I have a camera with a reset button and followed your instructions. However I do not have a windows computer and when I view the cameras through the nvr this one has a red X under status. When I hover the cursor over it I get the following error message....The network is unreachable. Can you provide some guidance please. It is a new replaced NVR and I had the password for the other 7 cameras but not this one. All others are functioning properly. Thanks
Hi Richie, if you go onto that screen with the camera status, click on the edit icon for this camera, and make sure that adding method is set to plug and play. Let me know how you get on
Hi Jean Paul, if your camera does not have a reset button, you will need to use sadp tool to extract a reset file from the camera, you’ll then need to email HikVision with this file who will then send you one back, which you’ll upload to the camera and from there you can reset the password.
Also, have you completely opened up the camera itself, and checked all of the pcb boards? There is normally a tiny black button on the pcb board if you don’t have a reset sd slot like on this video. If you can reply to the above then we’ll move forward from there. Thanks

Have you managed to remove the cameras cover and look for a small black reset button and try the reset button reset process. If there is no button you will need to extract a xml file and send to HikVision for reset
