I had one of those on the 70's, and boy, dod I enjoy takong it to it's lomits and the car thanked me for it.

It is a glorious sounding and looking car. That said unless you're a very short Frenchman it is also likely you're not going to even FIT in an old A110.

Legendary car. Is it misfiring at low rpm and idle? Maybe it’s supposed to sound like that, but it seems really apparent under load coming off idle.
Nope just ticking. I'd assume flat tappets and such contribute to some valvetrain chatter
@Tedward Understood. My uncle (former formula Vee racer) just told me “They all sound like that.” Said his Lotus Europa twincam did the same thing. It sure doesn’t sound like it’s misfiring above 2k rpm. Thanks for the video.
Putting 150hp on a 600kg car is crazy
Better than 300hp in a 1200kg car for sure
Latest group IV versions were close to 190hp and you'd get about 8500rpm it of them. There were rare group V versions and even some dual overhead cams and injected engines for some of the official racing cars. I think some got close to 250ps !! You need balls of steel to drive these. And such a pretty car to see dance on a rally stage. They do very well sideways!

The front plate is from the newer French system of registration. (Like French dmv if you prefer.)

Being in Dieppe (France) right now where the new alpines are made iam a bit pissed of at the fact there is no Museum or sth. like that near by...Here is absolutely nothing than the steril factory of building the new Renault alpines. Have this in mind ,its a Shame for me and especially for These Cars
