The Add-On is now live at gigaloader.gumroad.com 🤫. Working on a tutorial now. I may put a free version without the teeth assets up for download too. Let me know if anyone is interested in that. But I will also add more assets like crowns, implants and more in the future.
A tutorial is realy needed. For example, the model I used to play with the Dental Add-On for Blender turns almost black or orange in edit-mode. The same is true with the blockout model created with Dental Add-On Blender. The reason is that the model has so much vertices ( I took a model from a real scan ). However, in the video, planes are used, which are fitted on the blockout model. But it is not shown how such a plane can be created and how a lines can be drawn on this planes. For the blockout it might it might be helpfull to adjust the blockout angle as well as the scale of the heatmap, as can be done in Exocad-Partial. Until now I did not find how this can be done with Blender. There seems to be just one blockout angel. But I am still learning. In any case, for 49 USD, the Dental Add-On Blender is a nice toy for dentists and dental technicians to learn about Blender. At least it is a usefull addition to the usual tutorials. But with a tutorial or a more descriptive, better explaining video tutorial it would be much more helpfull. Since I have many years of experience with Python (for a dental administration-aplication), I think Dental Add-On Blender is also also interesting example, which shows what can be done how with Python scripting in Blender.
Working on a tutorial now which addresses most of your points. Hopefully be a up within days....I'm just busy. But actually everything can already be adjusted just as in exocad-partial and more.
Great work. 👌👍 Do you know when you'll have your crown and bridge addon ready? I'd actually need that because I have to do this area almost exclusively.
hi, congratulations for this, excellent work! I´ve tried to download the addon, but the link isn´t working. Could you send another link to download? thanks a lot
i've just paid for the add on wondering if that tutorial was ever released as the video skips from being blocked out then goes into designing the major connector but doesnt show what you have clicked on to get that tool up. i am new to blender for dental and this design looks very nice just wondering what tool you used for the major connector thanks
