the weather? even when a pilot checks the weather. it can change.. the world isn't perfect. we are only as good as the info we receive. It rained/ or it started to spit. rain. the pilot made good choices.and i can't make fault. "live and learn or learn and live" life is a risk.
Flying in rain is not a good idea because a wet wing has a high stall speed, but I knew I could either fly around or above the rain in this case and I wouldn't be in it for long.
Hi! Greetings from Finland. I like your style of making videos. Have you ever thought of making a video of in-flight photography? I am a paramotor pilot as well and it would be interesting to know about the basis you choose a camera and lens. Is there any must have zoom range or some other features you would need? What is the secret for top in-flight photos.
Thanks for dropping by! Welcome. I did think about doing this a while ago, but didn't think many people would be interested so I didn't bother. There is a lot to consider and to get the most out of photography quite a bit of work is done in Lightroom afterwards. I will think about creating one.
There aren't many videos on this topic on youtube. But I think many pilots still carry a camera with them, at least sometimes. However, it is a world of its own. Flying opens up a whole new way of photographing.
Love your videos! I have a few questions... What would happen if your motor cut out mid flight, could you safely glide down? And secondly, is there ever a risk you slip out of your harness/seat?
When flying it's always good to assume your engine will quit at any moment. So don't fly low over a lake, over a town, etc. The only risk for falling out of the seat is if you don't do up your leg straps. (I've seen that happen too!)
It will be good to look back at this video showing the floods hoping that we will have 30 degrees all summer
Fingers crossed!
Wow that was cool Mark, you do look so vulnerable though in that big sky. You need to do a video making and drinking a cup of tea on the wing.
Complete with teapot, tea cosy and cups and saucers? You got it! :D
Nice one Mark, looked really interesting with the clouds to play with!
I love playing around up there!
Recently found your videos, really enjoy them. I’m a pilot from the Isle of Man but haven’t made PPG videos for a long time 🙂
Glad you like them! Do you still fly?
If I am ever able to try this sport I would not attempt flying if there was the remotest chance of rain. I wouldn't take the risk!

Nevermind, just seen your engine failure video 😂
