I just did my first sigil a few nights ago and OMG the difference so far is crazy!! I did one to banish negative energy and people from my room after my sister barged in and attacked me. I could feel the tension still in here and after I did the banishment it was like someone opened a window. I felt the negative energy (and I’m pretty sure a negative spirit that attached to me a month ago) just lift off my shoulders. I had therapy the next day and she said i seems like I was in a chipper mood when I logged on. It was the first time could talk to her about the problems going on in my life without sobbing about them. Like I was finally able to be productive and retain the information from my therapy
This video made it dawn on me that the two tattoos I have are basically sigils. While I didn't get them with that intention specifically, they are both significators of things that I value and want to welcome and manifest more of in my life, and are both in places that I often forget about. These are 7 and 10 year old tattoos and I'm just realizing that they're low key magic ✨

Planetary cameas like these go back a good ways in history, but we only discovered Neptune in 1846 and Pluto in 1930. **edit: Sorry you said Uranus, not Neptune. Uranus was discovered in 1781, so still fairly modern.**
I’m really bad at designing sigils and therefore never tried using them. Thank you for showing us methods that don’t include artistically linking letters together.
Would love to see how you use the larger grids since many of the grids have numbers grater than 9 so using the 1-9 alphabet key doesn’t give complete access
i have a question about using planetary grids for sigils! some of them go really high in numbers, so how would i translate letters in a way that would allow me to use all of them? obviously for the saturn grid you showed how we could cut them down to 1-9, but some grids go 30+, and there arent even that many letters in the alphabet to be able to use every square. do we just never use those squares in those grids? or is there some way to use them?

That indeed often overlooked in these type of videos. I use all systems of sigil creation you showed. It will depend on my mood what I go for. That witch's sigil wheel looks like the one I've seen from The Golden Dawn. I believe it's from there. In some cases I'll channel or reseive a sigil if it's deity related.

I just remembered that they took the rose from the rose cross and divided the rose in a similar fashion as the sigil wheel. I believe they used the Hebrew alfabet or the Enochian alfabet on the rose. It's been a while since I looked up the information.
The second way you showed is the one that resonated with me the most. I like the idea of using letters because I think they contain the intention behind the words in a way. But the wheel looks interesting too.

You can set it up to charge however you want! There's a video I did titled "7 Energy Sources" for spellwork and towards the end, I talked about how to tether your spellwork to external energy sources if you wanted to watch that for more detail. But for protection specifically, I like to use the earth element. I use the tendril technique to tether my home protection wards to the earth so that there is a constant supply of steady energy. (I think I talked about tethering to the earth in that video too if you need further clarification.) But yeah, you could also write it into your intention statement! "This sigil is powered by... (Insert energy source.) This is a great example of why I love creating mega sigils which are basically multiple small sigils rolled into one big one. You can have one sigil dedicated to your purpose (home protection) and one Sigil dedicated to how this will maintain power ("this sigil is powered by...") And then you combine those two sigils together to create a mega Sigil. Hope that helps!

How do you use the other planetary grids for sigils. Some of the numbers go above 26 which is the amount of letters we have IF we are counting vowels. Can you share an example of one of the bigger grids like the Moon Grid? I am about to watch the planetary magic video so apologies if there is an example in there I haven't seen yet. 5:14 I just wanted to further clarify that you don't need to use the letters as they are. you can count the amount of pen strokes and use the same amount for each part of the sigil (example: M has 4 strokes, H has 3, C and S are one stroke each). And also you can use magickal alphabets to replace letters if you want.
This information is so helpful and concise. Thank you. My biggest question is how to use a much bigger planetary square like the moon. If using like the Saturn square it makes sense with 9 numbers but using the Moon square doesn’t seem to work. Could you clarify that or reference a book or some other informational format for using a larger square please? I’ve thought maybe you would reverse the letters with the numbers? So the "sounding consonants" are said to be the most important part of the word because it's what gives the word it's sound. If you take a word and cancel out the vowels, it still kind of sounds like the original word. The vowels are just fillers. And really all you're doing here is trying to shorten the word to have less letters to work with. When you're using grids, you really want the least amount of letters possible so the sigil comes out clean. It really doesn't matter what letters you cancel out, it just needs to be short and sweet when using grids 😊

Hi!! Great video! I bave some questions as I don't completly get how to use them. I had an ideia that you could like draw sigils in places to sort of give them properties you know? Like could I draw the home protection sygil in the windows and doors of my house to prevent someone from breaking in for example? This is definitely going to depend on the practitioner because the answer will change depending on who you talk to! Personally, I LOVE using my intense emotions to fuel a spell. However, it's much harder to get the spell to turn out the way you want when your emotions are all over the place. If you're willing to take the risk, go for it! Allow those feelings to charge up your intention. But if you're anxious and worried it might not work, then I'd advise you to wait. You don't want anxiety creeping into the spell. ❤️
Can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched this video. I’m overthinking the charging and activating part BUT i found a way to make sigils that calls to me. I wondered though, when we take time to pretty up a sigil could that be considered charging if you go into a relaxed state while doing so?

Present tense for sure! "Justice is being served." Many practitioners say that if you use past tense, the universe automatically assumes the job has been completed already and no additional action will be taken.

So, as far as my understanding goes, "micro-sigils" refer to sigils that are created for anything within the microcosm: our day to day tasks, and things on a smaller scale that you would like to achieve. Macro-sigils are sigils that are created for anything in the macrocosm: large-scale things, invoking magical or celestial entities, big life changes, etc. I hope that makes sense! I'm sure the definition varies from culture to culture but that's the only context I've ever heard of micro-sigils versus macro-sigils. I'm curious though, if you find any other information on this, do let me know!!

When you charge or put the sigil into your subconscious mind by chanting the Latin phrase and going into an altered state do you just do it one time and then it's in the subconscious or do you have to do it for a period of a couple days to get it into your subconscious? Thanks for providing many options and not making it seem like there's only one way to do sigils. I've been. Utilizing the phrase method where I eliminate vowels and repeated letters. Let's say the letter is repeated more than one time (for example 4 times) do I rid of every single repeated letter? Also I charge sigil once drawn by drawing it on a bay leaf then burning bay leaf. I like to take the ashes and smearing ashes on the sigil once redrawn for grimoire for future reference, is this a good way to charge sigil?
Oh and when you use grids with larger numbers how do you do that? Like if your numbers are 48179234, would you chose 4 or 48 if you were using the Luna grid for example.
You would always use the individual numbers, so you would use "4" instead of "48" in this case! Since our English alphabet only goes up to 26, the higher numbers will never be used. 🖤

It is about the history and theoretical principles underlying the ancient practice of crafting Fu talismans, or magical sigils, in the Chinese Taoist tradition and gives detailed instructions for modern practitioners who would like to craft their own sigils. It is fascinating. Have you read it?
How to charge the sigil while doing meditation (and eye closed)? you said one must look at the sigil during charging right? but when doing meditation, the eyes must be closed...I am confused now.
open eyed meditation! you 'scry' into the sigil. so keep your eyes open, maybe be in a dimly lit room, and keep gaze at it until sleepy/in trance. hope this helps!

Found the answer in other answers. You're getting rid of the non-sounding letters, so presumably I would still be included, as it's what makes sound for that word.
So I've if I've activated a sigil for approximately a yr but I want a new sigil for the same intention for whatever reason, do I need to deactive the current sigil? And if so I do I go about doing that??😊

One more question hahaha. If you cross out all the vowels, how come there are vowels in the number chart you use to convert your letters into numbers? And why do we eliminate vowels? That’s always been a mystery to me. Is there a reason for it?
I love questions!! 😆 So, you don't always have to remove the vowels if you don't want to. But removing the vowels is a way of shortening the word so that the sigil looks better and isn't so long. The vowels aren't really necessary because it's the "sounding consonants" that make a word what it is. For example, if you take a word and remove the vowels, you can see that the word still kind of sounds like the original word it was. The "sounding" consonants are what's most important, so we can get rid of the vowels to shorten the word. Sigils look much cleaner when they are shorter! As far as vowels still being present in the chart that converts letters to numbers, you still want to represent the entire alphabet. Some people don't cross out vowels, and some people do! But regardless, it's good to have all the letters of the alphabet represented on the conversion chart. I hope that makes sense! You definitely don't have to cross anything out if you don't want to! ☺️🖤
if you “activate” a sigil with your intention…do all sigils of that same design manifest for whoever comes into contact or draws them if that’s a part of their intention? Or is a sigil just a visual piece of art until someone activates it through a ritual? Example intention: “the wearer or bearer of this sigil is divinely protected.” Then all who draw this sigil and wear it or bear it on them will be divinely protected? But they don’t need to do any kind of activation ritual? And Can I “activate” a sigil for another person who has a permanent version of the sigil on a pendant? Or do I need to physically possess the item to “activate” the sigil? I have a digital copy, so I can print or remake and do a burning ritual but does that make that sigil active, and its effects are with the pendant? And if so, is the “activation” method different from a typical method IE gnosis >burning, burying, blowing, or water dissipating?
So there are some very controversial points here and I'm sure many magicians could argue over what is proper sigil etiquette and what is not. Short answer: the sigil must be lodged into your subconscious mind in order for it to theoretically work. So each person that wears the sigil would need to go through a charging/activation process in order for the sigil to work for them. Sigils work because you subconsciously manifest them throughout your day when you aren't consciously thinking about it. So if you have not lodged that sigil into your subconscious mind (as in, someone else made it for you) then it most likely won't work. If you're looking to protect your loved ones without them having to do anything, I suggest looking into poppet magick instead. (I also have a video on that.) With sigils, people can use the same sigils if they want to, as long as they are still charging/activating the sigils themselves. Also, you do not need to possess the physical item, as long as you are going through the proper charging/activating techniques with the symbol itself. Hope that helps!

Sigil grids are a great candidate for lamination. Then you can use dry erase on them or even sharpie and erase it with rubbing alcohol.

(I think I talked about tethering to the earth in that video too if you need further clarification.) But yeah, you could also write it into your intention statement! "This sigil is powered by... (Insert energy source.) This is a great example of why I love creating mega sigils which are basically multiple small sigils rolled into one big one. You can have one sigil dedicated to your purpose (home protection) and one Sigil dedicated to how this will maintain power ("this sigil is powered by...") And then you combine those two sigils together to create a mega Sigil. Hope that helps!

How do you use the other planetary grids for sigils. Some of the numbers go above 26 which is the amount of letters we have IF we are counting vowels. Can you share an example of one of the bigger grids like the Moon Grid? I am about to watch the planetary magic video so apologies if there is an example in there I haven't seen yet. 5:14 I just wanted to further clarify that you don't need to use the letters as they are. you can count the amount of pen strokes and use the same amount for each part of the sigil (example: M has 4 strokes, H has 3, C and S are one stroke each). And also you can use magickal alphabets to replace letters if you want.

This information is so helpful and concise. Thank you. My biggest question is how to use a much bigger planetary square like the moon. If using like the Saturn square it makes sense with 9 numbers but using the Moon square doesn’t seem to work. I have always been confused as to why vowels get removed right off the bat. Even the witches wheel has the vowels.
So the "sounding consonants" are said to be the most important part of the word because it's what gives the word it's sound. If you take a word and cancel out the vowels, it still kind of sounds like the original word. The vowels are just fillers. And really all you're doing here is trying to shorten the word to have less letters to work with. When you're using grids, you really want the least amount of letters possible so the sigil comes out clean. It really doesn't matter what letters you cancel out, it just needs to be short and sweet when using grids 😊

Hi!! Great video! I bave some questions as I don't completly get how to use them. I had an ideia that you could like draw sigils in places to sort of give them properties you know? Like could I draw the home protection sygil in the windows and doors of my house to prevent someone from breaking in for example? This is definitely going to depend on the practitioner because the answer will change depending on who you talk to! Personally, I LOVE using my intense emotions to fuel a spell. However, it's much harder to get the spell to turn out the way you want when your emotions are all over the place. If you're willing to take the risk, go for it! Allow those feelings to charge up your intention. But if you're anxious and worried it might not work, then I'd advise you to wait. You don't want anxiety creeping into the spell. ❤️

So, as far as my understanding goes, "micro-sigils" refer to sigils that are created for anything within the microcosm: our day to day tasks, and things on a smaller scale that you would like to achieve. Macro-sigils are sigils that are created for anything in the macrocosm: large-scale things, invoking magical or celestial entities, big life changes, etc. I hope that makes sense! I'm sure the definition varies from culture to culture but that's the only context I've ever heard of micro-sigils versus macro-sigils. I'm curious though, if you find any other information on this, do let me know!!

Thanks for providing many options and not making it seem like there's only one way to do sigils. I've been. Utilizing the phrase method where I eliminate vowels and repeated letters. Let's say the letter is repeated more than one time (for example 4 times) do I rid of every single repeated letter? Also I charge sigil once drawn by drawing it on a bay leaf then burning bay leaf. I like to take the ashes and smearing ashes on the sigil once redrawn for grimoire for future reference, is this a good way to charge sigil?

You would always use the individual numbers, so you would use "4" instead of "48" in this case! Since our English alphabet only goes up to 26, the higher numbers will never be used. 🖤

Found the answer in other answers. You're getting rid of the non-sounding letters, so presumably I would still be included, as it's what makes sound for that word.

One more question hahaha. If you cross out all the vowels, how come there are vowels in the number chart you use to convert your letters into numbers? And why do we eliminate vowels? That’s always been a mystery to me. Is there a reason for it?
I love questions!! 😆 So, you don't always have to remove the vowels if you don't want to. But removing the vowels is a way of shortening the word so that the sigil looks better and isn't so long. The vowels aren't really necessary because it's the "sounding consonants" that make a word what it is. For example, if you take a word and remove the vowels, you can see that the word still kind of sounds like the original word it was. The "sounding" consonants are what's most important, so we can get rid of the vowels to shorten the word. Sigils look much cleaner when they are shorter!
As far as vowels still being present in the chart that converts letters to numbers, you still want to represent the entire alphabet. Some people don't cross out vowels, and some people do! But regardless, it's good to have all the letters of the alphabet represented on the conversion chart. I hope that makes sense! You definitely don't have to cross anything out if you don't want to! ☺️🖤

Yes, you can! I like to make the sigil out of the servitor's name, then proceed to charge/activate as normal.

if you “activate” a sigil with your intention…do all sigils of that same design manifest for whoever comes into contact or draws them if that’s a part of their intention?
Or is a sigil just a visual piece of art until someone activates it through a ritual?
Example
intention: “the wearer or bearer of this sigil is divinely protected.”
Then all who draw this sigil and wear it or bear it on them will be divinely protected? But they don’t need to do any kind of activation ritual?
And
Can I “activate” a sigil for another person who has a permanent version of the sigil on a pendant?
Or do I need to physically possess the item to “activate” the sigil?
I have a digital copy, so I can print or remake and do a burning ritual but does that make that sigil active, and its effects are with the pendant?
And if so, is the “activation” method different from a typical method IE gnosis >burning, burying, blowing, or water dissipating?
So there are some very controversial points here and I'm sure many magicians could argue over what is proper sigil etiquette and what is not. Short answer: the sigil must be lodged into your subconscious mind in order for it to theoretically work. So each person that wears the sigil would need to go through a charging/activation process in order for the sigil to work for them. Sigils work because you subconsciously manifest them throughout your day when you aren't consciously thinking about it. So if you have not lodged that sigil into your subconscious mind (as in, someone else made it for you) then it most likely won't work. If you're looking to protect your loved ones without them having to do anything, I suggest looking into poppet magick instead. (I also have a video on that.) With sigils, people can use the same sigils if they want to, as long as they are still charging/activating the sigils themselves. Also, you do not need to possess the physical item, as long as you are going through the proper charging/activating techniques with the symbol itself. Hope that helps!

@@agentjay4494 correct! The only way that it could be used to protect others is if you are the one that is subconsciously protecting them. Otherwise, the sigil won't do much for a person who hasn't charged/activated it
