I just did leaves and curls on a little table topper! It looked pretty good for my first time. Practice makes perfect well almost perfect. Thanks for the lessons!!
Hey Melissa! Here's the link to my online classes. Several different options for you to choose between! 😊 www.whirlsnswirlsquilting.ca/collections/traceys-classes-workshops
Thank you ! Found you last week loving everything that you teach. I just finished a quilt to hang in a Quilt shop for the next year as a sample for a block of the month of 2022, I wish I had seen this before doing what I had done on the 6-inch border. I would have done this in a heartbeat. Next time for sure. love the curls with the little leaf.
I sure wish I saw this beforehand. My border on my first quilt. I used chalk. No more. I have a artist drawing book with the spiral wire. I sit on the couch at night an doodle. No way I can turn it. Great practice
This is so gorgeous! Definitely using this on a quilt I am making now with lots of roses. Rose quilting designs on top of the rose prints would be a bit much. Need other elements in the mix. It is a banded card trick with an alternate square on top of four squares and has a four inch border. Think this could be used allover. Like the the curl and petal in the narrow border below too. Might use that in my four inch border. Really like how you explain and show up close exactly what you are doing. Thank you so much for this, am subscribing!
I love your style of quilting..I’ve tried to use pantos ( with your great inspiration) lol, but my style is like yours…organic. I just need to practice more
So mesmerising to watch! Thank you for this tutorial. Can you please tell me what the marking pencil is that you used? I am also interested to see how you fixed the 2 little mishaps please.
Always when I am advancing rows in a pantograph or if I'm just scootching forward or back and I don't want to break the thread for a small adjustment. Be careful though. You need to be cautious when advancing or receding with the needle down. ;)
I love your quilting designs. Thank you so much for sharing with us. I’ve had my sit down for 4 years now and am looking to buy my longarm soon. Which APQS do you use and do you quilt with 1 hand or 2?
I see where you are weaving new threads at start of stitching, I assume that is a knotting process. Can you show that slowly or more in depth, so I can see exactly what you are doing so I can copy it.
Thank you so much for showing us the free-motion way of quilting. I tend to do things like this throughout most of my quilts!
Thank you for your videos. They are so helpful 💕
Beautiful!!!
Love, love, love this border!!
Thank you!
Love this!!

Woohoo! Go easy on yourself. "Perfect" is over rated. Our freehand work is like our handwriting. Be proud of your quilting. :)

I love it. I'm a beginner quilter and have never done anything like this before but I'm up for a challenge and creativity.

Very nice Karen! That sounds awesome! I'm sure another flimsy will come along just screaming for a leafy curly border design. ;)

Awesome! That's the trick...doodle without turning your paper. ;)
This is a great border design. Thank you so much! I’m about to load a quilt with a 6” border and this will be perfect! Thanks!
Очень красиво! Очень!

Loving this pattern. I do something very similar. I don’t like sewing the spine 1st as it seems to make a lot of extra thread.
I love your style of quilting..I’ve tried to use pantos ( with your great inspiration) lol, but my style is like yours…organic. I just need to practice more
Think of it as play time instead of 'practice'. Play time wi WAY more fun!
@@whirlsnswirlsquilting4362 sounds like a great idea! Thanks :)

Love your video’s . I am new to long arming. Do you leave your needle in the quilt when you advance?

Thanks
Great video! So it’s okay to do the entire border and then go back and do the center blocks? I’m still learning...
No, this was a sample for a class. You want to either do the border as you work down the quilt or do it at the end.
I love your quilting designs. Thank you so much for sharing with us. I’ve had my sit down for 4 years now and am looking to buy my longarm soon. Which APQS do you use and do you quilt with 1 hand or 2?
aww... you got rid of your puking chalk dispenser pen :( Either way such a pretty alternative to feathers!
How wide is that border?
I love it and can’t wait to practice it
what thread wt. do you use to keep from building up and getting messy?
What stitch length do you use in manual mode?
I see where you are weaving new threads at start of stitching, I assume that is a knotting process. Can you show that slowly or more in depth, so I can see exactly what you are doing so I can copy it.
I'll re watch the video so I know what you mean and see what I can do! ;)
I can do the swirls and curls but I can not draw a leave .Oh How I wish I could draw a leaf> Any clue on how
'S' curve out...'S' curve back.. :)
Was there a lesson on paper to go with this video? You said look to your drawings....I feel I missed something and need to know more!
L
Beautiful
Thank you Carla!
