Why is Edward still on formula?
Don't ever feel guilty about putting Edward in the big play pen to keep him contained. Safety is the goal. It's exhausting trying to tend to one while the other is getting into everything. A mother's brain is in high anxiety mode when a toddler who doesn't understand what is dangerous and what isn't is running around and out of sight. A suggestion about bath time is bathe Edward as soon as the baby goes down for a nap and bathe the baby as soon as Edward goes down for a nap. It won't be long and you will be able to bathe them together and they will nap at the same time. Easier days are coming! Nave, you are a Great Mom!!
Loved seeing Cooper being a great uncle to the boys.
Won’t be too long and Coop will have them out on a four wheeler and snowmobiles!
Watching this, I’m convinced the most important job for a mother is raising a child. No amount of money would supersede the job of raising your child. You are a wonderful mother and Cole is a wonderful father. Hats off to you both!
You are absolutely right! You can never get back the time you DON'T spend with your babies. I was so very lucky that my husband made it possible for me to stay home and raise our wonderful son, it would have killed me to have to work outside the home. I realize some can't stop working and their kids do fine. Oh though, the FUN we had when our son was little was worth every sacrifice we made, I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
I totaly agree I had my first 2 close together then it turnded in to home-schooling all 3 mum life 24 7 the past 16 years..teenagers are the hardest stage yet.
My Mum had all four of us in a record three years and 10 months, while working full time with a maternity leave of only 2 months. I hated every day she had to leave us to go to work, but it was necessary because times were really hard and my Dad's pay was quite low. I feel that I missed my Mum growing up, but I now understand how dire the situation was. I myself would love to stay home with my littles, God willing.
That's great that you can turn Cole on the TV to help with the boys while he builds the families future home! How great

Holy Moly! I watched Cole's renovation videos, thinking 'oh, man, he's got a busy life, poor guy'. Then I watched yours.... Now I'm thinking he's got the easy job😆 Nave, you are doing an amazing job with the boys. It might be good for YOU if you manage to synchronize their nap-time, so that you'll get some Nave-time... I only have 1 child, and he's now 13, so it's been a while since I was in your position lol. I love that you're so understanding about why kids throw things and touch things and how they learn about the world around them. It's so refreshing to see someone look at being a toddler with the rationale of a toddler. Hugs to all, stay sane, and as long as the boys are thriving and learning, who cares how long you're in your PJs!

Nave, you have a beautiful family. I have 2 girls aged 16 and 12 and I remember it was hard when both kids need you. You just have to be patient and keep in mind that this stage of life doesn't last forever. You are a great mom. I remember the days of taking care of two very close in age, and most of the day being home alone while my dear husband was working. We had no close family. All the illnesses, all the playing, all the diapers, the milestones, the bullies, the play dates, the family time-it stays with you forever. I miss those days, even though they were hard. Being a parent is hard-keep doing your best! :-)
I completely understand being over stimulated! I had my first two 21 months apart and then 2 1/2 yrs later I had my next two kiddos 21 months apart. And it’s easy to get ‘touched out’ too! You got this!!
We have 6 kids under 9 and our first 3 kids were born within 2 1/2 years of each other. I know the feeling of distress when babies and toddlers are crying all at once and the daily work it is to make sure all of their needs are met continuously.

"Surrender" and "It's only a phase" were the words we lived by when raising kids. i was alone most with them while dad was away on locations...relief was minimal, but the years really do go by quickly. your attitude is right on. they are learning and exploring. it didn't matter if i got dressed. i would just kick toys aside for a path, and within just a few short years they were old enough to pick up and help me. my kids are adults now and i couldn't be more proud of how they turned out

Nave (& Cole)- You need to have about 4 more babies. They grow up quick, as soon as they get big enough they will want to be with Dad and Grandpa in the fields and children are so much fun. I love the fact that you don't rely on the grandparents to help out. My cousins take advantage of my aunt so much that it infuriates me. You're doing such a great job and it'll be even better when you're in your own place after Cole makes it a fantastic place to live.
You are doing great Nave! My family is grown now, but the hardest part for me, in the beginning, was finding "me" time. My days seemed so long at times, but I knew I was blessed to be able to be a stay at home mom and never regretted all of that bonding time. Now, looking back, it went by SO fast!

I do think Edward looks like DC. I think Ezekiel does a little. But I know they probably also look like other family. Everyone thinks my daughter looks like me until they see her Dad and she looks way more like her Dad. She just has my hair.

I enjoyed watching video of your little ones. Brought back memories of my two oldest children being born less than a year apart in 1964 and 1965. I know what my wife went through keeping up with them and I remember many nights having one in each arm in rocking chair and all three of us going to sleep. But I wouldn't trade it for anything. Wow! That was quite a day! I'll bet you get exhausted. But so worth it with two darling little boys. Edward needs a "busy board." A piece of plywood with slide bolts, padlocks, old keys, a length of chain, etc. attached. It'll keep him busy for a while. Look them up online and have Cole or Grandpa Cornstar make one in their "spare" time.😊

Hi Nave, you have a beautiful family and I know how busy it is with 2 under 2! Just a gentle bit of info for you from me as a dental hygienist. If you put Edward to bed with a bottle it should be only water. Milk contains natural sugar called lactose that can cause decay in his teeth because the milk pools around the teeth and mixes with the natural bacteria in the mouth and causes decay eventually. Your dentist is a good source of info too! Blessings to you😊
