Definitely get a Dremal Tool. Even a cheap battery powered one. They make things soooo much easier for cutting, trimming and just smoothing things down.
I had the same issue with the contrast wheel, it even fell apart from the PCB when It arrived. I tried to solder it back and sanded down the wheel itself. The result came very well, I can screw the shell stiffly with a perfect working contrast wheel.
Fun to watch. Got me interested in doing one of these. One thing I didn’t understand was why you didn’t put the glass screen protector on right away. After you remove the protective film and assemble the front half I would have thought you would want to get that glass on ASAP to avoid any dust or fingerprints? Looking forward to your next one. 😊
Thanks dude 👍 I do it last because if I have to make adjustments etc it's just easier not to have to worry about dust on the back side of the lens in the process. I do a quick canned air blow of the screen then pop that lens on at the end and be done. Sadly that entire portion of the process didn't record. 😑
Cool enjoyable video. Gave me a few ideas and suggestions. Never had seen that Tail'Gaiter game before, gotta check that out.
