hello, please tell me, is this boat good for sailing in a big river (2km wide), with a stream speed of about 5 km/h, without a motor - only with oars, against the stream ???
@@8urgerkingfoot931 Honestly, this thing is a joke. It made out of some type of plastic, which must be uv stable, but it is not. It gets harder over time, so it can crack easily. I really dont know, how you can fix it. That was the reason, why i sold it.
Love it... with another .5 hp, you could almost plane off. A little work with props and setup, you should be hitting the 100 mph mark. I think the music is perfect.
A similar model is the honda 2hp outboard, I dont own the mercury shown above, however I bought a new 2011 honda 2hp outboard and it is positively the WORST engine (car, boat , lawnmower, etc...) that I have ever owned or operated. When you start the engine the propeller turns rapidly enough to jolt the boat forward. I takes 20 to 30 pulls to start when cold and if it is warm it doesnt start at all. If you do get it running, it may quit at any time. I mean... it just stop for no apparent reason, then you cannot start it until it cools. My brother in law bought one at the same time that I did and has the same exact issues. Dont waste your money, this is poorly designed and poorly manufactured.
gmansmile1 I just bought a 2.5 hp mercury 4 stroke from Bass Pro in Tn. and have had nothing but trouble! Had to take it back 3 times and they get it started but say not to put it in tilt position for more than 48 hours because needle valve will dry and stick, causing gas to keep flowing... said this is a common thing and to knock on the carb. to unstick it... took husband an hour of fooling with it today to start it then it sputtered and died after a few min. when he went to Neutral... I really hate this motor so far. Researching all I can but not confident. They don't take returns and it cost over $900.
+Terry Holden Suppose I would have bought it anyway. Otherwise I would not have had a motor. The same everywhere around here. Just didn't expect they would mess it up by over filling it with oil and it spilling out in my Jeep. You would think they would have made it right since it was their fault. But it is no longer an issue. Finally got it to work properly thanks to my husband keeping at it. I go to Cabelas now.
good for you, thanks for returning me reply, I didn't expect it. I myself have a small boat and was thinking of a motor built for boats but was also thinking of a different type engine that I could do things with myself like, it would be a used motor and something I could make quieter , put a oversized propeller on it so that I don't have to have high revs to get a decent speed and the lower rpms helps to keep back the ring tones that comes in an aluminum boat. I don't care for the exhaust going into the water with the fish I just don't think that is right somehow, also it would be a bigger size motor they seem to have less vibration. but anyway its what I do every time, its to easy to just buy something, but you have to just decide to like all the down sides of doing that. This way I have exactly what I want that suits me to a T, but anyway thank you for taking the time and have a blessed sunday what is remaining of it. T Holden.:)
I just picked one of these up, can't wait for weather to improve to try it out :)
Length : 2.45m - 8'0.5''

Weight : 39Kg - 86 lbs
Capacity : 3 pers./639 lbs
Engine maxi power: 3 CV

What type of blanket did you use when sliding the boat off the car?
It look like a great boat, how heavy is the boat?
I have found an old one and starting renovation. Do you think it would handle a 10hp with hydrofoils if you drive in the front?
The problem is the weight of the outboard. The BIC 245 can handle only 25 kg on the transom.
@@CsokisMorisz you think it would crack or go to much below water? Beacus i can fix reinforcement

@@CsokisMorisz thank you for the honest answer. I will try to lay new plastic. Mabey strenghen up the rear and test it to the limits. 👌
Jó kis teknő :)
The name of the song please?
@inyike a sok megfeszített, munkával teli nap után tudni kell lazítani :)
That's exactly how I do it. I'm modifying mine to give more bouyancy on the back to take the wieght on the motor.

I am wondering about the fact, that 2.5 HP are enough to haule the boot against the danube........awesome.
why rap why
Cause it's pimping.
You had some breeze on this spin.......whaler about same size actually.
i need it, how much ?
was that full speed with that motor?
does this motor still run well?
Andrew Brown yes:)
i dont know drums are the life?
@johnonorgan
C'est la vie :)
Pray to stay alive...
I wanted to hear the motor not the drum machine

Tilt the engine up and you will go faster
No, it will just push the rear into water.
This heads up I was ment to send, before seing seing your comment. Trimming corrctly the boat helps a lot!
I did and a love it
geeeeeeeeek lol ;)

Odd choice in music for what you're showing.

+1065Olivia should have asked about the return policy before you bought it.
