Sigils are a wonderful tool for magickal workings, there are lots of photos and infromation of how different people use them online but a lot of people don't know how to create them themselves.
This video contains two methods of creating grid sigils that I find easiest for beginners (more videos, with more advanced methods is coming soon).

Finally I understand what a sigil is and how to create them, thanks.
I sometimes use Galifreayan circular language. I’ll create the word, seperate the letter/sound shapes, and move them around until I like the way they look. It works really well sometimes.
Thats quite a good idea! I wonder if learned witches recommend, or if becoz it was created for another use if its different and might not always work? 🤔

Hearth, I have one small suggestion for using grids: Tracing paper! That way, the sheet leaves the grid as the pattern. It may be easier to weave into the subconscious mind as it is more quickly removed from the literary and placed into the symbolic space of perception.
I do have one odd question: Why are the numbers in that specific order on the grid? The letters, too, for that matter? Is there some significance, or is it just to make the order more randomized?
edit again: By the way, it's really refreshing to see a sigils video using instructions based firstly on methods other than the classic letter-elimination method. Too many others focus on that first, followed by a mere mention of other methods. Thank you for that.
the grid is based on chinese numerology from a back of a turtle called lo shu grid
Ha ha I was just thinking that and before writing it I thought I'd check the comments... I'd use my light box or a window because I don't have tracing paper 👍

It would be nice to have aditional information about the history of the grids, maybe even a second video about a little bit of sigil historical knowledge, where were they used and so on (as in goetia for example).

i use tracing paper on top to get the sigil pattern makes it easy to copy on to my candles
The sigils from the letter grid even create images which represent the words and intention...fascinating! For money, I see a graph with the peak going up, as in a business meeting pointing out growth of profit. The protection sigil looks like a house with an antenna on top, with a person inside and the attracting love symbol looks like two people dancing. That's so cool.
Edit: the Saturn grid images look neat too! In "protection" I see a pentagram, for "attracting love", I see two people in bed 😄
This is so much better than the only method I have seen which is to write out the word or phrase, take out all the vowels and double letters and use the leftover letters to come up with something. I've never been able to find something I like. Thank you!
I love how different this method is to how I’ve always made sigils! I’ll likely stick with my tried & true method, but It’s always great to see something radically diff online in amongst a sea of ‘same!’

Jonathan Cuevas spell checks are annoying and not needed. That’s the point they wanted to make. You’re annoying more than an asshole but still that’s the point
@@JonthanCuevas Actually, research has shown that people who point out the grammatical and spelling mistakes of others are more likely to have psychopathic tendencies. Nothing wrong with that, mind you. Dark triad traits can actually help you to become more successful. Anyway, my point to telling you this is to let you know that Dark Iris' statement about you might actually be correct, albeit, in a crude way. ;)

Not sure if this will be seen but I just discovered this video and am absolutely dying for more about the different planetary grids and their uses! For me, I'm in the process of trying to get a livable job and I'm confused whether I want the Mars grid for that energy or the Saturn one for the kick in the pants I probably need to really commit to both getting and doing the job I'm trained for. You've got me really interested in this and I would love to learn more!

Do you have any info on why the planetary grids are structured the way they are? I know I can google, but I’m never completely sure the info I’m getting has any validity.
Of course! I had to look into it and ALL THE MATH!!! Haven’t run into why the planets are associated with the numbers they are associated with, but I think I’ve read about that before in a totally different thing.
Off the top of my head I can't remember how the total number for each planet was used, (hopefully I will be able to find the information and add it into another video) but they create the grids so the total number of each line comes to the same number, they are then used to help manifest the energy of the planet in your workings xx

i couldnt find my book but if i remember correctly and it has been 20 yrs ago. its based on a chinese kun ban nua? based on a shell of a turtle when i looked it up its called lo shu grid? and if u add the 3 numbers like tic tac do it adds up to 15

as far as I know the original origin of those sigils grids are from a book called "in the Shadow of a Shaman" by Amber Wolfe printed in 1998
Interesting, I've never made sigils using these methods before - I learned how to do it using a weird complicated method with a sentence and crossing doubles and... well... it was a hot fucking mess. I think that's why sigil magick never worked with me. I'm so excited to use this - thanks!
I love that method and it's the easiest one for me to understand! But I get what you mean. There are more steps.

Circular things are actually a friendly shape, so if you have a positive sigil, you should use circles!
I had no idea about these techniques! I love the one with the planet grids and will likely have to try it out! I've been working with numerology for so many years that I know the number correspondences by heart. :D

Kind of a noobular question: what's the difference between rune's, seal's, ward's and sigil's? I know they are made different and possess different amounts of potency and the life/duration of the effects. Aaaaaand are considered sometimes to be totally different "school's" of symbols with imbued magic's but what actually separates them from eachother?

What do you think about the alternative methods people use to make sigils such as write the words, take out the vowels and draw using the letters and your intuition
I have no real opinion. I personally don’t find the technique works for me but for many people it does. There are so many techniques out there go for what works for you.

One more comment here....I saw another person do a similar circle, but she removed all of the vowels and has said that vowels aren't used. I see now there can be so many different ways to do it. I do like the box method; I notice all those numbers add to 15 regardless of which direction you add the numbers.
I have a question... so I use 3x3 grid to make sigils, but I don't use it in that order of 4 9 2 etc. And I dont know if I've been doing it wrong. The way I was instructed to do it was to if I, for example, get 438761 I was supposed to put those numbers in a 3x3 grid and then make my sigil. So I would be left with

If it's been working for you, you haven't done it wrong :)
I wouldn't put just money; I'd worry that it would come from maybe an insurance policy where a loved one died or an accident that could cause me or someone else permanent harm. Instead I'd say something like "My employer pays me an excellent wage", or "my parents increased my allowance".
This is really interesting. What would you do when using other planetary squares? For instance, on the lunar square, the numbers go up to 81, how would you assign letters to those numbers?
For the Jupiter and Mars planetary grids, with no more than 25 numbers, the protocol you use works fine, but the other planetary grids have more numbers than letters in the alphabet, leaving me unsure how to assign letters to the number?

Parchment paper is see through and some papers used for shop bags are also translucent and they work for going Magick as they’re from the same place as the supplies you use the spell for. However, I’m curious about winning a lottery, what words would you use?

How do you create a planetary grid? The numbers in the grid, are they what number the planet is? I'm very interested in creating with the planet correspondences bit not sure how to make the initial grid to start. Help??
I wonder as an alternative to writing out your sigils; what about using a nozzled bottle containing powdered or granulated substance, or a flammable liquid, then pouring it out and blowing or brushing away the powder, or setting fire to the liquid after setting intent?
Oh i see!! the saturn grid, all rows add up to 15 1+5=6 saturn is 6th planet out from the sun a spot of numerology!!!
What would you do on the number grid if you happened to have 3 of the same number? Such as in "good luck" you do a bump for a double but what about a triple? 🤔
I came across number grids for all of the planets. Do you use a different number grid based on the need or do you always used this particular grid? Also, do you have any idea what the different numbers mean in regards to each planet?

The details are somewhat involved, but a beginning to the answer to your question is that Magick Squares use the same numerical correspondences that are derived from the Qabbalistic Tree of Life. The third sphere on the Tree of Life is Binah, which correlates to Saturn, hence the 3x3 Magick Square is the Square of Saturn. More to your question, you'll note that the totals of the rows, columns, and diagonals equal the same number, 15. For a more detailed explanation, check out Practical Astrology for Witches and Pagans, by Ivo Dominguez, Jr. Good book.
Your circle grids look like a version of the Rose Cross circular grid of the Golden Dawn.
Main difference is that the GD RC version has 3 elemental letters at center, surrounded by 7 planetary letters, all surrounded by 12 zodiac letters. This is why the GD use this method for Angel sigils.

Your second protection sigil looks like a dog I think. I can see the star, yes, but, the dog is WAY more clear in my opinion. But I think that works. Dogs made great guards. So it fits perfect with protection.
I think that's exactly how sigils should work; they resonate specifically with you and your purpose.

I've thought of this too and I believe that you can. Apparently even working better when the sigils are more closely related in their tasks.

I suppose many people would be repeating the sigils they like to use. I don't suppose its normal to refigure them every time and rather have a library of pre-drawn sigils?
Does the language matter? Does it matter if I used the englisch or german word, if I am fluent in both? Or any language for as long as I understand its meaning?

What if i was translating a number sequence with numbers above 26 into a sigil? How would I find the letters that correspond to the numbers 40, 30, 58?
You add the two numbers together to make one under 26
Also, I found this method doesn't work with other grids. Like a mars grid doesn't have 1-9 numbers. How would one construct the letters for different planetary grids?
