- A MUSICAL NAVARATRI- Day 4- "Akhilandeswari"
This Navaratri day, Vignesh Ishwar and I bring to you, "Akhilandeswari Rakshamam" in the Raga Dwijavanthi, a grand composition of Sri Mutthuswamy Deekshitar.
I cannot describe how much I enjoyed singing with Vignesh in the beautiful space, "Shamkaram" in Besant Nagar. A perfectly tuned Tanpura, a hall with perfect acoustics, rustic decor, a beautiful composition and two like- minded musicians made it an unforgettable evening!
Check out my RUclips channel for the full recording: / srisan89
As always, share the music, spread the joy!
Wish you all a very happy Navaratri!

You two just sit on a bench with a tanpura, wave your hands just like that, render a classic piece…. and think it will not make people cry!
I am simply a Rasika. I am here to enjoy. No comments.

soulful....Listening to a Diskhitar masterpiece with Tanpura Sruthi as the main accompaniment....ecstasy.....
Dwijanthi ! This is the rarest , sweetest ragha in Karnatic music
world This is the master piece of
Saint Muthuswamy Dikshithar.. Both of them rended it excellently !
This is a master piece from Saint MD that is soaked in bhakthi and total devotion, almost a blissful surrender. Signature piece of MS Amma to boot. With such a pedigree behind this krithi, full justice has been done by Sriranjani & Vignesh. Simply awesome!
Just felt that the volume on the tampura was an override on the sahitya at certain places and could have been toned down overall or adjusted post recording. May be Vignesh could have attempted a slightly higher scale for an evenly poised/matched presentation.
Beautiful voices
Dwijavanthi raga itself is very soothing. Dikshitar's composition is wonderful .
The two artists did full justice to both . 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Very good. Great to listen to this masterpiece of Dikishitar rendered so well. Being from Trichy this song has a special appeal for us and I vividly recall my sister sing this beautifully at the Sannidhi of Ambal.
Sublime... beautifully rendered by two silken voices. Tampura volume was a bit high. It could have been a bit softer.
I always remember maharaja puram santanam whenever I hear this kriti ....but after a long time listening this kriti in other voice...the duo have really done justice to the raga and vilamba kriti
Being a rasigar from Then-africa , enjoying every song from Siriranjani,
Vignesh ishwar sounds exactly like TMK Garu
fantastic singing by both young talented artists
Very nice sriranjani. It is very melodious in ur voice.
While listening, tambura volume is high. It overtakes both ur voice.
Just a suggestion, reducing volume of tambura will bring both of ur voices nd the beauty of the song with its melody.
I am Suganthi, ur first rasiga, hope u remember, u my favorite singer.
Me too. I’m. Mangala the same suganthiis saying all the best sriranjani
So Beautiful ! If the volume of sruthi / sruthi box is reduced it will be even better
Melodious to say the least. The Tanpura accompaniment adds to the Blissful atmosphere. Akhilandeswari in Raaga Dwijawanti and Jambupathe in Raaga Yaman , both Hindustani Raagas. Was it coincidence that Dikshitar composed in the Hindustani Raagas?
Singing this kriti in slow speed shows the real talent and breath control. Very beautifully rendered. Heard KVN sing this kriti in this slow speed.
This song is always sung at a slow speed. It's supposed to be.
I am a professional singer who learnt thizz song..... It sooooo beautiful and graceful I can hear this song forever 👌👏👍💐😍🤩😘😗☺️😚😙🥰🥳💋❣️💞💗💖
Super singing. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Continuing .....
.......enjoying the singing of Sriranjani , making a comment is not of place . The listener is enwrapped in her soulful bhaavam presentation.
Omg this is simply superb. My most favorite song and soo beautifully rendered. I had tears watching. Blissful tears ... thank you 🙏😘
Thank you, Kokila!
Truly beautiful! Sung with such taste, simplicity, and exquisite artistry. Thank you!
Mesmerising rendition by both the dpyens

@@kaladwarakanath5503 yes. Just pasted the virutham as everyone might know the Kiriti lyrics 😊
@@ARUNKUMAR-gf3zv Thank you very much!
The tamburi nadam is amazing. It has added richness and beauty to the krithi both sriranjini maam and Vignesh sir have rendered this very beautifully ❤️❤️❤️👍👍👌👌
Superb akka .... just heard it now in the morning... very soothing
Very beautiful dynamic dwijavanti! Heard a new, swift and crisp dimension of it, in the sloka part. Graceful & delicate handling of the raga by both you guys! Pranams :)
In praise of Goddess Parvathi. Great.
God bless you Sriranjani.
excellent singing by the duo. they need more recognition and highlighting
Excellent rendering... Soothing music... Hearing the krithi sung nicely after a time... Hats off..! Thank you both..! 🙏
This is so sublime! :) one of the most beautiful renditions of Dwijavanthi
Excellent with melodious voice. The sloka also very soothing. Thank u for sharing. God bless you my children.
Apart from singing, I appreciate her smiling face and கண்ணை உறுத்தாத dress sense.
She broke the norms of carnatic musicians wearing costly silk sarees with gold and diamond jewelleries.
Wow wow wow....so soothing
Beautiful composition of Saint Deekshitar! 🙏Melodious rendering of the kriti!
Very very very nice ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Nice voice..both are complemented each other very beautifully 👋👋👋
Such a blissful dwijavathi .... 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Mellifluous singing.. beautifully blended..soul stirring piece ..
This rendition is excellent! 🙏Soothing and beautiful Dwijavanthi raga, great composition! 🙏
Beautiful rendition.
Thamboora sound is very high.
👌👌👌very nice. Vignesh sings with ease like a breeze
Stay blessed both of u Good krithi and very divine
God bless you all ❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Wow… mesmerizing!!! Thanks for posting such a beautiful kriti. IMO, Dwijavanthi should be called morning raga, not Bhoopalam.
If I had an MP3 version of this song, I’d play it every morning as soon as I wake up
soothing to listen to amidst a beautiful decor.
Wonderful rendition. May I ask who are those Siddha purushas in the portraits behind you. Thank you
Superb!!
Melting. Soul.
Graceful and melodious rendition by you both. Thank you for uploading here.
Wonderfull rendering maam!!
Very nice & soothing music! God bless you 🙏
Soothing rendition. Excellent
I have always enjoyed vocal singing without the accomplishment of violin and mridangam. The accompanying instruments add more sound and shadows the melody of the song . It is more peaceful this way to hear the beauty of the ragam and the song. I like the instruments individually .
Awesome. Tanpura volume was bit high. Excellent voice. I liked it very much. This is one of my favourite raga
Mesmerising!!!!!! Wishing you good luck ever
Soulful rendering. 🙏🙏🙏
beautiful!
My favourite Keerthana
So nice! Awesome
Wow.thodarattum.valarattum thangal esai Pani.
Namaste amma🙏
Marvelous.
Damn addicted, Love this ❤️
Great!
Very well rendered
Great As someone mentioned keep the volume of sruti little subdued
Otherwise it is very soothing and pleading.
Waiting for more
அருமை அருமை பாடலை கேட்டு ரசித்தோம் வாழ்த்துக்கள்
Excellent rendition.
Thank you
Wow! It would be great if you both can perform together!
Shabash. Loved the rendition
Stop there! Open your mouth, both of you! There! I see saraswati dancing on your tongue and voice!
Amazing singing!
Soothing
Beautiful rendition. Very soulful. But I think the tampura volume kind of over powers both yours that doesn’t take away anything from your singing but there are parts where I really wished the tampura was a little softer. God bless you both in abundance in your musical journey.
Noted, thank you!
Agree fully
Agree.
Very nice concept and rendered beautifully Sriranjani.
Thank you
Soul soothing rendition., 👌👌👍✌️
Please excuse my distraction-question. Whose photographs are those on the shelf in the room behind?
Super 🙏
Dwi joy!!
Lovely. Melodious. A little reduction in sruti box volume would be better

Meaning:
Oh Akhilandeshwari! The one who is adept in the traditions of the Agamas (Vedas), please protect me.
Her inherent nature pervades all the worlds, is pure, sublime. She is the dark-complexioned one and is the repository of all arts.
She is worshipped by Lambodara (Ganesha) and Guruguha (Murugan). She possesses shining long tresses and always sports a graceful smile. She is the supreme one worshipped by Saraswati. She is the bestower of boons and the daughter of Himavan (King of Mountains), the honorable one. She is Sharada, venerated by Indra and Vishnu. She is extolled through raga jujavanti (dvijaavanti) and takes delight in music of the instruments like jhalli, maddala, and jarjhara. She is the conferrer of supreme knowledge.
super😍😍
Simply out of the world
Thank you!
Nicely trendered
Super
Just an instrument but what a great performance
Please remove the ad in the middle of the recording! It spoils the musical experience.
This video is not monetised. Strange that ads are appearing. Thanks for bringing to my notice.

Is this your brother?
Super rendition..but tambura volume is high..
It's raga is dwijavanti
Ad spoils in the middle
Is the Tanpura Sruthi not dominating Vocals. Otherwise a nice rendition.
Beautiful. But thambur sound is high
Ok
Excellent, soulful rendition, but adding the percussion sound would have elevated the listening experience by a notch or two!
Typing error by Google pleasing not pleading sorry
Tambura volume is too loud it subdue sthe voice
These youngsters rock, we only want them on the dias..We dont want Afro-American's mother-in-law. Let her remain on the Skype discussing useless matters.
#Awesome
I agree with u
Afro americsn is also a human . His life also matters. Just appreciate the music rendered
not their race background and colour OK
What is this fu*king argument. I am a Brahmin too and have a dark skin like an African American. Would you skip me? But who cares? Who gave you the certificate?
