I got the 7 ply version as I have heard the flight decision have a tendency to crack around the edges and razer tail very quickly. But I have to agree that the shape of these boards are incredible. So much better than a popsicle
Yup I agree, the board will lose shape around the tail edges, and will razor tail but overall I think it’s worth the experience cuz it’s totally different and fun compared to the average popsicle deck. It’s like a flatground cruiser trick deck . Thanks for stopping by and sharing your opinion 🤙🤙
Lmfaoo yeah them chips are craaaazy. I went through two of these decks and I still have a brand new one that I’ve held onto for a year. Not sure if I’ll skate it cuz I wanna keep it as Like a cool trophy haha
I dont skate mine very often, kinda just a spare. But i thought the tail is wearing out really fast for the little amount that i use it vs regular popsicle 7 ply
It’s hard to not tail scrape, especially when you practice manuals a lot , but I feel like there’s little things we can do to not scrape and get razor tail as fast, like stopping with your foot helps a lot. Razor tail will happen no matter what tho I just try not to think about it and get the most out of the board
I would love to try one of these board not necessarily the andy but 100 seems not worth it cool you enjoy them though maybe I'll have to break the ice one day and just try one
Yeah it’s a bit pricey, I suggest trying to buy one second from Facebook marketplace or OfferUp , make sure it’s in good condition before you buy( no crack, chips, etc). But tbh getting one brand new is best. It’s really worth it cuz you will fall in love with it! It would be pretty interesting to see this same board in a smaller size like 8.25” they should make those aswell.
Haha yeah it became a regular looking deck . I have another new one but ima hold on to that one until I’m an old man I just love the board from a collectible point of view now. The shape, the graphics, and I got some cool stranger things griptape on it aswell!
I shoe goo the tail to maintain it's shape and prevent razor tail. At first you might think that it'll be bad for tail slides and whatnot, but it just scrapes off and you can reapply more.
Yeah I tried that before but I used gorilla glue and although it did work it fell off soo fast that it’s just not worth reapplying. I haven’t tried the goo but i would assume it would come off just as fast haha
Finally I retired mine, there's no more tail, and the nose is awfully misshapen now, I might buy another on Christmas or something, meanwhile I'm skating a passport one with 2 horses( horses are now gone lol) and it's pretty solid, I didn't know how much pop I lost withe the heron deck until I started using the passport deck

Mine is almost unrecognizable now, wood fly's off as i nose slide 😂

Does is still feel good skating it when it is worn out like that? Or does it become worse than a popsicle deck?
i skated the andy deck like for a year and its looks better than yours :)
What type of skateboarding do you do?
@@Allthingslife30 street for the most

Sweet! I got a Kendall stranger things lenticular one! But I don't shred that one I only cruise
It’s funny that a worn down Andy board looks like his second shape.
Hahah so true, lol never would’ve expected this when I got the board in the beginning 😂🤙🤙
I heard in an interview that he designed the new shape off of when he liked his board the most after being worn down.
Love it
Thank you 🤙

@@Allthingslife30 just let it set for like a day and it'll last quite well. You will still definitely neet to do reapplications but not that often
I used 5000 wood glue on mine and let it dried for 2 days, it works but then new plies pull up, I just keep glueing them every week xD
@K_spawn nice I still have my old Andy Anderson decks I may try that and give them some more seshes

What trucks and what size trucks did you use?
Trucks on the used board: royals mids
Trucks on Slightly New Board: tensor Maglight wide trucks not sure how tall they are
