    I found a complete, mostly complete built Trumpeter 1/200 Hood for sale for $35 in a hobby shop. Now, I'm repainting it, using a brush, but maybe I should just air brush everything above the deck, since everything is already cemented on, and touch up items with a brush, that need a different color. The PE are in bad shape also. Soon, I'll either get the Iowa or Missouri, and build it up myself, these mega models are the top of modeling world, in my IMHO.

    Small Soldier, thank you for these tutorials. Awesome work in explaining how to work with PE. I'm a newbie to PE, not to modeling ...I've been a modeler for decades but have never worked with brass. I took 10 years off from modeling and have recently rededicated myself to catch up with several projects that've been neglected during that time. I''m currently working on the 1/350 Academy Warspite, bought the Pontos PE for that model. The ship had been started 10 years ago but only got to step 3. Even though your tutorials deal with the Hood, the techniques of working with PE are the same. I even bought the 3D book today upon your recommendation. One point...I share your frustration of the incomplete and confusing explanations contained in the diagrams of the Pontos PE and the kit instructions. I thought that it was me...but you've validated my state of confusion. Thanks again for helping me find some modicum of success. I've rang the RUclips bell and subscribed to you video channel...you've got a new fan.

    Hi building the Hood using the Pontos set I having problems with the fire control on the foredeck, how did you handle this?

    • @SmallSoldier
      @SmallSoldier  3 года назад +1

      I don't think I did that part. I'm only using certain parts that I feel need upgrading. If you tell me the situation i may be able to walk you through it. Thanks
