There is a beautiful bypass highway road .

You took very long route and it was almost U-turn of extra 80-90kms. After Nipani at Tavandi Ghat top there is a right turn, from there staight road for Amboli. But you went all the way near to Belagavi unnecessary and took U-tun from there. Btw you pronounced it as Belagao but its Belagavi in Kannada (Native language of Karnataka) and Belagao in Marathi. Belagavi city is in Karnataka.
