Come to think of it, Klymaxx was the first and only black girl band that had multiple hit singles...I don't think there has ever been another all black female band since that time. Love that early song they did called ''Heartbreaker'' 1981 or 1982 that is simply a masterpiece.

Some of my favorite Prince performances are of Sheila E playing for him.
I met Sheila E. at the roosevelt hotel and she was just an amazing human, took a photo and I'm cheesing so hard.

@Dale Painter I say that because as a former DJ in the 80s and 90s, they were not the top songs like others were. As a matter of fact, Erotic City was a B side single from Let's Go Crazy. Even the great Prince underrated how good this song would be.

I was an extra in the movie Crush Groove, and being around my she-ro Sheila E, The Fat Boys, Blair Underwood and all of those other icons has been the highlight of my life 🙏🏽

Her memoir was so good. Who knew that her career stretches all the way back to the 70s with George Duke, Con Funk Shun, and Michael Jackson's "Don't Stop Til You Get Enough"? Sheila was a young girl in a man's industry TEARING it up out in these music streets. She had to smack a couple a dudes back in the day, too, trying to force-shoot their shot because they didn't know she could play and would assume she was just an accessory in the band. I have a feeling Sheila can fight. You see how she kicks the **** out them cymbals- you might get a stiletto to your throat, lol.
