were the pinnacle of music. I miss those impromptu shows at Paisley, and riding my motorcycle to Lake Ann Park. New subscriber... 😎
Uncle George blessing us with that Cedric The Entertainer look and vibe. Chuuch.
Sheila this was awesome. Thank you for getting this on video and sharing with all of us who grew up with this master of funk. What an incredible era of music. I wish today’s artists would just pay attention and find it within themselves to stand on the shoulders of these titans and pick up the torch and move the needle forward. We’ve been idle for too long. Thanks again Sheila!
Love this!!! Thank you both for sharing this history.
Sheila - Prince would be so proud of you for doing this channel.
Sheila you are still fine as hell, I saw you the first time you came to Richmond, VA at the Cell-a-door. We all were crushing on you then and now. Thank you for sharing your creativity and Godly gifts! Much Love to you!
I love you. I told Alicia and Eva, that before you all becsme Queens, Shiela was already Queen, I fell in love with her when she was with George Duke. And Prince took care of her, respect on another level. Hey.....
To the "Still Beautiful" Miss Sheila E......
The concert you were speaking of at the Oakland Coliseum, it was at the beginning of the year in 1977. 💯
My friends and I were there. 😎😎😎
Parliament Funkadelic & Class of 1980 🎶
Great Excellent job Sheila Love You George Thank You For Everything
Respect ✌🏿
I can truly say you can sit there and your high heels and say yes I am funky thanks Uncle George!!! I love my sheila
Wow! That was my first concert in my life. My friend and I were minors so we begged my friend's cousin to take us. I still talk about that concert to this day. I am close friends with a previous group member Shady Grady. George Duke is one of my favorite artist of all times. Girl, I love your outfit!!
I always wondered how he reacted to George Duke's Reach For It, since almost everybody thought Bootsy was on a George Duke record.
He was just being polite out of respect for Sheila who was a part of George Dukes band. But if you have the last few Funkadelic album's you'll know exactly how he really felt about that. Like all other aspects of what made real hip hop great including it's existence George Clinton was the first to directly call you out on style jacking or beat bitting. Also Parliament's Colour Me Funky song is the come back answer to the Mutiny album his former drummer put out trying to diss George Clinton on the black and white colored album sleeve and the song Lump. Everything modern musically started in the 70's mostly thanks to George Clinton and the PFUNK
@@021881mt I stand corrected. He did challenge everybody; like Smufus, Fool & The Gang , and the Godmother/Grandfather. Excellent point.
@@MrBigbonededness1 if you have the One Nation Under A Groove vinyl album check for the "Doo Doo Awards" I won't repeat what it says here out of respect for Sheila but it's another "Let's Take It To The Stage" diss list, and it's funny
That was a great interview! I remember growing up listening to some of George Clinton’s music 🎶
It's an Honor to talk to him. Great video. 😊
This was awesome Sheilia E thank you!💜💜💜
#OneNation nothing to stop us now let's go innovation!!!
I had the luxury of seeing Parliament, Bootsy and the Mothership connection concert in Cincinnati Ohio. Good times
Wow... until this video, I thought that was Bootsy on the bass also vocal on "Dukie Stick"!
Fantastic interview, thank you so much Ms. E.
And I'd love to have that jersey GC is wearing.
I was a child in the seventies, reaching my teens in the early eighties. I grew up listening to these songs on the radio and at the skating rink with my family. I really enjoy hearing the original artists discussing their music and the meanings to their songs. Thank you Ms. Sheila. I just discovered your channel tonight surfing You Tube. I’ve subscribed and will be tuning in frequently. All of this good music takes me back to better times...when I did not have to pay bills. All I had to do was clean my room , feed my dog, wash dishes when it was my turn...ahhhh...those were the days....oh well. Back to reality... I have to go to work in the morning so perhaps I should get some shuteye. 😴💤
Fabulous editing....👑💃💋

Uncle George and Beautiful Sweet potatoes.🔥🔥
two of my favorite singers Shelia E and George Duke may God keep blessing both of them thankyou for the music you make
Oh oh correction AVTPro. In actuality the first Captain of Afrofuturism is Sun Ra. Cosmo Drama at its best-even landing a music ran cigar shaped spaceship in his movie Space Is The Place. Then You had the cosmic pass of the Paton to George as it is appropriate with Sun Ra being one of George’’s. I still get a chill thinking about how close we came to having The PFunk Allstars playing together in concert as a tribute to Sun Ra. We can s
Playing together with The Sun Ra Arkestra as a tribute to Sun Ra when he returned to Saturn. We can still can still do it George. Great show to come out of retire with as You lead the Cosmic Experience with the still playing his ass off 97 years young Marshall Allen!!!
Damn. George Clinton was almost like a GOD to me...Almost. I am 60 and I grew up in the 60's and 70's. Black artists were trying too hard to look white and that bothered me because where I lived, black people didn't look or act like that. Thankfully, in my teenage years, George Clinton and Parliament/Funkadelic, Bootsie, The Brides of Funkenstein, and others came along and I was finally able to relate to some real shit, not that watered-down shit that made white people comfortable. Nappy hair, afro-puffs, big lips and straight-up funkiness was what I needed to get through life. THANK YOU WITH ALL OF MY HEART GEORGE CLINTON. In my book, you are STILL the man! And James Brown too...Thank God. Sheila. Just like every other straight man, I adored you. You represented the woman I could NEVER have, but I could fantasize.
Outstanding!!!
This was such a wonderful interview! Didn’t want it to end.
Now I'm going to BLAST 💥
MAGG🤯T HEAD❗❗❗
✨ #thevelvetloungelife ✨
See how fast this life is, we’re already in the waiting room for the next one...

Much Gratitude.
Awesome!! I don't know him unless I hear him sing or talk without the hair! Love George Clinton!! He looks awesome!! My brother went to the show, Swim Under Water and Not Get wet, I think it was called, back in the 70's and I wanted to go so bad but he didn't ask me to go!! I was probably too young!! Awesome interview!!
