Ngoc Ling Truong rv is my ult group so ive seen it before. i actually think that rv's perfect velvet is the darker version of this concept. props to them for maintaining the subtle creepy and eerie vibe that f(x)'s art video established.

Amber Siboun Well that being said SM stuck f(x) in a box during this era too (i.e. Rum Pum Pum Pum). And for me Call Me Baby was genius. SM stripped them of the method they usually use for their guy groups (flashy costumes, loud overwhelming music production) and just had a chill cohesive song with the guys just dancing in outfits I think I'd actually see them wear (do not even get me started on the MAMA, History, and Wolf eras in terms of costuming, just no) and it worked for them.
Absolutely Pink Tape was f(x)'s best era. They didn't make a comeback for more than a year (as usual) and these lights and effects - no one had done that kind of photoshoots before. Even the album is so unique. It looks like a video tape but when you open it its a cd~ The album is a story! Not only photoshoots but its like they made a story of it.
민희진의 뉴진스도 많이 좋지만.. 난 역시 민희진의 에프엑스가 제일로 좋은 거 같다. 특히 에프엑스의 정체성 그자체인 크리스탈의 존재감이.. + 설리의 신비로운 비쥬얼 + 엠버라는 캐릭터 자체 모든 게 에프엑스를 유일무이한 걸그룹으로 만들었던 거 같다. 10년이 지나도 이 영상을 찾게 되는 이유.
난 핑크테잎 정수정을 사랑하지만 유독 여기서 앰버가 머리 미는 장면이 넘 조음.. 맨날 머리 길어라 예쁠것같다 소리를 활동 내내 들었는데 민희진은 에프엑스 멤버들의 개성을 그냥 다 살려주고 있는 그대로 봐주면서 몽환적으로 담은 거 같음 뉴진스도 그런 부분 많잖음.. 사람을 볼 때 이미지 만드는 것도 중요하지만 그사람이 갖고있는 걸 최대한 끌어내서 본인 미학과 섞는 느낌이 진짜 세련됨

Well since the lyrics of Shadow talks about a girl who has fallen in love to the point where she follows the person she loves wherever he goes (hence the name, shadow) I think this artfilm kinda portrays the fantasy world the "shadow" chooses to stay in. And as Krystal said in the beginning of the video "I hide behind my back, and postpone all answers" its as if the shadow wants to stay in her fantasy world and doesnt want to come back to reality.

핑크테이프가 대단한 이유는 이 앨범 타이틀곡 첫사랑니 뮤비만 봐도 알겠지만 2013년 당시에는 일렉트로닉, 세련미, 로봇기계, EDM 이런게 완전 판을 치고 있었음 이게 몇십년전 레트로 감성을 가져온거라 완전 무에서 유를 창조한건 아니지만 2013년 엔터판에서는 이런 느낌을 거의 처음 창조한거나 마찬가지. 요근래 에스엠의 아웃풋보다 훨씬 완성도 높은건 누구나 알고 이걸 디렉팅한 민희진도 에셈나가서 요즘 준비하는 프로젝트 보면 핑크테이프만 못함. 아무리 이수만도 민희진도 능력 좋지만 전성기라는건 무시 못하나버...
어떤게 레트로라는거지 도대체,, 이 아트필름 자체는 레트로가 아니라 그 당시 패션업계에서 한창 유행이 시작되던 필름 에스테틱을 차용했을 뿐이지 pink tape은 EDM의 정수인 앨범인데 설명을 완전 딴판으로 해놓네. 당시 힙하디 힙하던 덥스텝을 걸그룹 아이돌에 녹여내는 SM 프로듀싱에 리스너들 극찬이 쏟아져서 더더욱 pink tape이 명반이 되는데 일조했다고 할 수 있을 정도로 일렉트로닉댄스뮤직 즉 다시말해서, EDM이라는 장르에 SM도 미쳐있던 시기의 앨범이다. 영상 표현을 저렇게 했다고 이게 레트로인건 아니야;; 이 앨범에서 굳이 레트로를 꼽자면 여우같은 내친구인데, 이 앨범에서 유독 명곡으로 꼽히는 첫사랑니, toy, signal, airplane, step 같은 곡들은 SM EDM의 정점에 있는 곡들이다. 그 이후 몇년뒤 미니멀리즘이 급 유행하기 시작하면서 NCT로 실험을 한거고. 살다살다 핑테가 레트로 감성이라는 건 처음듣네
에프엑스는 가장 스엠다운 그룹이 아님. 동방신기, 슈퍼주니어, 소녀시대 이런 그룹들이 오히려 슴덕한테도 그렇고 대중들한테 메이저 취향으로 먹힌거고 민희진 그 고유의 마이너함을 소화한 건 샤이니와 에프엑스라고 생각함. 그저 대중들의 취향조차 바뀌게 만든 에프엑스의 소화력과 민희진의 기획력이 대단... 에프엑스 보고싶다

"Love exists but with an absence of eternity" Love does exist but it is not forever "At the first moment of a lovers encounter, there is an affirmation of love" When true loves or soul mates first meet they will feel a connection aka love at first sight "Psychologically lunacy, emptiness, panic, delusions that the moment will last forever." Insanity, emptiness, panic, delusions that the moment will last forever (the last bit could either mean thinking and hoping love will last forever when it won't or thinking and hoping the beginning of love will last forever when it won't) "I'm seized by desire" they're emotions are taken over by want and desire "I hide behind my back and postpone all answers" They ignore logic and reason and and ovoid answering the questions in they're minds/they don't think properly so they ignore the obvious, that their love will not be forever in simple words they are saying love is real and so is love at first sight but love isn't forever. When they first fall in love they are full of different emotions and are confused. They are taken over by desire (most likely they desire their "lover") Because of their mixed emotions and desire for, what they believe is, their 'true love' they ignore any doubt and common sense in their mind.
Igna Powers what I meant was, the way it's phrased is so awkward and clunky. The sentences technically make sense but they're not very natural sounding. No one, not even the sappiest prose writer would ever put together sentences like this. The diction of the whole thing reads like it was written by someone who kind of understands English, but relied on a thesaurus to write it for them.
Let's be honest, SM always make something not following the trend but people didn't like it when it's first appeared. What SM created is the trend later

SM stripped them of the method they usually use for their guy groups (flashy costumes, loud overwhelming music production) and just had a chill cohesive song with the guys just dancing in outfits I think I'd actually see them wear (do not even get me started on the MAMA, History, and Wolf eras in terms of costuming, just no) and it worked for them.
Absolutely Pink Tape was f(x)'s best era. They didn't make a comeback for more than a year (as usual) and these lights and effects - no one had done that kind of photoshoots before. Even the album is so unique. It looks like a video tape but when you open it its a cd~ The album is a story! Not only photoshoots but its like they made a story of it.

유독 여기서 앰버가 머리 미는 장면이 넘 조음.. 맨날 머리 길어라 예쁠것같다 소리를 활동 내내 들었는데 민희진은 에프엑스 멤버들의 개성을 그냥 다 살려주고 있는 그대로 봐주면서 몽환적으로 담은 거 같음
뉴진스도 그런 부분 많잖음.. 사람을 볼 때 이미지 만드는 것도 중요하지만 그사람이 갖고있는 걸 최대한 끌어내서 본인 미학과 섞는 느낌이 진짜 세련됨

핑크테이프가 대단한 이유는 이 앨범 타이틀곡 첫사랑니 뮤비만 봐도 알겠지만 2013년 당시에는 일렉트로닉, 세련미, 로봇기계, EDM 이런게 완전 판을 치고 있었음 이게 몇십년전 레트로 감성을 가져온거라 완전 무에서 유를 창조한건 아니지만 2013년 엔터판에서는 이런 느낌을 거의 처음 창조한거나 마찬가지. 요근래 에스엠의 아웃풋보다 훨씬 완성도 높은건 누구나 알고 이걸 디렉팅한 민희진도 에셈나가서 요즘 준비하는 프로젝트 보면 핑크테이프만 못함. 아무리 이수만도 민희진도 능력 좋지만 전성기라는건 무시 못하나버...
위에 말한 일렉트로닉 세련미 이런게 지금보면 촌스럽다고 느껴지듯이 이런 몽환, 레트로, 키치한 분위기도 분명히 진부해지고 촌스러워지고 그땐 그랬지 하는 날이 올거임 하지만 그런날이 오기 전까지는 분명히 핑크테이프가 쭉 최고로 회자될것임
어떤게 레트로라는거지 도대체,, 이 아트필름 자체는 레트로가 아니라 그 당시 패션업계에서 한창 유행이 시작되던 필름 에스테틱을 차용했을 뿐이지 pink tape은 EDM의 정수인 앨범인데
설명을 완전 딴판으로 해놓네.
당시 힙하디 힙하던 덥스텝을 걸그룹 아이돌에 녹여내는 SM 프로듀싱에 리스너들 극찬이 쏟아져서 더더욱 pink tape이 명반이 되는데 일조했다고 할 수 있을 정도로 일렉트로닉댄스뮤직 즉 다시말해서, EDM이라는 장르에 SM도 미쳐있던 시기의 앨범이다.
영상 표현을 저렇게 했다고 이게 레트로인건 아니야;; 이 앨범에서 굳이 레트로를 꼽자면 여우같은 내친구인데, 이 앨범에서 유독 명곡으로 꼽히는 첫사랑니, toy, signal, airplane, step 같은 곡들은 SM EDM의 정점에 있는 곡들이다.
그 이후 몇년뒤 미니멀리즘이 급 유행하기 시작하면서 NCT로 실험을 한거고. 살다살다 핑테가 레트로 감성이라는 건 처음듣네

They are taken over by desire (most likely they desire their "lover") Because of their mixed emotions and desire for, what they believe is, their 'true love' they ignore any doubt and common sense in their mind.
Igna Powers what I meant was, the way it's phrased is so awkward and clunky. The sentences technically make sense but they're not very natural sounding. No one, not even the sappiest prose writer would ever put together sentences like this. The diction of the whole thing reads like it was written by someone who kind of understands English, but relied on a thesaurus to write it for them.
