Bob Rock was the engineer for the first 4 albums of Loverboy + the bestselling Bon Jovi album Slippery When Wet. The Cult hired BR bc of Slippery When Wet. Sonic Temole became tge best selling album for The Cult. All of these albums were recorded in Little Mountain Sound, Vancouver, the most famous studio in Canada. In the studio recording of this song + rest of Sonic Temple, Vancouver native John Webster played keyboards + Mickey Curry of the Bryan Adams band played drums. Matt Sorum played drums on tour. At the end of this tour, he joined Guns n Roses.
Wow, what to say about the Cult. Very underrated band, not a metal band. One of my favorite bands. I have seen them at least 6 times. The thing about the Cult, evolutionary band. This album at it's release was not what they were known for, they went into a different direction. There is not a single dud on this album. The Cult started out as a goth band. Check out "Dreamtime", "Love", and "Electric". They went through such a change in that span of time. Even after "Sonic Temple" and "Ceremony", they continued to experiment and change. I like most of their stuff. Even their latest sounds like something of "Dreamtime" with other aspects of their catalog mixed in there. Rick Rubin produced "Electric" and Bob Rock produced "Sonic Temple". those two albums were their biggest change to form albums, everything else they have done since then seems to be a mix and match of all the things they have done. "Beyond Good and Evil" is a must listen. Girls, definitely check out as much of their stuff you can. Look up "Painted On My Heart" too. Happy listening.

Started life in London as Southern Death Cult, and were a seriously great goth rock outfit. Producer Rick Rubin decided their material would sound better if they ditched the blouses and pigtails and transformed them into a West Coat Rawk band. Either way Ian, Billy and Jamie were a classic act.
