My sister and I were in their local store recently and I knew that fabric prices were high, but they wanted $15.00 a yard for fabric! That's too much!! I enjoy sewing, but it's cheaper to buy and alter than to buy and sew. Plus, they don't train their employees on craft supplies at all. One cashier didn't even know what are ceramics.
Yes, people are spending less on non essentials but people also make their own clothes and need fabric and notions. I remember when it was Joann Fabric. Now it has expanded to include crafts which , in my humble observations, take up most of the store space.
one thing that might help them is to redo their webpage to make more user friendly. ive tried to use it several times to be disappointed and known others to as well. then better train some employees. local store has some good staff but at xmas was 2 bad ones. 1st acted like didnt want to help me at all and she got a higher up to help me and she wont much better. i was looking for head pins and i have mobility issues which were reaching its limit so asked for help, and thanks to that i figuired out where they were since the manager person went to aisle was on but then told me they didnt have any, attitude crimped my "cookie" and i hobbled to aisle to look and found them and then hobbled to the quilt section and found the other thing i was looking for and had been told that too was not in. third item was actually not in stock.

Not surprising. Unfortunate, but... not surprising.
0:27 Omg that’s literally my exact Joann store nooo😢😢.
JoAnnes is too expensive!
The ladies that worked at the Joann's in my city in WA were generally so rude that I always avoided going there.

Jo-Ann who ?
I liked going to Joann…this is sad. All because of cheap imports and cheap prices cheap labor…its hard to find true American anymore.
People probably buy on Amazon, sadly, more than anything. 😢
*Jaw-dropped Pikachu meme*
sad
I don't believe it. 😮
