    I'm from Pakistan. I lived in Jamaica 2010-2012. It was the best time of my life. My dad worked at the Nestle Bogwalk factory, we used to come every day from Bogwalk to Kingston, as I used to study at AISK.
    Every Sunday we used to go to Linstead to buy cheap veggies, we also saw a Chinese merchant selling lamps there. I wonder how is it today. We used to go to Ocho Rios every months, visited montegobay once as well.
    Love you. Jamaica, land we love.

    What a dish pretty! A lot of persons dont use tomatoes when cooking ackee because they say its bitter but I often use it in my ackee and saltfish and it's fine. No bitterness at all. And yes ackee can be eaten just as how mummy prepare it or you can add saltfish, callaloo, salt mackerel, chicken back etc real yaadie style. Blessings to you and mommy Adrian. Big up unuself.

Then I looked up some recipes and found out they were poison! I thought I was going to die last night. I ate about five of them. The red part and all.

    This idea about poisonous ackee seems contradictory. I had a friend who told me they open the ackee in the canning factory. The ackee didn't open natraually. So I really wonder what is the truth.

    • @MorrisTimeCooking
      @MorrisTimeCooking  5 лет назад +1

      Robert Linton it’s only dangerous when it’s forced open. Once you allow them to open on the tree then it’s good to go because eBay then all the toxins would of drain out of the fruit.
