I tuned into Liv this week just because PGA wasn't exciting and I'm a Brooks fan. First time really. I enjoyed their website stream with no commercials.
For 17 years, the Houston Open was held at The Golf Club of Houston (formerly Redstone). For many years prior to '03, the Shell Houston Open was held at the TPC of The Woodlands. This was a licensed TPC, not part of the Tour. The Insperity, on the Champions Tour, was held this weekend. I'm with you on the Byron Nelson. However, I can see where networks, who need content, are going to put the tournament on because they paid so much for TV rights. One more thing, there are probably clubs where the members don't want anything to do with LIV.
Bolingbrook is a decent course but not near a tour course 😂 they are gonna need to add some tee boxes and have those greens running at a 14 to not have the leader -30
The organizations that run the Majors have taken a far more realistic approach to professional golf. They understand that their events are the most pestigious events on the golfing calendar.The Majors have maintained their reputation as the pinnacle for players by ensuring that the best available players are granted exemptions into the tournaments. They should be congratulated for putting the game first instead of pandering to the self interest of the various world tours.
great discussion on LIV, charlie is correct, fines would be stupid and shooting themselfs in the foot, PGA is the weaker product and will continue to be so in the future

PGA tour has blacklist a lot of courses in the States if they host a Liv event.
I have been to 3 PGA tournaments and 1 LIV ,never going to another PGA event.....
I’m a golf junkie and love that there is a pga event almost every week all year
I like the events being on TV but a lot of them should be considered KFT events

It's not that difficult to find out several LIV teams are building courses that even I know off.

Owning major golf courses is not unrealistic. Noboru Watanabe a Japanese Billionaire owns Riviera Golf and Country club

I would be okay with you all not discussing LIV at all. I view them as traitors to the overall good of the game.
