Yes, that was very disturbing to hear Luke say that about "Nikolas's blood in Lulu's veins, made him "feel less about Lulu", what a horrific thing to say about your own daughter. I mean Nikolas's bone marrow and blood saved Lulu's life, Luke seems to not take that into consideration "priority wise" about his own daughter's life...
They really ruined the Felicia character by putting her with Luke like they did. They trashed her as a mother from basically here on out and she didn't start out that way at all. From Maxie's birth to this point, Felicia was a great mother. Then they destroyed her, along with so many other characters.
I think you could be right about that. Laura liked being married (for quite a while) and she made a natural mother, very sweet and loving towards her children, including Nikolas. She wasn't a teenager anymore and began to find out who she was apart from Luke. Well, after her catatonia, she reentered real life, and even became mayor of P.C.
Frickin' Felicia. Luke and Felicia were the worst soap pairing ever. Not saying that they were bad actors or anything like that, it's just that the chemistry was never there. Luke and Tracey were a close second in that respect!
I loved the Luke and Tracy chemistry as for Luke and Laura their chemistry checked out a long time before that possibly because of Luke’s constant leaving and the constant separation of Luke and Laura at the very least they tried to get back together in 2003 but Rick Webber’s murder tore up that relationship and Laura was traumatized by it and it put her in a catatonic state for 4 years and Luke moved on Laura’s breakdown tore his heart to shreds! Laura tried marriage to Scotty Baldwin again but that failed big time Laura eventually found Kevin Collins great chemistry between these 2 outstanding characters and actor and actress
They should have paired Luke with Alexis. They had very good chemistry. Imagine if they hooked up back then and Alexis got pregnant with Luke's baby. I would have loved to see Laura's reaction. This would have been priceless.
@@bethstreich6565 I agree that Laura and Kevin make a good match. LnL were really exciting in their day, but Luke just couldn't settle down into a domestic life. Laura wanted stability, and to have children
Stefan was so boring and creepy over Laura - there was never anything between them but desperation. She was desperate to be feel loved when she was isolated on that island, he was desperate for a love she had for someone else. And they tried to follow through on past feelings that ultimately went nowhere. It would have been interesting to see how things would have changed had the Cassadine family not been brought back in 96- I for one would have been elated to see what storylines would have been brought up instead ;)
Staying with the script let's admit it. Laura chose Stefan and Nikolas, both of them, over Luke, Lucky and LuLu. She knew she couldn't have it both ways but she demanded it. She stopped loving Luke enough to betray him. She ended it, not Luke.
And she's about to pay the price, because its her fault, her interference which led to Helena faking Lucky's death and kidnapping him. Because Luke wouldn't be so dead set against the Cassadines if Laura just stayed with him Lucky and Lulu. He probably wouldn't even have stolen the Ice Princess from Helena.
Funny how Luke said basically the same thing to Lucky as Laura It was them because they put him on a pedestal Geeez give me a break it us you Luke !!!!
Honestly, I think they were trying to make her like a young Laura when she was married to Scott but having feelings for Luke and thus constantly hanging around the Campus Disco. Gotta remember how much the writers liked to recycle past storylines (Luke going after a pretty blond married woman). And of course the writers unfortunately didn't care how this would later ruin Felicia as a mother.
Laura married a young adventurer who swept her off her feet but inside, he was always Elm St. and kind of amoral, a fact Laura never understood, love is blind. When she saw clearly, he was all too flawed. She kept secrets from him so the marriage was a delusion. It wasn't real like Lucky thinks since it was based on a lie. Feelings are fleeting, love based on sacrifice is forever and rare.
I heartily disagree. Laura's true love has *always* been Luke Spencer and vice versa. They are each other's mutual obsession in life and it's been that way for four decades. The yin and yang, two totally different people with completely different personalities yet who fit together like two pieces of the same puzzle. Luke & Laura are soulmates and their love for one another is both epic and timeless.
Gloria Monty was brilliant, brought the show back froM oblivion, better than evening TV and many films in the acting and writing quality's much so they always featured stars like Liz Taylor, Sammy Davis, BB King.. TG admitted this, when they lost her, the show went downhill considerably, IMO
@@sallymiller1359 - I agree 110%. When GH lost Gloria Monty it was like losing the heart & soul of the show. Gloria fought fiercely for all her characters on that show but none more than Luke & Laura. Without Monty there would *be* no "Luke & Laura love saga", period. The absolute best years on GH (imo) was early 1979 to 2002, specifically the day Luke committed Laura to that damn insane asylum. However even by 2002 the writing had been in a steady decline for the previous 5 years or so. I could accept them breaking up L&L, heck even their divorce was not a massive upset for me because I always thought it was just par for the soap opera dramatic course. You need to create drama in order to keep any story moving along. That being said I *always* thought L&L would get remarried again - for real - and get a proper second chance together. No two characters in soap opera history deserve a happy ending more than Luke and Laura Spencer.
No matter how you feel about Felicia and Luke, this was a brilliant scene between the two of them. They were both halves of these separate, adventurous supercouples. So they understood the stakes and intensity of that type of relationship, and how sad when facing a breakup. I feel like soaps really rush marriages, they are cavalier about it. Not all the time, but there are always such off the wall things happening that it's easy to lose that devastation of divorce. They rarely tell truly grounded divorce stories. I mean Luke and Laura were married 20 years, I think that may be the longest marriage on a soap that actually had their wedding on screen. During this story, Luke and Laura had this realism. It's not that one thing went wrong, it's so much that has accumulated and broken them down. There was a build, a slow burn to this story. Unlike typical writing obstacles they throw at couples on soap operas, this felt more permanent. And they needed a lot of help, time to rebuild, radical honesty if they were to ever get back together. It couldn't be fixed by some plot device.
No matter what happened later between them, these are great Luke and Felicia scenes. Two halves of two huge, adventurous super couples, talking the reality of storied pasts, burdensome expectations and changing (or not, in the case of Luke and Frisco) with time and responsibility. Nobody else on the canvas at that time could’ve had this conversation with Luke so authentically.
Tptb didn't invest into Luke's side relationships like they did with the Cassadines. Sidelined Luke isn't pleasant just barges in without calling. Laura should have told Luke to call next time. What a jerk
iwould have believed luke and tammy before luke and felicia, yuk
What he just said about Loo Loo’s blood being mixed with Nick’s making him never feel the same about his daughter yuck just yuck
Felicia and Luke just don't look right together
I dont know how anyone continues to love Luke after his comments about Lulu.
I don't think he truly feels that way deep down inside. He's speaking out of anger and hurt right now.

Lucky you are to blame also you got involved in something that wasn't your business
how could laura be surprised and "floored" by divorce. YOU ARE DATING ANOTHER MAN! YOU TOOK OF YOUR WEDDING RING!
Laura is just STUPID in this scene.
She really was something else during this time wasn't she!? So glad Luke got a break from her whilst she was in this phase.
I DETESTED Laura during this time period. She was just God awful.
I just can’t stand to watch Stephan and Laura. The Cassidines are not good people. I never thought Laura would do this.
Boy they really made Laura stupid during this era
😂
She really was slow, sadly.
Felicia is one of the worst actresses I've ever seen...
Laura didn't grow up if she did she wouldn't have done this to Luke

Love Laura she’s not playing with Luke
Luke and his the old grey mare she ain’t what she used to be routine really 👀 look Peter Pan your no spring chicken your self
Luke standing at the door sad sacking it is pretty much a manipulation he’s not a good guy
I think Luke had better chemistry with decrepit decomposing Helene than anyone else
Luke was always a selfish controlling amoral SOB.. it was always his way or the highway! People do change, Laura grew up n that scared him!

Stefan is too busy thinking with another part of his anatomy.

Bobbie's child voice at times drives me nuts. She wasn't like that in the beginning but over the years she did this child voice delivery.
TG was 52 and GF was 37 when this was filmed. SN was 48.
You can't see who stepon is either
Isn't Felicia married? Why the constant hanging around Luke at out at Ruby's place?

Very often when Lucky and Laura talk to each other Lucky seems like the adult and Laura is the child.
Why is Stefan questioning Laura about her second visitor? It's none of his business.
You held his heart in your hands and you shattered it. Over and over. I dont think she ever grew up fully or ever really loved Luke.
Luke is so self-centered that he is disgusting. His ego is more important to him than his child's life.
