    I'd have no hesitation to buy or recommend this unit. I have a Kroak 400 Farad U/C jump starter and yesterday I had a to crank my 103 cubic inch Harley Davidon using the jump starter (silly me left the ignition on for 4 hours when it was parked in the garage) and it worked like a charm. Admittedly, the 103 engine has compression release solenoids in the cylinder heads, so I can't say for sure how easy it would be to crank an Evo 80, or twin-cam 88 or 96 that doesn't have the compression release solenoids. Whilst having seen these sorts of gadgets being demonstrated on RUclips, there's nothing like the satisfaction you get when using it in real life and being able to start your engine.

    Picked up a super cap booster for my Hybrid which is known to get low voltage. Can just leave it in the car since no batteries. Already used it to boost some ladies SUV after an attempt boosting it with a small compact car failed. Worked great. Personally I only need it to get the high voltage relays connected.

    Very good video,we can see prons n conts on this kind of devises👍

      Pros: Compact size, comes with a protective case.
      Cons: Instructions are not printed on the unit (unlike some other products), clamps are poor quality.

    The only thing about your video that does not make sense is why you only tapped the start button when the battery was supposedly dead. Once the charger was connected you actually held down the start button.

    • @jlsetnuper
      @jlsetnuper  Год назад +2

      thanks for watching..actually the battery is not totaly dead, it has 9 or 8 volts remaining which is cannot start the car..but 9 or 8 volt can still be use to charge a super capacitor a few minutes..when the super capacitor jump starter is fully charge from the remaining power of the battery, then it can be use start the car..

    So you used a low battery to charge the capacitor and then use that to jump start. Brilliant

      Correct, but there is a minimum in which that will work. If the battery is too low, then use a battery from someone else for a few minutes...or it will charge (slowly) like a phone using a phone charger and outlet.

      yes , the design of the device seems being such...what if the battery dies just because of that? especially happens when freezing temps outside...whilst capacitos care not about too much load put on them , chemical batteris may dies very easily should one apply huge load at semi-frost liquid inside them

    • @Jonathan-L
      @Jonathan-L 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@alexandermurghulia7140 What you say is correct, and everything has its limits. The main benefit of a supercapacitor jump starter is that it doesn't use batteries (unlike a lithium battery based jump starter). I keep mine in my car all the time and it can be several years before I may need it, so therefore I don't have to worry about it not holding charge. And it's another way of mitigating a lithium battery fire (controversial subject, I know).

    This can start with battery removed from the car. Need to charge the capacitor to at least 97% to100%. Connect to car without the battery. Short press to turn unit on. Long press until display go out and back on again. Count down will begin. Start car when hear long beep.

      Running an engine with the battery disconnected is a bad idea. The battery prevents the alternator from creating voltage spikes that can take out light bulbs and even the ECU.

    For owners of this product, here’s advice: when charging from the car battery, press the button once to start the jump sequence when it reaches full charge. This video is deceiving as the person appears to be holding it down.
    When the battery is too low on voltage for the above situation, charge the jumper with a donor car battery if available because it charges in 3 minutes. If a donor car battery is not an option, charge via the 12V DC adaptor. This takes longer. If a donor 12V DC outlet is not available, charge via USB and it will take 45 minutes. When using USB, either connect the SC jumper to the battery to be jumped during the whole process, or connect it towards the end. Reason being, u need to work fast or the SC will fall below workable voltage before proceeding to the next step.
    After charging the SC jumper via donor battery, 12V outlet or USB, the user most run the override sequence. To do so, start with the display on. Then, hold the button down while the display turns off and then turn back on. Release the button when the display turns back on. The unit will now start the jump sequence. This override is like doing a hard reset to an iPhone. The reason it is done is because the SC will not start the jump sequence if it thinks it is not connected to a battery (voltage is too low or non existent).

    8:35 you can carry around a little 9v battery to initiate the start sequence with a charged jump pack, just connect it and leave it connected through the countdown beeps, and switch the connection to the car after it finishes.
    Just be aware it's definitely not recommended to do this, because the fully charged output exceeds 15.5V, some as high as 16.3V, which may be beyond the car electronic circuits tolerance.
    Also, the battery is a critical part of the voltage regulation of the car alternator, and running with no battery will cause voltage transients that may be damaging. There's a reason for the safety interlock, so you'd have to be aware of what's happening if you bypass it

    This unit WILL start a car without battery. Need to be sure the unit is 97-100% charged. Press the button for the screen to come on, then long press the button, the screen will go out but just keep pressing for around 15 seconds. the screen will come back on and give the 10 beeps before your able to start the car without a battery. I hope this helps.

    that just showed me the device is a nightmare to use... very limited. for those people who know not much about "volts an stuff" cause i have no idea why the hell it constantly draws power from every source connected first and why not allows to start the car without battery.... what is my battery is totaled? just recently happened to me, was nkt charging at all and constantly losing poer in vain

    • @voodoo_chicken1
      @voodoo_chicken1 7 месяцев назад

      The poster didn’t use the device properly. If the battery is too low on voltage, it must be charged by another power source: another car or from a battery bank. Once charger, hold the button down until it resets. Similar process with an iPhone. When that happens, it triggers the start sequence and starts the beeping. Once the beep is steady, it releases the charge and u can start ur engine.

      Your solar panel would need to be one of those on top of your roof, because if you're thinking a little portable solar panel, it'd have nowhere enough current to work.

    • @dubmob151
      @dubmob151 9 месяцев назад +1

      It can do it if the power bank is of sufficient capacity, it just takes an excessively long time to be of much use unless you're really stuck out in the boonies with no other alternatives. If you like to plan ahead, just carry around a tiny 12V sealed lead acid battery for charging.

    • @voodoo_chicken1
      @voodoo_chicken1 7 месяцев назад

      Most bank will change it unless u have one of those little dingy things. 5000mah hold do it. Most banks are 10,000 mah.

    • @dubmob151
      @dubmob151 7 месяцев назад

      It only needs about 700mAh of a power bank capacity to charge up the super cap jump pack, but it just takes too long using a 5V power bank compared to a 12V power source.
