So good to see you at work on video again Jarf. This is such a great idea to show the old way of making the wax seal stamps. Hope you are well. Love and Hugs, Amy❤

Awww, thank you so much gorgeous Amy for not only the huge honor of your visit but for your kind and heartwarming comments and cheering encouragement. I actually owe you a comment at your channel...so I will make sure that happens shortly. I never thought I would see the day that I would get my video tutorials up and running again. These two wax seal stamps tutorials took me more than a month to organize and edit let alone filming them. And the pocket with envelope flap tutorial took even longer... I have been almost off the grid, oblivious to most things around me, trying to get them done...now I feel i have joined the land of the living again ..for now anyway...lol.... Hope you and your loved ones are well. Thank you so much for your kindness. Take care dear one. Sending you all my warmest hugs and fond affection. Xx

Great idea, the costs always made me not use waxstamps. With this idea I can actually start using that. Just need to buy the clay and wax. Thank you so much

Very clever and you're doing a wonderful job of explaining the process. All of mine are pre-made, this looks like it would be so much fun to make my own. Oh my, heading down another rabbit hole as we tease around here. Love you idea of storing them. Good to have a hubby around to help. Since mine is no longer with us, I've gotten quite good with regular tools. I just got to the part of using an embossing folder. I already had the thought run through my mind, why not red rubber stamps - would they work. I shall continue to watch to see.

Jarf have you ever tried to use the gloss spray for sealing and NOT adding additional paint layers ? If so, does it work? Another question... how about using acrylic paint only, to seal the clay ? I've never worked with the air dry clays ( have worked with polymer clay and others...). This is a great idea - making our own seals :-). I also would suggest - especially for people who don't live in places where the various materials are readily available and / or reasonably affordable ... to remember that almost any surface that is carved and or stamped with a raised design ( from kids toys to wood carvings in old furniture, buttons, etc) CAN be used as a mold by pressing the clay onto it to make an impression!!

Thanks Miranda for your kind comments and thoughts. Regarding your questions. I decided to paint before gloss spray, as a primer, because the clay is so porous. As I mentioned in my tutorial, just using acrylic paint on its own.. could compromise the clay stamp, the sealer adds layers of protection. Yes, I agree, that not everyone has the same resources worldwide...the reason I didn't mention using whatever people have in their homes etc...was because there are other tutorials out there, using buttons etc...so I wanted to share something different, that I haven't seen done on RUclips before, thus the silicone moulds and embossing folders. Thanks again for the input and for watching. Take care.

Thank you for the answers, I missed some of the info while watching... 😝 The embossing folder idea is brilliant! I LOVE your papers, but haven't yet purchased because the exchange rate $1 = R$5.5 makes the kits very expensive from Brazil 😝 (and additional taxes we here have to pay to or credit cards on conversion of one currency to another, are high too). Perhaps you might consider selling a couple of mini-sets for less? Just an idea... Many thanks for all the beauty and expertise you share freely! ❤️

Download them and enjoy. In the playlist for July 2022, there are three sets of kits divided up into 3 videos, there is a combined total of approx.80 printable pages. May you enjoy. Thanks so much! It looks like fun.
BTW, I saw a video recently where two 1 inch sections of regular crayons were melted with a 1" piece of hot glue and used as wax.

Thanks Sandy and for letting me know about what you watched. That is an interesting combo...hot glue and crayons.. in the past I have seen crayons melted, but separately, to using hot glue...thanks for sharing.
