Lorraine I enjoyed your visit so much. You are such an inspiration to all of us and I appreciate your time with us. Keep that beautiful smile and keep stitching.
You are such a bright spot!!!! It so wonderful to see you so excited for March Mayhem!!! You have so many beautiful pieces picked out!! Yay for a very fun month ahead for you! Hugs ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hello, sweet stitchy friend. My goodness, I poured a cup of coffee, got out my stitching and then BAM! You SPLASHED me with goodness and inspiration!!!! Your beautiful smile and spirit slipped through the computer screen. Your month ahead looks wonderful. Happy Stitching, your friend, Daleen
Oh, how I wish we could sit and drink a cup of coffee together and stitch the morning away! You are such a sweet, precious friend, and a true blessing to me! ❤️
Are you a little excited!! LOL. I had some good chuckles during your video; I am glad that you plan to video again soon so we can see your progress. You are going to have so much fun stitching the beautiful patterns that you have chosen. I look forward to your next video. Hugs and happy stitching.....................
Yes I have used the Distress It spray once and loved the results I got. Now, that said, I used it on my linen before I started stitching and then I rinsed the fabric a bit and let it dry. I can certainly understand your apprehension about spraying your finished piece. I would suggest laying out several large pieces of paper towels and practice, practice, practice spraying on those first so you can see how the spray pattern is before you actually spray your piece. And also I would say less is more, it doesn't take much and hold the bottle a ways back from your piece. But I would totally use this product again. Good luck!
Thank you for sharing your experience, Julie! I will definitely practice before attempting it on my finished piece. I’ve just got to work up the courage to do it!
Dearest Lorraine, You are so precious...thank you for your kind and sweet words! How funny that I was texting you about Sally Spencer while you were filming! I love that we are stitching this piece together. Your excitement is contagious and when you said you were “plum tickled and plum giddy”, I smiled big time. How lovely that you are stitching Viola in your Mother’s memory-I love that! Your Pledge of Allegiance piece is so pretty and I really love your Words of Praise sampler! As for your March Mayhem, I have most of of those charts and I’m so excited to see your progress on.those lovely pieces. I can’t wait to see you and hug you....love you!
There are no words, Caroline. I’m BEYOND plum tickled and giddy about seeing you soon! It puts March Mayhem to shame. I will not be held responsible for my actions on that day. Just sayin! 😍🤪❤️
Lorraine, you are such a lovely gem, I feel like I could stitch with you out on the front porch for hours, you are so dear. Oh I might add the your excitement is infectious!!!! Much love and God bless you as well! 💚
Hello! Always love your videos when they come out. SO grateful that you put in the time and effort to share. A real blessing to me. I love your Pledge of Allegiance and think it will look fabulous with some aging. I have no experience to share with you, though. Your March Mayhem plans look amazing. I feel like you do when I do a start mania of any type SOOO exciting > I look forward to seeing how it is going in a couple of weeks.. Have fun!!
Thank you so much for your sweet comment, Julie! I’m nervous about spraying the Pledge, but I think I really need to. MAYBE I’ll gather up the courage to do it before my next video!
I've purchased that spray also....planned to take a scrap piece of fabric to try it on. If I try it soon, I'll shout out. The sampler is so beautiful! You are so cute! So fun to see someone so excited on the outside about March Mayhem as I feel on the inside! :) LOL I'm signed up to watch all your videos! TY for a fun video!
Your excitement is contagious!! I’m sitting here getting all excited about my WIPs! I had an FFO tonight and also an FO to fully finish tomorrow. I use index cards to keep a record of my projects. I have about 50 things in progress. About half are good sized projects/ samplers but the other half are small seasonal things that need a few days to wrap up. They are my focus this spring. It was fun seeing what you are working on! I don’t know about that spray but I have used a spray by Primitive Gatherings which I like. I agree about your piece needing to look older so I hope you find a spray that works. 🧵✂️❤️😊
Ooooh, Barbara, you’ve got some real goodies in your WIPs, too! I’m drooling over that latest FFO-Cookies House! Gorgeous! I love your finish on that! I have a feeling you and I could do some damage in a shop together! 😆
It is infectious when we see others excited about their pieces, isn’t it? You’ve inspired me many times with your lovely things! Thank you for visiting with me!
Love your excitement! I cant wait to see your progress on your new starts. I'm participating but not starting as many things. Have a great month & stitch on!!
You inspired me to stitch the Mary Beale’s stockings for my three grandchildren! They are my weekend stitching. I’m a fellow Georgia stitcher and I love your channel. Maybe we will meet in person one day. Many Blessings, Laura 😊❤️
Oh, I would love to meet you and stitch together in person! I’d love to see your stockings! Maybe we can arrange a meet-up in the not-so-distant future!
@@RagstoStitchesUSA Thanks Loraine! Yes, maybe when the world returns to normal. I’m planning to attend the Gainesville stitching meetups when they reconvene. If you attend those meetings, I’m sure we will meet there. 😊. Just to let you know, I’m the Currahee Stitcher on flosstube and lately I’ve been trying to post every week. Sometimes I meet that goal and sometimes I don’t. 😉. Last time I posted, I posted progress on my middle grandchild’s stocking. I’d love to have you stop by if you have the time. No pressure, just an invitation. Take care. 😊❤️
Lorraine 🌹 Pledge 1896 Allegiance looks awesome. Soooo I haven’t used any color sprays, I always dissolved instant coffee, or Tea with vanilla, I have used the walnut crystals. Which gets very dark quickly & tricky to use. Experiment on a small piece of fabric.. you’ll do fine. 🤗 Cuzzzz your so excited 😀to start 🧵 Mayham . Loved your pieces ... loved your excitement ♥️🤗 your joyful spirit is so refreshing, just what I needed tonight.. Remember the song “ Joy, Joy Joy , down in my heart, where l, down in my heart I’ve got the Joy Joy Joy Joy love of Jesus down in my heart ♥️ to stay” I had this song running through my head while you shared all your JOY with us.. Blessings ~ Lorraine ♥️🤗🙏🌹
I started singing that while reading your comment! 🎶 I did coffee and tea dye this piece, but I either didn’t make my dye strong enough, or I didn’t leave it in long enough. I’m gonna try the spray on a scrap piece-whenever I can muster up the courage to get started! It’s so good to hear from you, sweet friend! ❤️
@@RagstoStitchesUSA Thank you Lorraine.... trying to keep my heart & mind steadfast in Jesus, His word.. Stitching as often as I can, it’s a calming quiet time .... with the Lord... Hope to see my son in April.. he’s hanging in, getting closer to the Lord ...🐕💤 Hugs 🤗 sweet friend.. Blessings ~ Lorraine 🤗♥️🙏🙏🇺🇸♥️🌹😊
I have used the distress it spray. My only caution is the first spray or two, spray it on like a paper towel or an old rag because it can spray thick until you get it unclogged. Hope this helps. It does have a good look though. Hey, my birthday is July 1, 🥳!
We’re almost twinsies! I still haven’t tried the spray yet. I’m just a little skeered! I will heed your advise and spray a few times on a tester first. One day. When I’m brave! Thank you for your advise, and your visit!
I just have one question - are you excited about your new starts? 😉😉😉Love your videos, your stitching is beautiful and inspiring. Thanks for sharing.❤️
Morning Boo! To test your spray, cut a strip of linen from the border of your piece or a scrap to use for the test. Know that the distressing will be darker and less mottled on one the side with the spray. Love your works, but love you more! ❤️
Kansas City Girl in a Colorado World used the Tim holtz spray I believe in one of her weekend vlogs. I’m pretty sure that was the brand she used and didn’t like it. She tested on scrap fabric first
