I had to catch my breath!! this piece brought tears to my eyes, as I listened with my eyes closed..there is hope in this crazy world, GOD there is still HOPE!! THANK YOU!🥰🥰🥰
Such beautiful playing of one of my favorite pieces. Congratulations to the young people who played with such emotion and love. It just shows that despite the pandemic and politics there is good in the world, Thank you so much for this special performance.
This is AMAZING!! How all these young musicians were able to sound like they were together in the same room is beyond me. Bravo to Maestro Perlman and these young musicians! I came to this video while watching "Arts Interrupted" on PBS Great Performances! Thank you to so many performing artists all over the world who found such creative ways to bring us their talents throughout the pandemic...it has been the brightest spot through the whole ordeal 💕.
Thank you for sharing such lovely music Mr. Perlman and the wonderfully talented Julliard Orchestra! What a pleasure to be on the receiving end od such a beautiful gift. I’m always blown away by what technology can do. These young people have been blessed with their talent!
Shamefully, hadn't been aware of Mr. Perlman's work as a conductor (His fellow fiddler and friend, Pincas Zukerman, has done it for decades). Happy to see he's seeking new challenges in a distinguished lifetime of music making. I thank him and I'm sure that in this case, Elgar does too.
This past week, I was in the hospital suffering from a panic attack so severe, I thought that I was really having a heart attack. It is "little things" like this that blesses me, calms me and reassures me that things will always get better, even when the hour seems to be at its darkest. Thank you.
I loved, loved, loved this piece! Congratulations to our niece Cameren and all of the outstanding musicians at Julliard!!! Can’t wait to hear you perform live again altogether!!!
Gloriously sublime! Thank you for sharing! I hope you will continue to be well. My mother was an honor graduate in choral conducting and piano from Northwestern University, I had a successful clarinet/sax studio for forty years and sang in the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra Chorus for thirty years including three sold out performances in Carnegie Hall. My sister was awarded a full tuition scholarship to the Eastman School of Music on harp, the harp faculty at the University of Colorado-Denver, first call harpist and played with the Denver Symphony. Her husband had a Doctorate from Northwestern University on cello, retired from the Colorado Symphony Orchestra-Denver after 34yrs and after 25yrs as principal cellist in the Colorado Central City Opera Orchestra. My daughter graduated from UW-MADISON three years ago and sings in the top university chorus. My son started college as an applied physics major, but has now succumbed to the "dark side", his idea and is now a music ed. major. We "get" the music thing......
Music is always a haven. Live performances even more so. But when you see it performed by younger talent and lead by an absolute legend, it takes on an even greater power. I hardly recognized Itzak Perlman but it was great to see him at work. In my mind, more than any other art form has the power to calm and relieve in these times when all reason seems to be leaving the populace. Thank you folks, nice job.
Blessings to all of you.Thank you Mr.Pearlman.Words cannot and should not convey the beauty of our humanity and our journey through these difficult times. We will all be together again soon making music and feeding our souls. This too shall pass.
Thanks so much for sharing the wonderful talents of our young people all over the world! They are our future! It’s going to be so much better, with the help of God and future generations! Hope they have learned from our mistakes. Take care and God bless everyone.🙏🏻🇺🇸🙏🏻🌎🙏🏻🌏🙏🏻💕🎶
Me es difícil estimar cuan afortunado me siento al escuchar esta pieza. Espero que mi muchas gracias llegue a ustedes por su amor , dedicación y cariño que expresan mediante su arte .
Each musician recorded themselves at home, while watching a pre-recorded video of the maestro conducting. It was then all put together in an editing software afterwards.
wow, perfectly fine, but just want to point out that there is a disproportional representation of Asians in music (I'm Asian too lol). I guess Asian parents all send their kids to learn instruments.
Thank you, Maestro, and thank you all!
Thank you very much Maestro Ithzak Perlman 🎻 🌷 Is very beautifu!

“I'm not interested in having an orchestra sound like itself. I want it to sound like the composer.”
― Leonard Bernstein
This is the best grift anyone could give, it matches the state we are in.

How beautiful that technology allows for this to happen.
How is it done? Can anyone share the detsils of how a production like this created or put together?
Each musician recorded themselves at home, while watching a pre-recorded video of the maestro conducting. It was then all put together in an editing software afterwards.
