as a yank so stoked for real football in usa
thank u nrl for starting up here
next year gonna go road trip to see two game
u guys got the best players no prima donnas
tuffest atheletes i've ever seen
i've been watching for 5 yrs now i adopted the knights as my team
nothing but upwards for knights
i'd like to see a little adjustment to spine to get cogger in could knights switch jackson hastings to the # 13 i've seen old games where brad fitler played as 13
get as many ball handlers on field
and they need a bit more BEEF up front in the 8/10
ohhhh mate if you like it that much you NEED to come down for a final season this was nothin compared to how tough the finals are….
Honestly proud to be an NRL fan today. Well done to everyone who made this happen!
Had a fun time watching this live for the first time 🇺🇸
NRL is like the 5th most popular in Australia, AFL is 1st.
@@NRKA
All very interesting but
What’s that got to do with price of fish ?
@@NRKA What's the 2nd, 3rd & 4th then?
@@mrchico2621 golf, tennis, cricket
@@NRKA Golf more popular than RL in Aus? I dunno
How do these blokes start a season - overseas - at such a level of skill cohesion snd intensity? Mind blowing.
Probably the best opening games of any season I've seen in my 30 years of watching
For the fans in the stadium, there was no tackle count to be seen anywhere. Also no commentary or explanation of what was going on for the Yanks in the crowd (like, for example, tackle count restarts). I think if NRL really wants to expand the audience for the sport, they could have done a better job.
Their trying to attract the tv and betting audience they can see that on their screens ,the crowd in attendance is a bonus
It’s the viewers job to catch the rules
Very happy the NRL tried something like this. And it seems to be a success.
But if the NRL had a bit more vision they would of given all American children under 10 years of age FREE admission to the games..
it’s not about winning adults over with our game.
It’s about winning kids over..
What are under 10 year Olds at Las Vegas for?
@@tarksable 🤣🫵👍
@@tarksable I mean it would be heaps cheaper for the locals in Las Vegas to bring their families to the game and have a great night out experiencing Rugby League …
They come back next year bring more friends and family
The year after that etc rinse and repeat .
Snowball effect.
And percentage of those kids grow up wanting to move to Australia
Game grows and grows etc etc yadda yadda yadda
You know what I mean
@@tarksable The only time I was in Las Vegas was when I was a young child. My memories from the trip were a knight show where the knights were all different colors (we stayed in the Excalibur) and playing the water gun game in an arcade.
Looking forward to seeing how Morgan Smithies & Kai Pearce Paul get on, on their debuts this morning/tonight in just under a couple hours from now, for Canberra & Newcastle respectively. I'm a Wiganer & the game starts at 4:30am here. Glad I'm not in work tomorrow!
Smithies is an absolute workhorse, hard as nails too. KPP is a silky skilled second rower, great passing game & gets stuck in in defence as well. The NRL's bagged itself a couple of goodens from Super League, as a Wigan fan I'm sad to see them both go, they were a big part of the team.
Put the warriors on next time....up the wahs... it's our year 😝💯
Curiously, a Las Vegas local who attended the games mentioned on RUclips that he would be surprised if there were more than 25,000 at the game. This ground is a local venue for this guy and I would imagine he knows what a good crowd there looks like. Given the number of empty seats above ground level (that weren’t shown on tv), I’d have to think he may be closer to the truth than the NRL, or any of its media mouthpieces. Just once, it would be nice if the NRL didn’t bullsh1t their supporters.
It doesn't have a following here..... I saw it played when I was in Oz and thought is it was the dumbest sport out.
Figures..
Smart people don't play it so why would smart people manage it
Yet when the ABs played in Chicago the US eagles at soilder feild ten years ago they had a sold out stadium of 60k plus not a seat avaliable and they play there every two yrs they played Ireland there sold out. The NRL are so far behind the feild in growing the game in the US.
@@timmybobby4052 As opposed the future neuro surgeons and astrophysicists playing NFL and NBA, what's wrong, not enough advertisements for ya?
Well i watched another youtuber who said there was at least 40k.. this is a local guy too. I guess you shouldn’t believe everything right? Lol
I was there last night, attendance was a touch over 40k they claim
If only the NRL went to Las Vegas in 2014 and took that years Warriors team. I know they would’ve played their hearts out to show off. The runs from Kata and Hurrell wouldve been unreal
Love it, should do the World Club Challenge here next year.
I'm assuming, apart from ex-pat aussies, kiwis and brits, the crowd are americans there for the padless hits 😂😂
"ex-pat" lol
I think las Vegas is the beginning other major cities wants part of the NRL with LA dallas or Miami
whoever was the video ref clearly didnt see the ball hit the ground BEFORE the line to give manly 24
Living in AFL heartland of Adelaide, the NRL is amazing but your set needs some work. A new coat of paint behind the presenter. First impressions count ❤
AFL needs a new coat of paint full stop....the worlds worst sport.
@@Lee-qj6fi it’s constantly reinventing itself 🙄
Naf response but
Those who think that Gridiron players are "Gladiators" & think they play the toughest game with their helmets & shoulder pads might re-think how long they would last on a NRL field without all that padding.
Not to mention…how much breaks they have between plays🤦🏽♀️boring lol! Buh love seeing our Rugby/League branching off & showing other countries our athleticism🙏💪
helpstopanimalabuse8153, I feel ad for people like you who are incapable of understanding that different sports have different rules.
@@naysm5768 I bet you also love your cricket, the most boring game ever invented by humans.
Look at John Frawleys comment. Sorry buddy but your out voted on this one. @@davidhoward4715
Greatness is inevitable when NRL lands in the US, thank you Russell Crowe you are my hero
Great!
The teams played rougher in Vegas.
Illegal tackles were allowed and un necessary hard tackles were made. Americans please be scared of NRL and make paddings n other safety gear compulsory in all NRL USA matches..😅
It was excellent 👏 👌
Now if only Major League Rugby got this much hype
Tbf this is the pinnacle of rugby league, they were always going to make more waves than a lesser domestic league in any form of rugby. You'd have to compare this to the All Blacks playing international test matches in the 'states, and they've pretty much sold out stadiums every single time iirc.
It's "LAS Vegas" NOT "LOS Vegas".
I thought it was Lay Vegay
Sorry but all Australians say it as Los Vegas.
@@Brad-lt2re After all these years as Australian I didn't realize I pronounced it that way!
1:44 🤷♂️
Americans use pads Aussies we don’t lolz
Sad you pay your athletes pennies with no protection lol
