I’m enjoying the details you include in your videos. Usually it’s an evening of DSO but I am getting greater appreciation for the constellations. Thank you!
Hi there, I just want to thank you for the time you put into making these videos. My children and I have been watching them along with our astronomy curriculum from Memoria Press, and the way you've set up your visuals using other reference points, and multiple images just really cements everything for them. My children are SO thrilled to be able to point out so much of the night sky now (and so am I). Although we're finished with our curriculum now, we plan on continuing to watch as you add new constellations. Thanks again!
Love your videos as you are always so knowledgeable about them. But I was watching this video on Gemini and you had stated that you could fit 9 Earths into the star Pollux. I believe you meant to say 9 suns. No big deal on this one but I just wanted to say let you know. Hope it was ok that I had mentioned this.
Janine, do you have any recommendations on how to find constellations when they appear upside down, sideways, etc. from my perspective on Earth? Thank you.
Gemini roughly equals the constellations of Well, North River, South River, etc. in the Chinese astronomy, all about water. Besides, the celestial area Gemini is also considered as the head of the Vermilion Bird of the South, one of the four holy beasts. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vermilion_Bird
Arm in arm, attempting to support each other as they stagger home after a Stellar Party.
I’m currently looking out at Gemini from my bedroom window. Great video!
Since moving to the area with less light pollution, I really got into exploring the night sky. Your channel is very helpful. Thank you for your work!
it's great to see you still at it keep then coming your vids are great
Binge watching all your videos. You explain things so easily and clearly. Thanks
Hi Janine, at 00:08:07 you said 9 Earths would fit across the diameter of Pollux, did you perhaps mean 9 Suns?🤔
Yes!
That had me confused too

Great video as always ❤
I love listening to your videos while walking at night looking up in the sky. Please keep up the good work!

Thank you for your message. I'm glad to hear these videos help your family to figure out what you see when you look up. I appreciate your support.
Very thanks! Its a pleasure to hear about it. 👏👏👏

I did mean 9 suns. After 57 takes, I do end of making mistakes! 😱 Thank you for correcting the error!
kudos to the Star Lady, the video is naturally great.
In vedic astrology, pollux and castor are collectively called as punarvasu nakshatra , the birth star of lord rama .
I remember gemini like this: Castor with a C is next to Capella in Auriga, Pollux with a P is next to Procyon
Great video, I think that Gemini is an interesting constellation worth knowing about.
great video, everything is quite easy to understand.😍

Like the cast reference, another great video.thanks.
Love your Ouranos ❤... but I thought we were going with Caelus!
That was a really good vid, I like the DSOs bit the most. I’m a teacher too so will recommend to some students…
Thanks for your video
Taurus should be interesting to watch this year as mars will make a return in the winter sky after its alternate year appearance/disappearance.
Janine, do you have any recommendations on how to find constellations when they appear upside down, sideways, etc. from my perspective on Earth? Thank you.
Constellations appear upside down when viewing from the southern hemisphere.

So we can see Gemini in both the northern and southern hemispheres around the same time? Where does it go when it can't be seen?
It is still there, just out during the day so we can’t see it.
@@learnthesky Oh yeah! That makes sense lol
I could´ve sworn I´ve already seen a video on the twins on this channel but didn´t find it in the history
I previously did a video on Gemini. It was a long time ago and needed updating.
@@learnthesky I knew I wasn't crazy
Navajo have oral history of the Hero Twins.
Neat.
very nice video. just a correction, pluto is not a planet 🖤
Pluto is a dwarf planet.
1:00 the text says "two planets". pluto is not a planet 🖤
❤
Namahoe is the Hawaiian name for the twins.
9 earths across the dameter of Pollux. Something does not seem right.
