I love how TWICE is included in this list despite being branded their discohraphy by other kpop stans as only cutesy. Their discography is indeed gold but underappreciated.
It's because JYP doesn't promote the bsides well, or put much effort into them, so we only know their title tracks. The bsides act as fill up songs almost. The last album however, there's been some improvement, normally, they make songs just to get no.1 on the charts.
@@yamatonadeshiko567 Lolll no hate I just laughed really hard when you called twice underrated i was like bro what happened to any other group out there I guess everyones underrated now

Stray Kids are literally everything, they can do anything, I love their discography and they are The first group that makes me wanna purchase all albums.
I think this really proves how it’s great to have diversity and duality to not get boring, but having a signature sound and consistency in your discography is also incredibly important
I agree! That's why I love Dreamcatcher, they are recognized because of their strong rock sound but if you listen to all their discography... it has practically everything
The fact that everyone agrees STRAY KIDS should be here is just amazing, no one can deny the diversity they have put out in their music. Considering they wrote and composed 99% of their songs, exploring lots of genres within such short amount of time is crazy. They also introduced psychodelictrance into kpop and have created a new sound called 'mala genre' in the industry. To be a pioneer of a newly created sound within two years of debut is mindblowing!! with that I say, SKZ deserve more recognition and attention, and they truly deserve all the hype they've been getting lately.
I personally enjoy Stray Kids, CLC, Red Velvet and Dreamcatcher's music the most. I would like to include F(x) in this compilation bc just "The Pink Tape" album alone has a variety of sounds😋
I completely agree with this list and I'm so happy Dreamcatcher is getting the recognition they deserve. Personally I really love TXT's discography and I think it's one of the most diverse ones. I mean the Eternity album alone is so diverse and amazing. Even though they don't have that many songs yet I can always expect really unique music from them and I know that they'll only keep getting better with every comeback.
stray kids being a 2,5 years old group but having one of the most diverse discorpahys in the kpop industry is kinda of scary and crazy like bro no ones doing it like 3racha.
stray kids definitely have a lot of diversity in their discography , they are never afraid to experiment and don't fail at it either . also not to forget that they are the first korean artists to create psytrance music and introducing the genre to kpop , only being a year old at that time .
@@camberleysmith6212 psytrance is a sub-genre of trance music that originated in india and it comprises of layered and repetitive melodies that make your brain cells release energy according to the music . side effects and the tortoise and the hare fall under this genre .
ngl i thought txt was gonna be here :( when i decided to stan txt i expected their sound to be more bright and happy. they're debut title was like that but the album had different genres. the tdc series is just a rollercoaster.. the songs are so good yet all different. their lyrics are relatable and amazing too!
Loona and Red Velvet have the best discographies for me. I also would've added Shinee and especially f(x) who are known to be very experimental with their sounds.
I feel like twice is never immediately thought of when it comes to diversity but it’s such an underrated bonus when going through there b-sides on top of their more cohesive ‘twice sound’ for their title tracks. Yet, you could never say tt and likey, or yes or yes and what is love sound anything similar to each other, just the same concept It’s the same way if you think ‘self producing idol groups’, most people wouldn’t think twice, but they’ve participated in lyric writing for b-sides in basically every album they’ve put out since signal. In their new comeback (october 26th!!), 6 out of the 13 songs will be member-written Lowkey I think it’s nice how they don’t push how diverse or how self-written they are, and leave it as a nice thing for onces to appreciate. But thank you for including them here!! Now I can finally say why jaljayo slaps as a song bc I loveeee bossa nova but I never even realised it
Ikr!! No one honestly knows about twice bsides but thier bsides are soo good I can't get over with them they can be on par honestly with velvet but since people listen to thier title tracks the most I really love how diverse velvet is though I really love that. But people miss on such good music by only listening to title tracks honestly like groups like i*zone gfriend g-idle and others have good bsides as well might not be as diverse but it's still sooo good!!!
Like when were y'all when twice made dubstep, trap, city pop, future bass, electro funk, funk, ballads, bossa nova, doo wap, disco, hip hop, rock, etc. Etc. Etc.
Yeah. Sometimes I get suffocated of the "self-producing" or "self-written" thingy because at the end of the day, I think it still depends on the creative freedom given to them by their own company.
people rarely talk about twice's discography. it's fascinating how twice have diverse discography and still add their touches to it i'm a proud once here!
So impressed by the research and effort put into the video! I wish Mamamoo was here though. Since their debut they explored so many genres and even late into their carreers the keep exploring, in terms of diversity i feel they have something similar to Red Velvet!
@@staysthetic keep in mind, being musically diverse doesn't mean they got good songs, Ateez may not be that diverse yet, but all their songs are top notch. Please do check out their b-sides you will not be disappointed! They experiment a ton within the rock genre, have strong edm songs, great ballads, and often even blend genres!
People usually just hear the titles this is so sad, they're missing masterpieces
*dystopia: the tree of language liked this comment*.
Frrr dreamcatcher is one of my fav groups and deserves soooo much recognition because they’re amazing and soo talented 😭💖✨ if you haven’t already go check out dreamcatcher🥰
@@lvvvrr The diversity of that album is WOWWWWWW
trueee. they have more than rock to offer
I love how TWICE is included in this list despite being branded their discohraphy by other kpop stans as only cutesy. Their discography is indeed gold but underappreciated.
Agree. Twice maybe popular but as a whole, they are underrated and underappreciated, from their discography to their talents.
It's because JYP doesn't promote the bsides well, or put much effort into them, so we only know their title tracks. The bsides act as fill up songs almost. The last album however, there's been some improvement, normally, they make songs just to get no.1 on the charts.
@@yamatonadeshiko567 Lolll no hate I just laughed really hard when you called twice underrated i was like bro what happened to any other group out there I guess everyones underrated now
@@sigh1459 Because they are underrated when it comes to talent and discography. When it comes to talent, Twice isn't really what people think of immediately, especially in vocals. In terms of diverse discography, they are also not what many kpop fans think. Their vocal line is amongst the most underrated or underappreciated. A lot of kpop fans would even say that some vocalists who are actually much weaker than Jihyo, Jeongyeon and Nayeon are much better than them lol. You can be popular but underrated and be not the most popular but overrated.
@@yamatonadeshiko567 Its kind of confusing but yeah that makes sense, thanks

what really impresses me is that stray kids has covered so many genres already while being only 2 years old AND they write and produce all their songs themselves
pretty impressive how they find new sounds themselves, they'd be for sure diving for more, as 3racha have said they're continuously trying out new genres.

It's so nice to see Dreamcatcher being acknowledged for their diversity, a lot of their title tracks are a very distinct intense, rock sound but every album has a little bit of everything! I love their title tracks but I love some of their bsides even more like Curse of the Spider, In the Frozen, Silent Night, and Can't Get You Out of My Mind where they lean more heavily into various edm sounds (psytrance is god-tier)
All I can say is amen to this.

If you look at all of loona’s solos you’ll see how everyone has a very different song. When they’re together as 12 they also don’t have many similar songs. They’re the most diverse group that I know of.

All of these groups deserve to be talked about when it comes to discography, yesss! Shinee and F(x) are so diverse!!
I feel like twice is never immediately thought of when it comes to diversity but it’s such an underrated bonus when going through there b-sides on top of their more cohesive ‘twice sound’ for their title tracks. Yet, you could never say tt and likey, or yes or yes and what is love sound anything similar to each other, just the same concept
It’s the same way if you think ‘self producing idol groups’, most people wouldn’t think twice, but they’ve participated in lyric writing for b-sides in basically every album they’ve put out since signal. In their new comeback (october 26th!!), 6 out of the 13 songs will be member-written
Lowkey I think it’s nice how they don’t push how diverse or how self-written they are, and leave it as a nice thing for onces to appreciate.
But people miss on such good music by only listening to title tracks honestly like groups like i*zone gfriend g-idle and others have good bsides as well might not be as diverse but it's still sooo good!!!
omg jaljayo is THAT song for me. I listen jaljayo to sleep, while on roadtrip, while cooking, while studying basically all the time lol
Fr even people in this comment section didn't talk a lot about twice, their song literally got as the best b-sides track of the year last year
Like when were y'all when twice made dubstep, trap, city pop, future bass, electro funk, funk, ballads, bossa nova, doo wap, disco, hip hop, rock, etc. Etc. Etc.

Ateez isn't that diverse but... Ok is your opinion
@@staysthetic keep in mind, being musically diverse doesn't mean they got good songs, Ateez may not be that diverse yet, but all their songs are top notch.
