The best wheels for streets and old knees ever!
facts.
@@DarkoNomad true
I'm 38 and just got back into skating after 2 decades. I'm still not very great but do have the basics down. I got the dragons because I was hoping they would help with impact but not be super grippy and they did not disappoint. I love these wheels, they made the ride to the park on shit ground feel phenomenal. I just ordered the new Nano Cubics so I'm excited to try those.
Nano cubics seem very promising, i also can't wait to get my board on them
@@DarkoNomad I have had the Nano cubics now for 10 days and I love them. They shape of the wheel is fantastic, they are smooth as hell and still help with the impact for me. My new favourite wheel.
@@viracocha03 thanks for the feedback, it really made my morning :')
My local skateshop will get them within a few weeks, then I'll be able to try them out. Have a nice day ;')
@@viracocha03 They look soooo good, too!
im 10 years older but other than that the same exact story.
Sounds like I should try a set. My Rat Bones are getting kinda old, but I'm in my mid-60's and don't have anything but hang tens, slalom and transition pumps and kickturns left. (Its still fun)
I’ve been skating them at some old prefab outdoor parks. Working out well and they grip the slippery metal ramp surface while spf’s were like ice. Can’t wait to go try them in some concrete bowls.
I can attest to that. These wheels are the greatest for the streets! I want the green ones.
I love them, they got the green color PERFECT! 😍😍
Im 37, ive tried differrent wheels including bones formula x but all i can say, this is THE BEST EVER! the green makes it more cool
It's hard not to like the green, right? 😍😍
@@jephfandingo1438 absolutely! I have already the off white ones but green its just attractive
same here, been on a pair for a year now. and still going strong, they never failed me...atleast not yet. next up will be the 60s for a cruiser deck, i just cant with other wheels after being on the dragons. ive tried, i really have all the new once trying to do the same type of thing. but nope, i like the dragons the most
Love the video. I'm glad you finally reviewed this wheel
For the way I skate… these are the best wheels I’ve ever owned. I’ve only had them for like 12 hours. Slapped them on my stage xi’s and I was skating over literally everything. They slide better than the bones x97s
it's witchcraft. one of the few hype trains over the years that have definitely been worth the ticket. love 'em.
they DEFINITELY chip/chunk a bit and they DEFINITELY wear fast. but it is worth it.
i thought it was either all in my head or the ultra rough streets here that was making my wheels wear down so fast.
@@chrhadden you have a point. i think people like us are more apt to take these on rough surfaces which will wear them down faster. i was not necessarily prepared for the wear happening so quickly, but the other benefits are still worth the price of admission to me. i mentioned this chunking/wear thing in a post by Vern Laird who is a rep for Powell wheels and he deleted the comment, haha.
After spending more time with these dragons are they still 10/10? Super great review.
Jeff has the wheel but I don't think he has been skating much ... I'll ask him tho
just think how good they would be if you didnt get the smallest ones they make. i have tried small wheels in the past and it feels like the board is scraping the ground as i push 20 times to get one block. im the opposite i got the biggest ones they make (58) i cant see life without them.
The board reminds me of the Yeah Right! invisible skit 😆
oh yeah the invisible skateboard
I didn't mean for it to be that theme but afterwards I went "oh yeah" 😎😎😎
these aren't the first wheels in 93a 52mm that i owned i have GIRL 93a 52mm wheels that are rare, they lasted a long time 1 year, the chips are really small still noticeable but I just got the dragons yesterday time to see how long they will last
how did it go?
@@mehmetfratozgun6858 I gave them to my friend their too soft for me but rode over everything smooth, I stick to skating 99a spitfire classics same size
I’m switching to these dragons from Ricta Clouds 86a. I just want to learn powerslides while still keep the softness I am so used to after using clouds. I wonder if dragons will feel much harder than 86a Clouds.
if you get 93 dragon its probably feel the same ... maybe hair bit harder ... not by much !!
@@2FTSK8 thanks. That would be amazing if they will feel so close to Rictas.
@@2FTSK8 just got them. Amazing wheels. They are slightly harder than rictas but still give that smooth feeling of a soft wheel. They are also faster than rictas. And I can finaly make a squeaky noise with them with my mini powerslides. Really good wheels. Oh and one last thing, they are less bouncy than rictas, this helps with landing tricks.
@@pistopitpit yeah Powell definitely knows what they are doing ... I was surprised how versatile the wheels is ... Good choice!!!!
They are good but they do not skate like 101s
Close as we're gonna get for now from 93a's 😔😔 But close enough for me to be happy with them! Haha 😍😍
@@jephfandingo1438 same I do like them I like bieng able to power slide my cruiser I was riding rough riders before
Those are good cruising wheels I like those! 😀😀
i thought polyurethane scales only went to 100 after that it would be b40 or b something and the scales go from a to z 1 to 100 but anyhow i never was a guy who would change my 95s to 97s to skate a ramp. i tried some 80a wheels and they were way to spongey.why am i writing all this like anybody cares ?lol
@@chrhadden hahaha I care lol! Seriously everyone sharing experiences is what life's about! Actually from what I've seen at the skate shop, I think the hardest wheel before it switches to like "B" durometer are 103A wheels. I'd Google it but I'm lazy 😂 But I agree with you, I used to skate 101's but felt handicapped on rough ground with them, now that I've got these 93A Dragon wheels that still give me the slide I want, I feel like I can basically skate wherever I want 😀😀😀
George Powell is a genius.
I agree
@0:41
I didnt get a sticker with my wheels wtf lol 😂 😢😢😢
probably a mistake .. they usually come with a sticker
Mine did and it was sick
@@shannonandsheila1403 damn i got screwed lol haha my life..wah wah... 😛👍🤟
