I always love putting everything back before testing that the part i replaced works

Looks pretty good but I don't think it's necessary to disconnect electricity, supply and drain lines. All the dishwashers I've ever removed have had sufficient slack in the lines to pull the dishwasher out far enough to perform this operation.

I'm surprised they didn't show the repairman adjusting his pants and hard hat.

Replaced mine without disconnecting anything. Just turned off the main power, pulled the washer out a few inches and the rest by hand and a couple scratches to my arm :)

It would have been informative if you show where the springs are located!

My thoughts exactly! Everything is so thorough EXCEPT the reason we're watching.

NOTHING needs to be disconnected. Just slide it out, replace the spring or cord, and slide it back in.

That's what I was thinking. Why do more than you need to??

I am leaving a note for other people to not suffer the same way I did. If you have a kitchenaid kdte704dbl0 you do not need to mess with the terminal box as it is not designed to be removed.

The rope on our dishwasher came off, spring is fine. Hope it don't cost touch.

more like an hour plus job, of disconnecting electricity and water supply, replacing part 5 minutes but the moving in and out was an hour.

I would like a good user manual for my new Kitchenaid dishwasher. Not much information in the quick reference I received with dishwasher.

Yeah, no, you don't have to take the drain hose off from the disposer - if you have to, simply remove the one at the discharge pump. Same with the electrical and water, a proper installation should have left enough slack to do simple work like this, you just added 20 minutes to a 10 minute job.
