He is such a geniue brother. I have to admit, I slightly judged him not knowing his story. You can literally see he is battling his nafs and trying to be a good person. May Allah guide him away from music and allow him to use his platform to get to the youth. Ameen.

@Lijeh Perez whether you agree music is harram or not we all know it is addictive because it release dopamine in your brain. You might start off listening to something soft and halal but after a while the dopamine triggers would stop as your brain wants more and something new. It is literally like a drug. Before you know you are listening to music that is vulgar with beats that excites your brain. Like there is a science on making music and controlling your emotions and even subconsciously trying to reprogram your brain. How times has a song been stuck in your brain all day long, even when you are trying to pray? We can agree the music of today overall has no benefit to us, at all.

As Muslims we need to really support each-other, the hate we give can really steer people away from Islam. Lovely positive attitude from this channel. Keep these podcasts coming, extremely beneficial for youth. Music is Harris’s struggle but we all know we have our own struggles so there’s never a need to judge. May Allah guide us all, ameen.

Lol. That’s one dramatic statement. Don’t over dramatise things so much. He was a kid who found fame through music and Islam was also a vehicle for fame, he kind of admitted that and I salute his honesty. His image was clearly based on a young “Muslim” Justin Beiber, great hair, lovely smile and can sing. This was a lot of pressure on a young man especially when Islam was part of his “image”. There was no way he could have lived up to that image, as this proved and he admitted. I don’t think I could have handled that pressure at such a young age. We will have other “Islamic” personalities who fail in there daily life but will be better at hiding misgivings as they are older etc. He is now able to articulate his experiences and is older and wiser Masha’Allah. I hope he can find his way, keep his faith and forge a new path where he can be himself, enjoy the Halal and forbid the Haraam SubhanAllah. He has lots of potential to do well and build from this very honest, self reflecting interview. Best wishes to him, his family and his future Alhamdulillah.

I just realised after this that some types of people in this world
    1. Want to explore haram things thinking they have got time and it's okay with the present culture not wants to change it.
    2. They (us) are in the culture but constantly thinking about it ....Is it haram or halal? And deeply inside wants to be in halal .. But tbh I think we take one positive step and 10 negative steps (process).
3 . They are earning in proper halal but has stop thinking that apart from halal earning behaviour matters , they don't have the ticket to judge others and spread hate, jealousy ,extreme pressurization on others. Basically forget the fact We are BLACK &WHITE in nature.

Haven’t heard much of his songs, loooved the “Save me from Myself” and guiltily listened to it a couple times (May Allah forgive me), until I found the Acapella version which is less harmful. I think he needs to get the “Emaan is in my heart, I can be wherever doing whatever I like” concept outta him. Emaan is all 3, heart, tongue and limbs. Wallahi I wish so much good for this brother. May Allah love him, May Allah guide him to the Sunnah by virtue of his sincerity and love towards the Deen. May Allah reward his parents for the Tarbiyah, May Allah honour him through Islam and nothing else.

This is one misguided statement. The fact he thought that coming back from Hajj and getting a record deal to do Music was a good sign shows he's level of understanding.
Some of the scholars said that the Hajj mabroor is that which is accepted, and the sign of its acceptance is that the person does not go back to disobeying his Lord.
May Allah guide him because he seems lost. And tbh some of these 'Nasheed' artists only make it in the Nasheed world because they don't have what it takes to make it in the real Music industry. Just look at the sales &numbers they do when they try to go to full blown music. So sad. Its heartbreaking to see the video when he's reciting Quran when he was a child to who he is now. May Allah protect our youth.
He made a beautiful point when he mentioned the only time he really felt good is when he's done something for Allah.
May Allah guide him and someone needs to advice him sincerely. Stop jeopardising your Jannah.
Imam I love you nut I really think you need to start telling these so called music artists what they do is Haram because Haris is saying he doesn't even know if its halal or haram and this is a point its upon you to clearly state it is haram publicly and not leave some viewers to be in doubt.

Totally agree!! His parents think music is halal and support him on this journey. I am starting to think these types of videos are dangerous because they seem to give these artist a pass there is no firm message that what they are doing is haram. So when kids see this they think OK cool imam shakeel isn't saying much to them and they have an islamic side too so hey I can do the same..
This is dangerous diluting the severity of what they ads doing all because we donr want to be called haram police or be called for "judging"
U think umar RA wud walk pass open sin and just say softly "brother please don't sin" we become women constantly pussy footing around issues bcs we may hurt someone's feelings.. yet here they are misguiding the youth openly and we don't care.

@Lijeh Perez Guess what. Your opinion does not count for anything and all 4 of the great Imams (all 4 school of thoughts) plus many of the greatest classical scholars (Ibn Taymiyyah, Ibn Qayyim etc) and modern contemporary scholars (Bin Baz, Uthaymeen, Fowzan etc) all agree it is haram and there is a verse that eludes to this in the Quran and hadith. So keep your opinions to yourself as indeed my opinion and yours don't count for anything and the religion is not made up of your opinions

@@habibe3234 He basically was interviewed about his life and his journey with Islam. His parents both converted than married . So growing up in Britain they sent him into a Muslim school he was really close to Quran . at this time he knew nothing about music he never heard it before only Nasheed .( Why? Because before converting his parents where in the music industry and they know how much evil there is in it so it's like they protected him From this). So later on growing up I actually forgot a little but I think during this superior he got somewhat a little away from Islam like it could happen to any of us and he was also having some family problems this period was a hard one for him. Once at one of his dad's Islamic ceremony I think he asked Harris to sing a Nasheed in frot of the people . He got contacted by I think a halal music industry. So he went with them to Egypt and he started recording halal Islamic music with them. He says the only why he went for it was because he wanted to run away from the family problems. But growing up he wanted to explore other types of music that speak about him the agency didn't want to for a long time until he stopped the accord. Anyways he resumed that because of only Islamic music he is being judged quickly by people in the media the Haram police you know? He felt somewhat like a bad person not matching everyone's expected image . No one is perfect that's the reality with have a bad side and a good side . So tile passed he started doing music about himself he then had bad moments and dark ones (honestly I quite forgot what happend) but the results of those moments brought him closer to Allah and he went to umrah he realised that without Allah he is nothing . Hope it helps you understand ☺️ honestly I forgot a little of what he said at the end it's been 2 months since I watched this interview .

The phrase 'I swear down' is actually haram to say as it is a form of swearing by other than Allah and is actually a minor act of shirk but can also become major if you believe that who or what you swore by deserves to be worshiped, that can actually take you out of Islam. Just a quick piece of advice, In'Sha'Alah we can all keep this in mind and learn from it.

Accepting your actions and realizing its wrong is the first step towards REPENTANCE. However you now need to make that decision to stay from the very Evil, you are involved in. Inshallah you will find your way.

I think the biggest problem we have as Muslims esp those that constantly commenting online is constant judging one another, is this wat Islam teaches ? I hav nvr said anyhting about abiut him u should always assume the best .. also wat do the non Muslims be thinking of us wen we're bashing our own people ??!

  • @ia6410
    @ia6410 2 года назад +4

I certainly not going to look the whole video but I certainly have a message that I wish Harris find this really.
If I hate someone is because they did something really wrong to me or is a killer and the people who are nourishing from the misery of other.
About you I really don't hate you I hate some of the things you did every one is being tested continuously in this life and that is the reason I don't see you as a bad person.
The message is a reminder if you want to succeed in this life and the afterlife:
Don't copy what you see because it is trendy or what people think as good or not because in this way you loose your beautiful character. Don't take the likes, subscribers, and followers as your first priority because like that they become your masters. What you see as yourself becomes fake.
Copy and follow what it is clear that Allah likes you to do or say.
The trap of this modern world is taking your weaknesses twist them and taking you out of the reality by giving you power through those weaknesses.
So I remind myself and you that what is the most important thing is the submission to Allah. What others thinks or say about you is not the most important thing.
Like that you find yourself being good and in in the eyes of your surrounding you becomes a good person more humble and just in peace in this world. Sins are part of the test, always try to stay away and do your best , everytime you slip repent
